It was probably also good for VNM to do something practical that was not funeral related.6

Yes it probably was good for him to concentrate on something practical and the work is fabulous. It makes me smile whenever I go in the hay barn so even if I didn't know it needed doing it is great.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I was up early and working as need some time off for the funeral planning later. Am also taking the Charming Cob out round the village once the fog has lifted as it is good for us both to be out enjoying life (well the Charming Cob would rather be eating but I'll tell him we are enjoying life and we will meet neighbours for a gossip I'm sure so he can munch the hedgerows while that happens).Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Whilst out with the Charming Cob a neighbour told me about a photographer that does Lavender Fields photoshoots so I came home and booked us one. That will be something to look forwards to in July. Fits with my something fun each month.
Celebrant for the funeral planning was excellent. I mostly sat quietly and made the tea as I'm not family but I admit I quite admired the old lady I was hearing about even if my experience of her was not quite so charming.
This morning supported VNM by going with him to register the death and then stopping for breakfast at the local community cafe.. He has now gone to deal with other matters like returning hospital bed and related equipment and do funeral related stuff and I should be working but my goodness I am exhausted. I think I could sleep the rest of the day away.

Hope you had a calm afternoon or even a snoozle
Bit odd hearing how someone and their whole life and everything they experienced and achieved and battled through and thought and felt and hoped for and tried for and resented and loved is going to be summed up in about ten minutes isn't it.
Definitely worthy of a processing emotions nap, or several7 -
You've had so much going on and are dealing with it with such grace. Well done.
Glad you and your horse are getting some time out and away.

I'm so pleased the celebrant is so good. That makes things just that much easier.
The lavender fields photoshoot sounds like the sort of thing to combine with a traditional high tea (scones, cream, delicate china) and a floaty dress. Enjoy!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Well done withe the constructive bullying when it was needed and sounds like you are striking the balance between support, help and space perfectly.
LOVING your goals and reviews. I am on a long haul plane Monday so planning to do my review then..
@Suffolk_lass that music is beautiful and poignant. I did like the YT comment that said 'if thats not played at my funeral I am not going 'DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
