Have to say I really enjoyed the glass of wine - I actually chose white for a change. As you know I generally choose red. I haven't really had much to drink at all since we got back from holiday which is why I'm finding it so frustrating not being able to get back into target range. It's got to the stage I'm not even sure whether to go back to group at the moment as it's not actually that long until we go on holiday again! We've got a month booked from mid April to mid May and then another month a couple of weeks later from towards the end of May until nearly the end of June. Just thinking I may just have a break from it for now and see how I feel later but no decision finally made at the moment! You're right @maman about freeing up syns but the trouble is I'm now eating junk which I never used to like Skinny Crunch bars and eating choc covered ice cream lollies! Think I was doing better with wine and spirits!
DH got a call from the hospital this morning asking him if he'd be available to have his first cataract surgery next week so he's getting that done next Tuesday morning. They did offer him Monday afternoon but he said a morning appointment would be better as I absolutely hate driving in the dark! and of course I'm going to have to drive him home after.

@maman thank you for the meatball recipe, out of cous cous so added it for delivery tomorrow, plus more turkey mince.
STS at WI this evening midway in range, I would really like to drop a little for next week, but it has been quite hard this week. OH will be away for a blokes weekend with family members, I would normally be having lots of little treats, but need a game plan to choose some some SW suitable ones.
@bubbs keeping everything crossed that the next few days will be better than anticipated.
@joedenise I hope that things will fall into place for you this week.

@joedenise, that has also been a problem for me. Before when I kept all my syns for drink there was no leeway for anything other then free food - stopped drinking, 15 syns going begging, and Im eating them and its triggering the want to snack on crap, or rather the stuff that got me into SW in the first placeGood news on hubbies op being doneSo last night my syns and more went on drink which was ok cos I had planned for it. Well tbh I drank more then I had planned for, but I had a real crap day in work and had decided before I had even left I was going all out, and I did, and I felt like crap this morning waking up at 5am with a mouth like the bottom of a budgies cage !!! Serves me rightToday is a new day - and guess what? Its chucking it down
Means another horrible day in work
Still at least I know in advance and can work on getting into a better frame of mind before I get there. The new supervisor is on today and will be in charge so a different vibe for sure. Could be a fun day or it could be stressful - will have to wait to seeBrunch as normal and Im going to do something like a casserole with the chickenI was good re the picking yesterday, grabbed a cup of soup but I did succumb to half a bun . Im too scared to jump on the scales this week, Ive really got to pull it together these next couple of days0 -

Well done on your STS @maddiemay. You're staying in touch with your group (and us🤗) and you'll get there.👍🏼
You've got the right idea too @MrsPorridge. There's nothing you can do about the toast and honey now (hope you enjoyed it😁) but get back on track today.
I find planning when I intend to drink really helpful @Longwalker. I think it's all about being in control. For me it's usually weekends. It's the s*d it days that can do the damage. Get you, having a drink just to to use up syns @joedenise!🤣
Glad to hear you're still safe @bubbs. This rain seems endless.
