You can use tomato ketchup instead of tomato puree, if you keep this in.

My mr t has only had the very expensive tomato puree in for almost a year.  I suspect they are doing what M&S always used to do & what all supermarkets have been doing to milk for years & pushing their buy prices down (& their sell prices up).

Our local Mr T had empty shelves where the own brand chickpeas, butter beans, etc should be. No issue at all in Lidl so must be a Mr T supplier problem.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

I never thought of that! I don't think I have any though.badmemory said:

There was a choice of two more expensive lots of puree, and a gap where the own brand would have been.

Ours was very similar. I would normally gone over the way to L1dl but I just needed to have a sit down by then.

So the dinner had two tins of cheap baked beans and one of chickpeas, dried chillis instead of fresh, no tomato puree... DH says he thinks he might prefer it this way. :D

These pinking shears have a much better action than my inherited pair but almost zero cutting edge. I tried YouTubing the sharpening but the most professional looking explanation had a poor quality video full of technical terminology so I've given up for now.

One more payment made: £6 to the window cleaner.

I'm having  very ADHD day today, can't settle as I know I need to sort out my work timesheets (two still to send in - they will think I don't want to be paid!) and the rest of the larder. I'm also conscious of DH having so much time off, which means I won't get the quiet downtime I usually use to rebalance activity. I tried to pay off my credit card and something or other shut down on me - possibly the app timed out as it did warn me I only had five minutes from the start of setting up payments directly from my bank. Five minutes isn't long enough when you have to put codes in on the phone, check current passwords (usually goes through facial recognition so I don't deal with them a lot), find the gadget to authenticate via debit card and yet another two codes... if it hasn't gone through later, I'll revert to paying off using my debit card which is tried and tested.

I'm far too jittery: eaten three pieces of fudge for activity/sensory counterbalancing and it's hardly touched the sides. Usually after one I feel a bit queasy (despite my user name) so I imagine I'm burning through the sugar. Could be useful in dealing with the few pounds that have sneaked back on!

I went to get dressed this morning and thought I could smell slight damp on an item from a wardrobe that's not been used in the last few weeks, so there's a load in the machine now so I will have a dress to wear for a wedding on Saturday, and some different tops.

I've made a start on the timesheets by writing out a chart of days I need to know and filling in the ones I didn't work.

DH has cleaned the bathroom, made dinner (leftovers but he did the heating up and cooked the rice) and now gone on a jaunt to an auction viewing. I was invited but declined so I could get down to this.

Right, the head is slightly less like a room full of pixies, I will hand the washing out and tackle the next bit of the time sheets.

Oh, and the course is on tonight. That's stressing me: the first session was excellent. The next was too loud, though I was right at the back and they turned the mic down when I asked. There's also a lot of background work needed, which is fair enough but I'd have liked to have been made aware of it beforehand.

Writing it all out above helped settle me down: I need to remember that though it took a while to get myself to that point.

I can't get back into the banking app to pay the credit card as the site is under maintenance, but the good news is the two timesheets are submitted. It took a good part of the day and the larder didn't get a look in.

DH brought the washing in so it's hanging around to get dry, and I had quite a good session at the evening course.

To sharpen regular scissors many places recommend cutting aluminum foil or sandpaper. I don't know if it would work on pinking shears, but it should.

I used to love using my mums pinking shears, so satisfying.

I can't stand metal on metal noise so I will have to find a way of sharpening everything without noise. I found that the local 'repair cafe' does sharpening so that may be worth a look?

Thank you both. :) I'm not sure when the repair café is on here: I'd volunteered for it but it's been located in a place I avoid as I associate it with a person who assaulted me - so sadly, it's a 'no' for that one. I'm investigating the sandpaper: could be a cheap and easy solution.

Credit card paid off by debit card: it looks as though the faff yesterday timed out so the ability to give an order straight to the bank isn't going to happen. Then I noticed a pending payment for the automatic order for loo rolls and kitchen paper. I think we still have a good part of the last order in the loft and I must have missed the reminder email when I was sick, so we will be well-stocked for a while! It's set to repeat in six months and the site isn't yet allowing me to set that date further in the future, so it's one to remember over the summer.

It's started raining here and I have no excuse but to finish the larder. DH is doing his volunteering this morning so I have no excuse! And it will be good to get the job out of the way.

Brrr, it's been bracing today! We had alternating sleet showers and bright sun, but really parky outside. Nevertheless I stuffed the remaining 10p tulip bulbs in a pot before they go manky. There are a few 'Carnaval de Rio which are apparently extra large, and some double early mixed which look to be various colours.

I made progress on the larder at long last. The top shelf is cleaned and refilled, the walls washed down and some holes filled in the plaster, though I couldn't reach right to the top and will need to ask DH for help. We can only do anything like this while the fridge freezer is out, but it so needs to go back!

In the afternoon we went to get our free hot drinks from the garden centre, which would have cost £6.25, i.e. over half the cost of the annual membership that grants them. So one on the second month of this year's membership (running from March), it will have paid for itself. We also spotted a friend of mine, and had a look at the plug plants, but didn't buy anything. I forgot to take the empty compost bag and a broken pot to their recycling but they can go next week. We did get a free bag of used coffee grounds for the compost, so all in all very MS and I've not spent anything today.

Three hours at work this evening, and confirmation that both timesheets were accurate. I'm tired and can't really explain it, though I've been waking before seven which is unlike me.
