The Virgin Exclusive FR ISA 4 is maturing at end of Jan 24.
If i was going to transfer it to the Virgin Exclusive Issue 10 (5.25%), can this be set up online at account opening before the FR ISA4 matures?
Or can it only be done by paper form?

I've opened a 1 Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA Exclusive Issue 9 at 5.5% 2 weeks ago. In order to transfer an older maturing Virgin ISA on their legacy platform it was a paper form. That's in the post and for issue 9 there were 30 days to transfer in. If your accounts are both on the same (new, Clydesdale?) platform I think you should be able to do on line. @Aidanmc Yes it can be done as part of new ISA opening process.I opened the VM 1 Year FRISA Exclusive issue 10 on 27/12 & requested xfer of VM FRISA which matured 24/12 (yes, I realise I wasted a few days😊). Xfer completed 28/12.I also wanted to arrange xfer in of VM FRISA Exclusive issue 4 which matures 31/1/24. I had to complete and post a form to do that😏1

I also have a Virgin Exclusive FR ISA 4 maturing on 31st January 2024 and hope to transfer it. But the 1 Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA Exclusive Issue 10 terms
"You can pay money into your ISA as soon as it's opened, right up until 30 days after we stop selling this account. After that you can't pay in any more money."
Is there any point opening it before the 30 day window? If they close it before 1st then the FR ISA 4 will mature after the 30 days.0 -
Is it now within the 30 day window? The terms state "You can pay money into your ISA as soon as it’s opened, right up until 30 days after we stop selling this account." The FR ISA 10 is available today. If they withdrew it tomorrow 30 days from the day of withdrawal would be 31st.
Does it matter exactly what you enter for transfer amount on the application? I do not have an exact figure until the interest is paid.0 -

That shouldn't matter if you select to transfer full balance. Can you do it online or are you posting the form?

I started the online application for the FR ISA 10. I selected transfer from this bank (Virgin Money) but it also had a box for the amount to transfer. After that it just had a declaration and Submit button. There was no page for entering the existing ISA details that I want to transfer. I abandoned the application.
I have sent a secure message requesting at maturity, can you transfer my Exclusive Fixed ISA4 to a new 1 Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA Exclusive Issue 10 (rate 5.25%) please.
I don't want to miss out on the FR ISA 10 if they withdraw it, their ISA help line is closed untiil 2nd so I cannot ask them.0 -
Just applied for Issue 10. After opening the account, the option came up to transfer an isa now. After filling in the details for the isa I want to transfer in (Issue4), I had to tick a box to confirm that the maturity date of that ISA is within 6 weeks (31 Jan so all fine). All seems to have been accepted, so even if they withdraw the account when life restarts on 2 Jan, all should be well.
I want to transfer the full balance, but had to give an estimate of the amount. Still shows as ‘full balance transfer’ in summary info though.Hope that helps4 -
What did you put in for "How much you're planning to pay in each year" just before submit? I plan on paying nothing other than the transfer.0

Thank you lucyandthomas. I filled in £0 in the end. All seems to be done. Issue 10 opened and showing online. Transfer from my Issue 4 filled in for the full balance with an estimate of the amount and full notice period.1
