WattyDog no better but I've wedged open all the downstairs doors so he can come and go as he likes. I've had a good look and he is very lame but we are back at physio soon as I will ask them to assess and if necessary take him back to the vets. A life will lived and old age I think.
The sad thing for me is that for so long PPH used him against me and I did not get to enjoy him and now, well I love him. I sat and had a chat with him today and told him I was sorry it was such a mess for years.
He does not have a paddling pool and I nearly bought him one this weekend - but - as a young dog I did get him one. A special large dog one and he was uninterested in it. He adores water and swimming so I thought he would love it but no, he thought a little puddle in the garden was not worth the bother so I rehomed to the emu a few doors down. Remembering that, I didn't bother trying again!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Final push for course sales. My plan had been to promote September and write off June one as didn’t sell well. I understand why as school holidays etc but hurrah the person I pay to do emails wrote a string of 3 and enough have signed up so that
I can pay all the garden work and pop some into pension. So happy. The hard work to get here paid offI thought I might have to wait until September to get to this point. I’m really leaning that paying for help is worthwhileMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

On line shop done. Coupert (browser app thingy that I have no idea how I got but works automatically) found me a voucher for £24 that worked. What a saving.

Help needed please. I don't know what to do about my cleaner. I've taken to dusting and sometimes whizzing around the bathroom, so I have spoken to her about this and she just says there is a lot to do, ok, so I am accepting this.
Today I have just walked in and the downstairs smells strongly of bleach (the entire downstairs is tiled) The floor was wet - and - the VNM had quickly whizzed over it with a towel. It seems he spoke to her about the floor being so wet before she left and she just said she used a lot of bleach because it was dirty He opened all the doors and windows as he knew I'd hate the smell.
WattyDog had to be shut out and Feral Kitten shut in the office as I don't want that much bleach on paws and now I sit and think about it I (a) dont like the smell and (b) it is slightly sticky.
I feel guilty about this but I think I want to fire her. I know she needs the job but ?? I don't know what to do.

As I also loathe the smell of bleach and it makes me feel queasy I would ask her in the first instance to stop using bleach & then take it from there. You are paying for less stress and hassle, and for a service that you are not getting so I would stop using the service. 'Thank you but I will not need your services going forward' is sufficient, no explanations or justification. I would pay the final bill and not engage in a discussion about why. Not an employee, just a purchased service that is not delivering. I hope it wasn't bleach on wood or laminate, and that the smell goes soon. One of my cats loves the smell and licks the surfaces afterwards! My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I agree with redo. The whole point of having paid help is to lessen your workload and remove stress. That's not happening so time to find someone else who does what you need. XXXI Believe.....

I agree with all the comments and I would add, it sounds like she was keeping up when she first started but isn't now. Unless you've added a lot of stuff, why is she no longer getting it all done in the allotted time.

Wot @redofromstart said. You are not a bad person to not want to pay for a service that is making your life worse rather than better. She might even be secretly relieved4
