Well done dearest @Watty1 for dismantling all evidence of PPH from your life! You've got me humming 'I'm going to ŵash that man right out of my hair' now. Good news on Wattydog and CC too! Love Humdinger xx7

Good news on Wattydog and CC and the garden sounds like it's coming on a treat.Has PPH moved away from the area now, or have you found a way with dealing with the thoughts of coming across him? I recall how you were concerned last year about bumping into him in a variety of situations, but you don't mention it now which seems a huge step forward.Make £2025 in 2025

This year at the County Show there were people around me who where there to support FellPony and I knew he would not approach with them so it didn't bother me. There are two more events that are coming up. Whether I go is more about whether WattyDog is well enough rather than him.
WattyDog way more important
It does still bother me. I do still struggle with the disconnect between what I thought was real and what turned out to be the case, but time means less power over me.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

The progress with the garden sounds amazingly heartening. You're very effectively making it your own (and all paid for by your earnings).
I hope WattyDog has a good rest and all the critters (and you) do all right with the coming hot weather.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Big plans to turn an annexe into a holiday let. Then she found out he'd been having an affair for 3 years even before they moved, and that it was continuing. The new house had been bought partially with money left to her by her dad and sale proceeds from her busines. They weren't married. He rinsed her for a 50/50 share of the house sale. Moved in with the floosy, married her and have since split up. I don't know anymore details than that, but the word schadenfreude for me, comes to mind.

What a tale @Slinky It is where the law is so wrong for cohabiting couples. By getting her to put her money into the house he could take a share, if she had not done that she could have kept it. Cohabiting couples do come out of relationships so badly if one has put so much into the house, as I know to my cost. PPH has my retirement plan (sigh).
Still, hard work and I'm making it all over again. I'll be fine.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Amazingly the garden work is done. Two really nice men have cleared both patios and relayed all the paths and cleared the steps. The bed between the paths that I had replanted with cuttings and the odd gift has had sone kind of mulch added but very sweetly they have filled in the gaps with some pink salvia and another pretty flowering somethings. I hadn’t expected that (It wasn’t on my job list I gave them ).Really pleased I went for this work now. Still thinking I will move but this makes the house more attractive and whatever happens more traces of ex gone.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
