I think building everywhere is just a fact of life but some lovely comments here. Thank you. I've no idea what the outcomes will be but on the principle of "if you don't ask you don't get" I will follow up.
Lovely day yesterday, cleared remaining shelves in one barn and a lot went out as rubbish plus a wheelbarrow full of stuff to be rehomed in main barn (trying to get more logical groupings so I can find things). Still have the drawers etc to go but pleased with that progress. Then did a lot of weeding.
Checked emails early and found a couple from administrator, oh my goodness I applaud my decision to leave. She couldn't write an agenda and wanted help, and, she couldn't find a document and wanted me to do that and finally one of the core guiding documents of the organisation she could not locate updated copy and suggested that was because she had never been asked to read it. I calmly responded, explained how to write an agenda, sent the documents but reminded her she had been part of the decision making process so did know about it, and, that she addressed filing before I left. I then ate two more slices of toast with pate and most of a bar of chocolateI will have so much time when this shambles is gone.
And might lose weight too

I am sitting here grinning at your toast, pate and chocolate - and now I quite fancy just the same despite not having a limp administrator to deal with!
She's a blame-shifter, and possibly starting to panic a bit as she realises she won't have you to lean on. Perhaps suggest a less demanding post for her talents before she causes chaos? At least you will be out of it, but make sure she doesn't shift blame onto you once you've gone.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Well done on challenging their lack of horse routes. And very well done on challenging the fact that your application was turned down! I hope it leads to something more positive for you 🤞

Ooh I am currently in the land of amazing pate!DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Pate is such a great way to eat organ meats - so healthy - but I don't really like liver until I realised good quality pate was a gift
No one has actually spoken to me about resignation nor have the spoken to Board bestie who is also going but the role has now been advertised. We chatted on WhatsApp and could not decide if this was rude or really funny!
Must dash, big event in London to attend where I will meet the chair of the board (I appointed him maybe 2 years ago) as he is the keynote speaker. Board bestie and I have bets on whether he will speak to me or avoid me. Will update tomorrow. . I am not really worried about administrator blaming me when I'm gone. I've done a good job and I've just sent some really good ideas to a linked organisation that they have asked to discuss over lunch (not for me to do, I'm handing them the ideas and explaining - I don't want the work but I think one could be a fun and profitable project - not financially profitable but kudos for organisation). If she blames me so be it, my world is changing. The changes started when I finally sorted things with PPH and I now am building the "financially fabulous" world that I live in.
My goodness I had to write the last line a bit to make sure it was in the present tense after what I have read on these threads about manifesting the world I want.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Administrator resigned to the chair in the early hours of yesterday morning. Whilst on train to industry day did a swift bit of whatsapp-ing and the "new" "to be" parent organisation has an administrator who would like a few extra hours a month. Said person approached me at the end of the event, and, as chair and company secretary were at the same event, she was appointed.
Seemed no one had read the email saying bestie and I had resigned. I have said I will stay and help smooth handover - it seems the ad I had seen was not for our roles but for the "extra" people the board needed that the administrator was supposed to have got up last year
I'm still going to resign but I realised just working with limp one was a huge problem for me.
In other news, whilst I was listening to the talks at conference the Fell Pony went out for a walk in his new boots and marched off leaving his person jogging to keep up. This morning we concluded that walking on the road hurts his feet, and the boots made a very big difference.
Off to prep next course session to deliver in a few hours. Realised yesterday how much I have grown since leaving PPH. Also for the second time this year, managed a whole day out without even the slightest sense of panic so mental health improving too.,Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

What a wonderfully positive post to read
Loving the mental image of FP in his boots, gambolling about!
At least there is light at the end of the tunnel with the resigning from the (industry body?) and if you are working with someone experienced and competent that should make it a lot easier.

Wow - a sort of 'blink and you've missed it' moment! I feel sad for the former administrator, it could be they were just lazy, but that won't improve if they don't face it. If they just weren't up to the job, I hope they find something they can cope with, without leaving others to pick up the pieces. However, the new person could make a massive difference and I hope they do - though again it's a bit of a concern that no one had read the resignations! I'm just imagining a meeting where neither of you showed up and someone rings to find out why...
Brilliant that you went all day without getting at all anxious (not even pate, toast and chocolate, and I'm still wanting pate on toast thanks to you). That is immensely freeing.
And as for Fell Pony's new boots -- the things they can't tell us needed your care and thoughtfulness to discover.

Could it be your life is rich with mostly important things that there is no room for anxiety anymore? It can be frustrating when your job involves relying on someone who isn't very good at their job for whatever reason. Many years ago I worked doing sales support and because I was experienced and knew what I was doing, I was always allocated the less able person in a team in another office, to handle the next process along from mine, because I was good at spotting mistakes. I had to keep getting things corrected from this one particular person who finally resigned and sent the most horrendous $hittagram to me, copying in my boss, as they left. Fortunately my boss just laughed and told me I was doing a good job.Make £2025 in 2025

I strongly suspect I too will be blamed for her departure but I was very open about why board best pal and I were leaving and I found out today that someone else on the board had quietly been asking for the same things as me.
I am reviewing the anxiety as I am getting better and stronger each day. That will do. Nearly through teaching the current course cycle, have had a few sign ups for June and checked to see how pension fund is performing and Trumpington falls recovering so all good.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
