I hope it's a really good sale, @Dakota_Rose ! Have you packed sun screen, snacks, flask, box of change, hats, anoraks etc?! I've never done one as a seller, but most of them seem to keep coming back to do it again!

Yes to all of the above! I’ve rarely done one as a buyer but weirdly enjoy selling at them. The early start is not appealing though. We’ve set the alarm extra early tomorrow as last year, we arrived at 7.15am and were the second to last car admitted. Those after us were turned away!

Well done on all the prep and the full car! The early start alone is enough to put me off, but you will have the afternoon to compensate for that.

Today was mostly plagued by rather low mood as the changes and the frustration of not being able to drive things forward is getting to me. However, I had a WhatsApp conversation with my counterpart last night and she's agreed to email the team about plans. I'd offered to do it but it comes better from her as she's the one taking the lead in that area.
I was on the tea and coffee rota with some members of the midweek group and that went fine. The couple with the new baby also brought in a big tote bag of containers including some we'd lent, so it was nice to have those again. One is already being reused for leftover chicken and chorizo pasta from this lunchtime.
We walked to church and this afternoon we went for a run - I think both of us are feeling the effects now! that was week 2 run 1 of C25K for me. I'm not sure how I'll fit in Tuesday's run as we are looking after the girls till five and I'm usually tired afterwards. The only thing that comes to mind is to try to fit in some stretches before I leave theirs and run most of the way home. That sounds rather a lot after eight and a half hours of child care! It's also the last week before DGD1 starts school 😢 but we will see her at the beginning and end of the day as we'll do drop off on a Tuesday.
I saw they have had another set of professional photos done as DS1 posted a real beauty on social media, but he also put some of his own on the family WhatsApp and DH showed me how much DGD1 resembles me! It's interesting that one of my grandchildren looks more like me than my own children do, but I'm told I looked like my Dad's mum when she was a young woman.
The only other thing today has been footing the ladder while DH tried to solve a problem with the gutters. There was debris but not enough to cause the overflow we had when it rained, and the downpipe isn't blocked. Possibly the delicate alignment of the guttering was disturbed by the roofers.
This evening I've emailed to pull out of the church cleaning team. I've not had anything to do there over the summer as 'my' area is still under scaffolding, and I dont yet know what my increased work hours will feel like from September. (I did see they are advertising for yet more assistants). I've also finally got round to replying to 🐙to agree to being added to the bill, meaning I don't have to pester DH to forward their emails and might perhaps be able to benefit from more of their offers.

Do you have the 🐙 app? It’s very simple to use and I often pop on the see the weekly offers and to monitor our usage. Far more in fact than I ever did before we had the app.

Plan for the coming week:
Monday - work pm
Tuesday - child care. Possibly meet with the Tuesday group, pm?
Wednesday - new broadband contract to start. DH is on a day off so I'm hoping he will handle this. The old system is on a precarious wire that barely enters the house so it's possible they may want to rewire. We are looking forward to incredible speeds from Wednesday on, but I suspect DH's computer is the source of his slow connection as mine has been fine. It's also my niece's birthday - gift has been sent but I'll try to remember to WhatsApp her. Working pm.
Thursday - I'm spending the day looking after DGD3 which means a train journey that I need to research.
Friday - work pm.
Saturday - probably car boot sale.
Sunday - church again.

I do, thanks, though I'm still finding my way around. It addresses me as DH, though, because I don't officially exist on the account till they action today's email! After this I'm hoping emails will come to me as well as him and I can take steps to get their free energy. 😊

A little bit of history made here this morning. 😉 The back story is that I'm a coffee drinker and a couple of people in my family often gave me ground coffee as gifts - but I was drinking either instant or cappuccino sachets so the ground coffee never got touched. DH also brought me back three large bags of coffee beans from a trip abroad many years ago - drawback being that I didn't even have a coffee mill. Eventually I asked for one for Christmas but the box was never opened - it was waiting its turn.
I had so much coffee that I passed some of the less out of date ones on, but there was still a shelf packed full. I asked people not to give me coffees till the backlog was gone!
At some point, possibly last summer, I discovered that two sachets of cappuccino was accounting for a quarter of my cholesterol intake each day (I'm on statins). The company also withdrew the product for a while then brought it back with one fewer sachet per box, and of course the price didn't go down to reflect that. I get that global coffee prices were probably fairly steep, but this just seemed deceptive, so I rebelled and cut back on the sachets.
Since then I've got myself a large cafetiere (single cup ones fill half of one of my cups) and have been working my way through the ground coffee - yesterday I finished the backlog! This morning I finally unpacked the coffee grinder and made my first cup from the bags DH bought years ago! Not bad… most of the bags are still sealed so I'm hoping they are all drinkable as this one seems to be.
I actually did a search back through my photos and found a picture of all the coffee. It was taken in July 2015 and obviously some of that is long since finished, and other coffees, mostly sachets or instant, have been and gone in the interim. I buy new for visitors! The three bags of beans are clearly visible…
So it all goes to show that a little persistence eventually wears away the mountain. It also shows that some of us go to extremes to avoid waste!

Your 🐙 adventure has triggered a thought for me - I should get added to our phone/internet account - everything house related is in my name now but that one bill is a hang over from the days when all the bills were in OH's name! when we moved to this house, we just transferred it over.

They were very easy to deal with but obviously it will have to mediated by your DH - an email or phone call should do it (I'm giving the chap a few hours as it's Monday morning and he'll have work built up over the weekend!)
I read recently about how difficult it is to get into old email accounts which may be the backup for passwords etc, so that may be worth a check, too. Goodness knows what the passwords were for my old laptop that's still in the loft!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
