Morning all, it's another bright sunny day and the forecast has changed yet again and it looks as though we're unlikely to get any rain during daylight hours so decided to get another load of washing done - didn't think there would be enough but there is but it probably helps that I've put DH's heavy jumper in with everything else! Will be getting that onto the line shortly for a bit of a blow.
@beanielou - would today be a good time to start a new thread as we're now 1/4 way through the year?
I definitely enjoyed my red wine yesterday @maman! DD1 and her partner came over in the afternoon so it was good to see them. Don't see her partner very often as he's often working weekends which is when DD1 tends to come over.
Hope you're feeling a bit better @bubbs and had a better night's sleep.
I did my menu plan on Friday and have already needed to change the planned lunch for today! Was going to make a spicy carrot and lentil soup but didn't remember to buy any more carrots and I used the last I had yesterday for roasting!
So today's changed plan is:
B - bacon and mushroom sandwich
L - jacket potato, beans, cheese, mixed leaves, pickles
D - pork shoulder steaks, mash, veg
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - LF spread 2

Morning all,
I was hoping to get a long walk in today but OH is still in bed and don't fancy going by myself, though after the rain we've had I think it'll be pretty boggy.
Food plan for today:
B: Blueberry baked oats (2)
L: Chicken salad, apple, muller light yoghurt (1/2)Roast beef, Hassleback potatoes and veg - bisto and horseradish not sure on syns?
I do need to nip out and get some veg and fruit, our nearest Tesco has been a bit poor on their supplies the last couple of weeks.
I have another week off work which is quite busy, plenty of work to do in the house and garden (weather dependent). Planning on going to a driving range this week, not sure what that's like for body magic? Also have my first cricket match of the season.

What about 'Be Beach Body Ready with Slimming World'. I agree it's a good time to start a new thread if you'd do the honours @beanielou. 😊
Plenty of carrots here from veg wars @joedenise. I'll send you some! 🤣
Well done for keeping up with the cricket @annabanana82. Someone was saying about losing weight but still feeling flabby. While I know that you can lose weight without exercise, I really think it helps with toning and mental health if you can . 🤔
Bisto is half or 1 syn per tsp depending on whether it's basic or Best version and horseradish varies between 1 and 2.5 per tbsp depending on the brand.
DH managed to spill baked beans on his dressing gown so an unexpected load of washing this morning.
Today's plan -
B- HEB toast, eggs, bacon (P), baked beans (F), HEA 1 milk for drinks
L- ham (P), LO veg and pickles (F, S)
D- meatballs in tomato sauce (P, F, S), spaghetti (F), HEA 2 Parmesan
Syns - tbc

Thanks @maman the cricket has been really good for helping with fitness and toning, my chest area especially has surprised me as I thought losing weight may age a certain part of me more however its been quite the opposite.
I've always thought exercise and diet need to go hand in hand for the best results

On the subject of veg wars I nipped into Asda this morning and they had crates of carrots, broccoli and swede all for free. I got one of each as it would have been rude not to!
Planning a quiet dinner with loads of veg/salad. Might even make a smoothie as I got a bag of watercress and something (baby spinach maybe) as well as a big bag of salad and a couple of big lettuces all for pennies.
Smoothie will help me get rid of it plus grapes. So much YS fruit and veg today so I need to start using it up. Have a box of mushrooms too that will be on the turn soon. So I think dinner will be speed, speed, speed! Plus a sachet of my usual couscous and feta or maybe an omelette. Will add a bit of cheese in for a hexa.
Hexb will still be split between sugar puffs and a high fibre bar.
Have a good day everyone. Nice weather here and itching to get out for a walk before the rains come but I'm on call so stuck inside as the phones are playing up and I can't risk being out for long.0 -
Misread my menu plan! The pork shoulder steaks are for tomorrow night so are in the fridge defrosting. Tonight I'm using up the last of the smoked salmon to make a risotto.0
