Despite all this extravagance I have had a bit of an epiphany. I heard Patrick Grant (he of the Sewing Bee) on the radio yesterday, while in a charity shop!! He was talking about how we all have too much stuff that we don't wear . DH and I spent a bit of time this morning editing his wardrobe and adding it to my donation pile. I then went back through my own wardrobe and weeded out all my shirts as I think they look lovely in the shop but actually I prefer tee shirt styles so the shirts just sit there unworn. So we took tons to the hospice shop and actually while I’ve been out for a walk this afternoon I’ve thought of lots more items that can go. And I do actually need to spend less time in the CS.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

There is/was a person on here who's signature said "All that clutter used to be money" and I love that.
I had a scoot round my fave cs yesterday and found this. No it wasn't needed but I love the colour (it's a richer blue in real life) and the shape of it means my hands hug it perfectly, And it was only £1It feels very silky and matt. I don't know whether to give it a vinegary wash to get the limescale off, or leave it in case that'd kill the finish on it....?I'm unsure about my spine, I think it's holding me back.9 -
That's a saying we ought to see more of, @YoungBlueEyes.
Love the mug, I thought 'Denby'? before I'd scrolled down to your second picture. It should be vinegar-proof: Denby told me that even their Homestead pieces are dishwasher-safe, those these predate domestic dishwashers, so I'd imagine the glaze is pretty tough. I wonder how it managed to get limescale there, though? Very odd.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

I don't know how it got the limescale there, presumably someone in a hard water area that never dried it properly? I might gently rub the scaled parts over with a vinegar soaked cotton bud. I could live with the tiny bit of scale if meant not ruining the finish
I'll try it later and report back.
Yep it's a good saying eh. I wish I could remember whose signature it was because I'd name-check them. A little voice in my head sometimes says it when I go into a cs as well. All this clutter used to be money.I'm unsure about my spine, I think it's holding me back.7 -

Must take a trip in that direction myself!
A quick detour into a local chazzer earlier yielded this for £1.50, to go with my other executive toys:Currently retailing for £6.87 on Amazon. No man is worth crawling on this earth.

It's raining again here and although I walked over to the Age UK shop this afternoon between downpours I got there just after they'd shut the shop early so had to turn around and go home. I'm weaning myself off my stick and suspect I look a trifle Lurch-like as I doggedly stomp along so this was supposed to be an incentive to go for a walk! Could someone kindly ask the powers-that-be to turn off the taps please? Maybe I'll have better luck tomorrow.7 -
Made it to the Age UK shop this lunchtime dodging today's errant drops and found a cd/radio for the kitchen, £8.99, which I'd been keeping an eye out for as well as a very nice Accessorize black polyurethane that feels like leather bag, £6.99, and a Campion novel, £1.99.
