Today was supposed to be toddler club followed by prep for the Sunday morning session but it took a dramatic turn away from that as I had what felt like a TIA and got myself to the urgent care department within about fifteen-twenty minutes and was triaged almost straight away. Long story and various medical checks later, the person in charge of me says she doesn't think it was a TIA and it was so transient (probably less than 2 seconds) that unless there's a recurrence we may never know for sure. I felt back to normal almost at once. The side of my face that felt as if it wasn't responding started again in a couple of seconds but I found out later from the person in charge at Toddler Group and from DH that I'd gone a funny colour, so I probably wasn't imagining it. Two of the nurses mentioned it could be viral, and as I feel the virus of about three weeks ago hasn't quite gone, that may be the reason.
I have an appointment with a TIA clinic in a big teaching hospital in another town on Monday and have an increased dose of aspirin, so they aren't taking chances.
So I had several hours of hanging about in hospital (I got a bed but didn't use it). DH kindly took me there - I'm glad he had today off - and came back later with some books and phone charger, but I've had to top up my data, and got eye strain, so I left with a headache I'd not gone in with.
I bought a sandwich for a very late lunch and met up with DH who was at church for his slot on the cleaning rota. There were a whole lot of people there, as we'd forgotten the Thursday afternoon meeting, and some of them wanted to know how I was as I'd given permission for it to be shared, then others cottoned on something had happened. A friend who was a nurse told me her husband had one a couple of years ago and nothing since, which is reassuring.
I got permission to go to work this evening, and that was fine. I'd been a bit concerned as I was tired by then, but in fact it was a quiet shift and DH gave me lifts both ways.
So there has been a bit of spending on food, and I treated myself to a notebook as it was on sale and I will need another for my course (and I liked it).
I feel okay now and apparently my colour is good, both of which are reassuring. The planning for Sunday will just have to happen tomorrow and Saturday night: they were starting to set up for the wedding as we left the church so that will take a lot of Saturday.

Oh goodness me Cherry that must’ve been frightening for you. I’m glad you’re ok and are being checked over properly. Perhaps it’s a sign you should slow down for a bit, you’re always very busy and you’ve recently been unwell, maybe your body needs a rest and some TLC.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Too true, SA. I suppose I've been pushing myself for a while without as many days fully free as would be good for me. Funnily I've woken after four hours' sleep feeling 'myself again' but a bit hungry so I've come down for a snack then I'll try to sleep again... apart from the moon is visible and there is a partial eclipse just starting, so I'll get another couple of photos before I hit the sack again!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. That must have been such a worry for you and your DH. Perhaps your body telling you to have a rest? I hope you got back to sleep.
I did go out and look to see if I could see the eclipse (thanks furry alarm clocks) but it was cloudy here.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Thanks @Sun_Addict, @redofromstart and @in_need_of_direction. I did get back to sleep with only a couple of photos taken: the clouds came in from the west so I wasn't tempted to stay up.
DH is at work till lunchtime then has a couple of weeks off to use up annual leave. I was talking to a member of staff from a different department yesterday (it turns out their department has its troubles too, but this person is a delight to talk to and the time talking helped me relax which gave me energy for the shift ahead, which in turn was a lot quieter than recently). Anyway DH tells me they worked in the same department long ago, and the person also knows A, though I've not worked out how. Small town connections, huh?
Nothing set to be done this morning, and this afternoon there's another shift at work. It's nice and sunny at present but perhaps a bit cold for gardening.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

You're right @rtandon27, I think having proper rests between activities makes a big difference. I had a snooze before work but once again three hours of not being frantically busy so I don't feel overtired. DH is still coughing... but not as badly by a long way.
I've paid the green bin for the year (till December), but nothing else today. I also mended a hem on DH's suit trousers and am undecided what to wear tomorrow. It's between two dresses but I'm not going to attempt a decision tonight.
We also wrestled the freezer back into the larder so we have a proper lounge again and thankfully we managed the manoeuvre without damaging the new lino. I also turned some lemons into lemon curd which always seems to take a lot of ingredients for a small return, but it's so nice.
And A has reminded me we have a restaurant voucher to use in the near future.

I woke early again this morning, but that actually worked out well as I wasn't too shattered and we were ready in good time for the wedding (I wore my dark teal dress). It was truly a lovely ceremony and the church was packed. Also everyone sang, which doesn't always happen!
The sun was shining for them, though it was cold out.
It was local so DH and I walked there and back rather than try to park, so I've had my exercise for the day. We had canapes and cake after the service, so rather a lot of calories which meant we didn't bother with lunch. I did fall asleep again once we got home, which I thought was a bit excessive, but then remembered I'd been up early so it wasn't entirely occasioned by whatever happened on Thursday.
In the evening we had a short stroll into town to book a table to use our restaurant voucher. We've opted for a lunch as I'm working most evenings and DH is away towards the end of the week but on annual leave the whole time. We called into L!dl on the way home for the free sticky bun, which didn't come out free as we spent £5.42 that we wouldn't have spent had we not been bargain hunting.
This evening I've pulled together most of the kids' activity for tomorrow though I feel it still needs some elusive something. I texted the team to fill them in so I'm hoping they can do some of the work. If I feel as tired as I have today, they will need to! However, I'm generally okay when I don't stop to think about it, and I can always rest in the afternoon. In fact, when I'm awake I feel more alert than I have in a while as though something's cleared, but then my body tells me I need to sleep and nothing else is going to happen.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. I don't think there's much to report today. I woke up reasonably early and found the heating had switched on and was set at 16 despite both of us checking it was lower last night. Ah well. I doubt it had been on long.
I did the children's session this morning and I think it went okay. I did explain to one of the helpers that I'd been unwell and if I didn't feel up to continuing, to take my notes and carry on with the session. He was very sweet and checked in with me a few times but apart from a slight weariness, it actually all went well.
We finished the chickpea tikka for dinner (we needed space in the fridge) and had a mince pie and custard each afterwards! Then later in the day I wanted a snack and remembered there were flavoured nuts left unopened from Christmas, so I had some of those. It's amazing how far Christmas food goes!
In the afternoon DH had a walk and I slept, but I don't feel I needed as much as yesterday, so hopefully I'm getting better. DH has been persuaded by his pharmacist friend to start using his inhaler again: he uses it about once every three years so it's a wonder he had one in date, but it's possible the persistent cough is mild asthma despite having been started by the virus.
Nothing spent, and I've made the tiniest start on rotas for Sunday mornings. Only the tiniest, as I foresee difficulties. I've achieved slight inroads into the mess around the computer, though, so some gains have been made.
ETA: I had a look at our new water and Council Tax bills. Big jump in CT especially, to £194 over 10 months. Water will be £68.70. We're not on a meter but having baths every night, I think we might not feel the benefit of one. I think I could skip a night or have a shower, but I don't see DH doing the same except for showers in hot weather.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
