Love that
A lot of my horsey friends are saying we need to know if the year of the horse - means a chestnut mare (renowned for unpredictability and fire like bursts of temper or a bay gelding - calm and good natured as a rule.

Happy new year Watty, mental health recovery has been the top one for me for the last two years. I'm not very good at looking after myself I always put everyone else first. But I think we have to learn to help ourselves as we can't help anyone else if we're not right. What's helped me over the last few months (I'm not consistent which I need to be) is exercise, fresh air -even if I just stand on my patio for some, barely going on SM and reading more rather than screen time. I know it's different for everyone but I reckoned those things are pretty standard for most of us, although consistency is the key, which I keep losing 😁💖.Emergency Fund goal - £1000/2000

Indeed we should BaldybearBaldybear said:Delurking to say that saw also of year of the horse, shouldnt we lunge it first 🤣
We should also hope for minimal vets bills. Charming Cob needed vet for his asthma so waiting on the bill for that, but, it was not an emergency call out so calling that a win! My much loved muck boots need replacing but luckily found a bargain pair in the sales - on the plus side, the ponies won £25 on the premium bonds which has been reinvested.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Congrats to the ponies - though I'd question that under trades descriptions. Isn't a pony another term for a thousand pounds? You could be owed a bit (Watty snaffles the ponies' winnings).

Brantana have a sale on if you were interested in a spare pair of mucky warm boots. Very reasonable for the warm ones.
I thought pony was £25 (ton is £100, monkey is £500, grand is £1000) - it does sound as though it should be more significant. Americans sometimes use it for $50 but based on the original UK £25 when it was $2 to £1. ha! Would not touch any winnings if I allowed the Charming Cob anywhere near the fund he would blow the lot on the delicious flavoured treats he was gifted last year and that apparently Watty bought for Christmas and has now "lost"
I have a horrid feeling the treat bag went out with some rubbish during a bad spell before Christmas. I just need to forgive myself for that (and work on reducing clutter even more this year).
The drug induced sickness has begun to abate a bit. @Staffordia made a great suggestion which prompted me to remember the "sea bands" I have for travel sickness so I found those. They are elasticated wrist bands with a plastic bead that presses on an acupressure point in the wrist and they worked. The stomach distress still evident but no longer feel about to throw up. Haven't made it to a pharmacist (too much to go out) but I have noticed side effects lessening so hopefully will adjust soon.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
