Badger09 I hadn't even remembered I had set up the transfer, only that I'd opened the new account!!
I wouldn't have bothered with a message and phone call had I realised. I blame Covid!  I've been off work all week and slept for the most of the first 36 hrs, then when I start to feel a bit better, find I have a bit more time on my hands to go online,  I've clearly forgotten what I've been doing for the last month. Apologies to anyone reading my nonsense this week.

No need to apologise  I was just curious why you felt the need to contact VM again.
Nothing to do with Covid, but I find I have to make a note of almost everything these days. If I rely solely on my memory, it invariably lets me down😊

I'm catching up as I was absent earlier in the week. I haven't had an email as such about issue 4 maturing but did get a reply to my secure message with a number to call. Not done anything yet. It seems that this dedicated form link a few posts above is only if adding extra funds and I wont be doing that. Am I understanding this correctly?
BIB There’s no suggestion of this in the email. It seems to be purely to tell VM that you want to xfer the matured issue 4 funds into whatever FR exclusive ISA is on sale @ 31/1/24.
Some of us have already opened FR exclusive issue 10 & completed the postal xfer form. We don’t want to confuse VM by completing the link form.
It’s also possible that VM might withdraw Issue 10 before 31/1 & replace it with a lower rate issue. That could open up another can of worms.
It shouldn't make any difference: You can secure the Iss10 now; it remains available for transfers/funding until 30 days after it goes off sale - well past the 31/01.

Yes I’m very well aware of that.
You’d have to read back through my interactions with gele to understand why I made the post you’ve just quoted. TBH Life’s too short & your time is far better spent on your excellent No Chat Thread😇

For those interested in the outcome of my VM complaint.

Recap: Iss4 1 yr FT (4.25%) requested transfer (on 20/12) at maturity (Jan 31) to Issue 7 (5.85%), legitimately c.70 days after it went 'off sale' (Nov 23rd IIRC). See here for more detail if required and the follow on posts

But VM did the transfer December 23rd instead and deducted an early closure penalty.

It's taken VM 3 weeks to reimburse the penalty, (Jan2 when I first contacted them on the issue) which they did it today and back dated it a few days.

So I got my maturing Iss4 into Iss7 c 40 days early on the original sum (inc interest on the principal less £210 penalty) plus 12 days early on the £210 penalty reimbursal.

I've had no communication (3 broken CS telephone promises) but I'm expecting a resolution letter that I'll bet they'll say, 'That should be that'.

    I'll argue, of course..

My FRISA 4 has matured into an easy access ISA. I did request it to be moved to the FRISA10 after I opened the FRISA10 and it was confirmed by telephone it would be transferred. Anyway, I transferred £1 to issue 10, all went OK. I then tried transferrng the balance and it said it would take me over the ISA limit! I have sent them a secure message. Hopefully they will get around to transferring it as an ISA transfer. Presumably the manual transfer does not go as an ISA transfer then. Luckily I did not try a large, but under £20K amount. If it has gone outside of an ISA transfer I will now be £1 over this years allowance.

I requested a transfer of Fixed ISA4 to Fixed ISA10 on 18th January ready for maturity yesterday. My wife did the same. We both received 3 or 4 texts over the next few days confirming our instructions had been received. Yesterday we both noticed new Flexi ISAs had appeared instead, but no interest was added. Today the interest has been added. I got into live chat and spoke to a person, but they were no use and just said we should phone the ISA team. Can anybody confirm that this is just VMs convoluted way of doing things, or have they messed up?

My matured FR4 ISA is also now in a Flexi ISA with interest added.
I posted my xfer request (to FR ISA10) on 27 December. No acknowledgement received but I don’t know if that’s normal. I’ll give them a call tomorrow if it isn’t moved by then.

Just received a text saying the transfer is complete. I have logged on and seen it is all in issue 10 now and the FLEX ISA has disappeared. My manual transfer of £1 as well as the automatic transfer are both showing in issue 10 as transfers.

The interest was shown as being paid in the Flexi ISA earlier this morning, but I did not save a statement. Now the Flexi ISA has disappeared I cannot see a statement of interest added. Is there a way of viewing old (less than one day old) accounts?
