That's a great start to the day! You usual self is reasserting herselfI think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I have had a lazy day but still managed 3 lots of washing, dried and put away then as it is the first of June I checked over my goals that I started the year with.
Financially I am pleased with progress with extras into pension and an EF in progress. Also checked premium bonds and there is £14300 there, so the regular amounts (£150) and winnings have added up. This is the animals EF for vet bills. (It started at £5500 when I left PPH)
Thinking about what little step I could do today to boost finances I remembered I had two horse bits that I bought to try for CC and both can go back for a refund so packed those up and ready to go in morning and did an online shop as I had a 15% off voucher and I need stuff like washing powder etc.
Work is going well and I have some potential projects to explore. I'll start a journal page to note down ideas as I just don't have the energy for them right now.
Fun with the horses got a bit derailed with CC issues so I need to get back on board with that. I've allocated a journal page for some ideas.
House seems to have stalled but looking over goals spurred me to sort the pictures that are on the floor of the spare room and I will move them to the loft. I don't want to part with them just yet, I'm going to see what the new house is likeI also hemmed a curtain for the window on the stairs. Thrilled with how it looks, then hung the mirror from the charity shop and nailed a fun bee to a fence post as my tiny step to garden.
That just leaves my health goals. Recovering from op well so I'll call that a win but need to progress other issues. Have been lax on physio exercises and knee hurts again so I'm back to those,

That's a very productive lazy day! Great progress your finances, and all the other things too. If I had just hemmed some curtains, that would be a real achievement but I nearly missed yours in amongst all the rest! It's nice to have cosy touches like that, and the 'fun bee'.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

A very long day in the office as I've now returned back to work. Caught up with a lot of stuff and went to a meeting with that outfit I have resigned from as they are struggling with the lack of administrator, for no other reason than she was persuaded to stay to do a handover and now everyone realises what I was saying all along!
The board meeting is in 2 days so I agreed to rustle up an agenda and use my zoom account and send it over and said I will minute it - only because I want to play with an AI meeting note taker. Not sure which one yet. Need to explore but I thought it might be fun, good for the business and I can do it on their time (I've insisted I want paying)

Spreadsheet sent over from outgoing administrator. Opened it and there was no data. Fell about laughing and sent it to Chair and Company Sec with a note that simply said this is why I'm going, I've had years of this.
Lovely walk this morning around my fields with the VNM. I'm overrun with creeping buttercups and as an experiment 2 years ago I spread a lot of horse poop on half of one field. That half has virtually no buttercups so it seems soil fertility is an issue. VNM has a day off so he is going to run the mower over the buttercups in the other half and then we will close that field off and spread more horse muck. Sadly I do not have so much having paid the farmer to take the stuff away, and, losing a wall as a result - but - the three horses continue to generate it so as I would prefer to use rotted manure, in the absence of that we will try fresh. PPH left the mower behind for a good reason but I'm hoping it will keep going for this year at least.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Glad the empty spreadsheet evoked laughter and not gnashing of teeth - shows your metal detachment from it I think
The mower might be more fixable than you think - Mr KK and I bought a worn out ride on mower for our place from bay of e (we suddenly had almost an acre of grass to manage but were brassic after moving!) and between us we have managed to keep it going. (I helped repair holes in the grass collecting basket by patching in bits of greenhouse cooling sheet - sewing not being Mr KK's strength
- then Mr KK sprayed them black so they pretty much disappeared).

at the outgoing administrator sending an empty spreadsheet. You would have thought they'd have found some excuse.
I remember vaguely reading about farming in the old days: how the muck would pile up over winter and be carted onto the fields in spring. I don't know how long it takes to reach maturity, but perhaps a muck heap in the corner could break down and then be spread? But of course that gives the buttercups longer to get a hold.
@KajiKita, your solution is ingenious.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

its still the same in my area cherryfudge. We had about 30 tractor loads a day going through for a week, maybe more as they were passing every couple of minutes at times (and maybe it was longer than a week, can't rem now). Huuuuuuuuge piles of muck in some of the fields. Some of it is slumping down a little bit but its like a new hill has arrived in some of the fields

Glad you are recovering and feeling better every dayDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

The mower survived and I was told it was a good little mower. The buttercups are mown, the field is now shut off and muck spreading fresh muck can happen. This is a bit of a struggle taking this field out of rotation as the last few years have been so bad I really need the grazing, but, if I don't do something then the grazing will suffer in future years.
