Bought the horses in and then found the the seeds I do have and scattered. Then added 4 small clumps of buttercups relocated from the field and then being very wet stopped. One of the paths has a some ox-eye daisies growing in it so before the paths are redone I will relocate those too.
Also hung 3 pictures in my bedroom then hung the lovely charity shop find mirror in the spare room and hung 3 pictures there. The transformation in adding the pictures is incredible. The room feels loved now. I have put the rest of the pictures in the loft for now. Tiny steps to getting back on with the house.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

It all sounds lovely... I think you've sold it to several of us already!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I have a start date for the garden. I am so excited. (It is a month away). Before then I want to get the garden furniture restored so plenty to be getting on with. The VNM has put in one of the new garden lights and I love that. There are two more to go.
WattyDog has been firmly spoken to about the lights. I'm not sure he has taken any notice though. These were on reflection a lightly mad purchase as they are ground level and glass but with luck WattyDog can avoid breaking them. Paws crossed.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Rode Charming Cob around the village, it should have been a circular ride but we came across one of the pigs and he refused to go past. Every bit of my experience says I should not allow him just to refuse to pass it, but, he hates that pig and, what the heck. We just turned around and came home the way we went. He makes me smile.
Rounded up some planters and put them on the yard. Mainly galvanised steel buckets as WattyDog has broken all the others running into them in pursuit of a ball. Some have hostas in that can be saved so will go out later and get some compost. Was ignoring these as the garden seemed beyond me but now I have a plan! I also need paint brushes for some painting that needs doing as all paint brushes have oddly vanished. Will do that towards end of day as need to spend few hours at my desk. Hopefully I can get them planted up and then keep them on the yard until the patio is finished and I can enjoy them there for the rest of the summer.
Still catching up after time off following operation so - back to work for me!

Galvanised planters are very on-trend Watty
As well as practical. Old water troughs/tin baths/water tanks etc also sell for a small fortune!

I do love hearing about your horses. I rode a bit as a child but never had my own pony. We had a lovely time at the Suffolk Show last week, amongst other things watching the heavy horses, and spent a fascinating hour watching a farriers competition where they were making and fitting hot shoes from scratch. We spoke with one of the competitors after the event and he said he had moved to Norfolk from Kent last year and said he was extremely happy to have made the moved. Much nicer people.Make £2025 in 2025

I'm fascinated by horses but a but nervous of their size. Love seeing them around though
Watty sorry, I was fiddling around yesterday looking for a specific property and sent you some links. The one I was looking for i finally found and I just love it so if lottery comes up tonight I might buy it(probably no need to worry overly as I don't think we have a ticket lol)

I did see it, and I can see why you are fascinated by it. It is lovely. I'm crossing my fingers for a win for you.
Not quite enough land for me. I'm looking around 5 to 6 acres! I would accept less but my ideal would be the 5 to 6 size. I'm excited about doing my garden but still planning to move. CC and I met a lot of traffic today, including when coming out of a T Junction, as I pulled out there was no car coming, as I turned into the new road there was a roar of a car, pursued by a volvo. Both were going way to fast. Luckily there was space for them to go round and CC is just so calm when that happens but if it had been MH he would have had a right panic attack.
I love living here, had lovely chats with neighbours while out and so on, but, it is too busy for me to live my best life!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

'he hates that pig' made me chuckle 🤣🤣.
I've started a wildflower patch. It looks a mess at the mo but I have lots popping up (hoping they're the seeds I put down rather than bindweed and elder anyway haha).

The area outside my greenhouse has fruit trees (only five) but we call that the orchard and have let the grass grow there for two years, with just paths through and an annual mow. Self heal has been one revelation. I was so used to seeing it flower around ground level, as tiny violet coloured flowers, but left to grow it is 30cm high and looks more like Stachys byzantina with a different colour-way. We won't dwell on the White Bryony that has taken hold though!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
