Thanks all
The 2nd caravan is still sat teetering on the drive 😢 felt like we were getting some where but feeling positive this week has been hard. Feel like I'm stuck in the mud.
Nothing new made or finished6 -
I've been reading along and admiring the amazing things that are being made here but with nothing to post as I've been making a cardigan for myself amongst other things. I have finished a shawl though and here lies a story. My friend is going to upgrade my son's pc. The parts come to just over £100 and I offered to pay but my friend said no. I was working on the blue shawl at my friend's house and he offered me £100 for it as a present for his sister. I declined as his sister prefers red colours not blue but I did offer to make him a shawl for his sister in her preferred colours as a trade for ds's pc parts. Friend said "Oh, yes please". I bought three cakes of yarn for him to choose from (online, local shop doesn't have them) which cost £38 so I'm now making a shades of pink shawl with two cakes left over.
As far as I can tell I'm £60 up with two cakes of extra yarn that weren't in the annual plan but I was thinking that one can be made into a present for a friend and I'll make the other up as a raffle prize for a local charity. I've finished the cardi too but it needs pressing before I take a photo and in my defence the navy cardi was made from the current stash. . Here's the blue shawl - they can be worn as scarves if you keep the pointy and to the front and wrap the ends around your neck.....my sister and her best friend have them to wear that way (I made them both).

Hi, I've finished a Peruvian style hat from yarn in my stash. It's a smaller version of one I made as a Christmas present for my son. I had to guess at the size and substitute a smaller version of the pattern but it looks ok. I'll keep it for my 8 year old grandson. I always give all the grandkids a hat and gloves at the beginning of December.I've also to sew buttons on to a baby cardigan I've just finished - pics to follow. This afternoon I'm going to start a pink long cardigan for myself. It's in Debbie Bliss Aran yarn that I bought a few years ago when I was at the SEC Craft Show in Glasgow. It's that time of year again 😀. I've bought my ticket for the Craft Show on the 7th March and can't wait
Beautiful shawl @CRANKY40Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

plumduff55 - love the hat - is that Fair Isle knitting?
I needed another floor mat in my craft room. I only had enough of the grey fabric for this size mat but it does the job under my swivel sewing chair - stops me flying across the room - plus it just fits my rocking chair so bonus.
I have another mat to make but that is not happening yet - it was a nightmare to sew - I used a walking foot but there was 3 layers of fabric and wadding - I think the backing fabric is black out material - as long as it doesn't shift on the floor and is washable - it will do. Not a great make but usable and used stash. I bound the edge in fabric to match Mr F's cushions.

My Dgs came round the other day with a pair of his track suit bottoms - he had made a hole in them. Could I repair - it would be visible so he decided to have them made into shorts.
