Your day outside sounds wholesome and productive. I'm assuming you didn't have the rain that we had!

Tidying up pre-winter is a good idea. I hope the roof repairs are successful.

he can join in if he likes (inviting other people onto wattys thread- is that a terrible faux pas ?)  Generally speaking bikers are good souls (even if they sometimes look scary on the outside 😬 😳 😆 🤣 )

Yes, I am married to a good soul too. His "forever bike" is being looked at (again) for a recurring electrical issue making fuses go.
My sister used to have a Yam 175 enduro as her first and only bike. My parents gave her money to get her into a car instead after one of her buddies was killed on his.
    Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £10,020.92 out of £6000 after September
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £2234.63/£3000 or 74.49% of my annual spend so far (not going to be much of a Christmas at this rate as no spare after 9 months!

You've nudged me to pay my CC off! Mind you there are two payments still to clear so I'll have to do it again soon.

Well done on the cash back - that was worth doing.

Is your stair carpet still safe? I always get concerned when the edges start to age, in case anyone slips. So I'd suggest you prioritise safety, but if it's cosmetic, think how nice it would be to have a new carpet to admire when the Christmas decs come down. :)

I find the bike talk really interesting as I love the look and watch the bikers who take their bikes over the moors to the coast every summer, but I know nowt about them really.
