I hope you are feeling ok today.
Great book choices, I have read all of those. Clearly you need to read them just to make sure all the words are there.I used to work in one of that type of SH bookshop in my 'drop out years' and one of the joys of the job was the happiness people got from finding treasures.

I love the sound of the restaurant. Good food from Algeria would have a great deal to commend it :) And the coffee - yum! As for Ballet Shoes, I read that so many times as a child I am certain it will be enjoyed many times.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2 -
Thank you one and all - the good wishes are much appreciated! I think I got away with it lightly.
Lovely to have other fans of 'Ballet Shoes' - this is a modern hardback edition with a good picture on the cover and the original illustrations in very clean condition. What more could we want? DGD1 does gymnastics, not ballet, but is fixated by videos of child ballerinas so I think it will go down well in a few years.
@redofromstart , what a perfect job you had! My MiL also worked in a bookshop but the only thing I remember about that was that a customer once asked 'Can I get through this wall into the shop next door?' I've never known what that was all about!

It's really time I got going and did something more than electronic games. At least I've done some Duolingo: for some reason I've landed with a less competitive bunch of people so am still in the Diamond League, which is where you get if you are awake enough, persistent enough and don't have amazing competitors. I really can't say I've earned it this time. I've been here in the past and really had to work for it.
So, the plans for today are some self care - face, hair and nails - and a 'run'. I'm just at the end of the first week of C25K so by 'run' I mean a few 60-second bursts of slow jogging interspersed with 90 seconds of brisk walking. Please don't imagine me bounding across the countryside just yet! I do feel the benefits already. It's as though my running body woke up and said 'Oh, there you are! What took you so long? Let's go!'
There is a lot needing to be done around the house so I'll let you know how that goes but priority is going to be the above and tidying up the kitchen surfaces.

I’m glad you’re none the worse for wear after your trip. The state of pavements is shocking at the moment. I’ve tripped quite a few times in the city centre and managed to right myself before I fell although have ended up flat on my face a couple of times.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪1 -
Well done with C25K! - I did M/Tu/W of physio exercises - but decided to have a rest day yesterday! I'm determined to do them today, but will start earlier evening and perhaps have a bit of rest between each one. My body is not feeling the same as yours though, it's saying OMG - what do you think you are doing? 🤪
