For all the breed has the reputation of big, rough tough, goes on forever, in actuality they are prone to all sorts of issues, often are big softies in personality and their digestive system often needs cosseted 😆.
its really sad how many go at 8 so please know wattydog is definitely winning at life getting beyond there. Its another fact although sad and im sorry if its shocking to see it baldly written down, but medicine gets easier as any pet ages as thinking can go from ruling things out because of long term damage to being able to use these things because in the nearer term they help. I'm glad he's been able to get out to see his old lady friend, itsvthosevthings that will keep his life full of quality even if his adventures are less thrilling and mainly closer to home now.
Adorable creatures, please give him gentle hugs from me

It’s a good point Daisy. A sad but true point. I was busy at work today and at the end of the day apologised to WattyDog only to find he had been for a walk with VNM
I need to think about how to restructure my day so we definitely fit in some fun togetherMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Financial review. Premium Bond fund £15800. I’m so pleased about this one. Steadily it grows. More interest could be achieved elsewhere but there is always the chance of a win
i have enough to cover 6 months worth of bills and I now need to look for the best account for bill money. Next goal is to get this to house bills for a year (does not include horse costs)The barn conversion project continues. The architect has been paid and sent in drawings. The biodiversity report has been paid for. The bar survey is booked for the 7th May. Planning consultant still looking for someone to do an environmental report on a water treatment option so that still to be paid but I have the money put aside for that as is the bat survey. Then I can apply. 🤞🤞🤞
Am pleased with progress. Off to look for best place to put the bill’s savings now as currently earning a very lo %Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Was feeling anxious yesterday so financial review calmed that a little as I can see clearly I am on track for possibilities.
Then late yesterday and this morning I made a list of all the things that are causing me anxiety and started to think about what I could do, some require phone calls so I have targeted one phone call I will try and make today.
Also pinged an email to PA who has been off since Christmas as ill. Surprisingly she has been back at work for a week (she works for lots of people virtually). I said nicely that I really had needed some stuff done ASAP and if she was ill I would look for a temp virtual PA to take up the slack and almost immediately she tackled the most outstanding tasks admitting they had just "slipped". I didn't really expect her to tackle them during an evening but she is usually super efficient, and, has saved me money and tackling really outstanding stuff immediately made me think she had indeed just got really muddled having been so ill. So sent a thank you this morning.
Website chap has also sent me a video explaining how to do something (as I had sent over a question) but that makes me feel very anxious so am just leaving that on the list for now. I'd ask PA to do it but I really need to know how.
Some days I do wish I worked for others and could phone in sick - but - then I would not have had the ability to make the money I lost back so I suppose it is swings and roundabouts as it were.

Well done on getting the list done and starting to tackle it. Great that PA is back and did main task nice of you to send thank you but you are also paying her so do not fret. As for the IT stuff I agree it is scary but sometimes we make it worse than it actually is and by doing it yourself you will learn more and maybe not be so intimidated next time. Just something to think about. Take care and cuddles for WattyDog he does sound lovely.Moved to Denmark for FIRE by Aug 2025 “May your decisions reflect your hopes not your fears”

Good to hear WattyDog is feeling better!
Amazingly well done for starting to work on the 'anxiety list'. It's clear from the amount you have in PBs and the bills savings that you are winning on those counts, and now to have the strength to start to tackle the worries too... I take my hat off to you.
The IT will probably suddenly fall into place as these things do, but I sympathise in the meantime. I think it's very much like having another language: regular practice makes a big difference to how well we communicate. Maybe you do but does it have to be now? Let her do it just now then next time it needs done she can be there whilst you try following what the it chap has sent you. By that point if you feel better you are much more likely to take it in and if you start going wrong she is there ready to stop you before you go too far.
I was thinking of you earlier. Had an hour in the car waiting on mr d having an appointment and I was parked on a farm with at least 6 horses in my eyesight, farm smells and people going about the place doing horsey things. Very pleasant with my book, a hot flask and a cd on.

I was thinking this. Could you watch virtually while she does it and observe (share screen) then next time or when you are ready she could observe and guide you?daisy_1571 said:'I'd ask PA to do it but I really need to know how'

Have you watched the video? If not, watch the video, no pressure to understand or remember. Then come back to the video in a few days and make notes of what you need to ask.
