Hi everyone, I’m a bit late to the party, but can I join please? I’d like to lose 10lb this quarter.
my starting weight is 10st6. I lost some weight last year for a wedding, but haven’t really been able to lose anything else since then, and have gained 5lb in the last 2 weeks!

i was pleasantly surprised when I weighed the first time in two weeks to find I had stayed the same, just need to keep up with it 🫣

Hi everyone!
Pretty good day today, I think, apart from the lack of sleep. I've done 12K steps today with brisk walks to the station farming the day. That's 5 miles in total.
People are bringing in their spare goodies into the office. I refused a cookie . However, I succumbed to a small slice of swiss roll but to be honest, I think I needed it, so I'd best take a banana or something tomorrow.
Breakfast: overnight oats with fat free yoghurt and blueberries.
Lunch/dinner - pate, pickle, spinach sandwich, no butter, seeded bread. 3 cherry tomatoes.
Snacks: swiss roll - boo; hummus and carrot - yay!
Dinner: smoky chickpea stew from Pinch of Nom - pic but no recipe here: 253 calories. Served with bulgar, spinach and little gem salad, plus cucumber and mint yoghurt on the side. At 253 calories, it does need some bulking with salad for the main meal, but it's very satisfying. A good 7/10 rating from me. I've made all 4 portions so I will take one portion to work, then I'll probably split a portion between me and OH on Friday with rice/bulgar for lunch as we're both at home.Home improvement payments £16.8K to go

Well done on the walking wishus. I don't miss the office kitchen table this time of year, too many temptations with everyone clearing out their unhealthy food, a advantage of working from home

catz4m8z said:I doubt I will lose any weight this week, I have just felt like eating....and eating so far this week! Just coming off nightshifts which are horrible for dieting because I barely sleep so am awake to snack all day. But Ive been eating healthy and sticking to wholefoods which is a win in my book!
Also I finally caved and bought some new underwear. Im trying not to spend too much on clothes between sizes (have been living in t-shirts and leggings most of the last year!) but sometimes you just have to. My bottom half is just about a size 12 now and my undies are a 16/18! I mean some clothes look better baggier.....but your pants arent one of those!LOL
Also swapped my XL comfy crop top bras for a size M too. Much better! (I dont know about anybody else but ever since we all collectively gave up caring during covid I save 'proper' bras for special occasions and mooch around in my comfy ones instead!).
It's just so nice to be able to wear regular clothing sizes....like a nice boring, average sized person!
I'm a little 🫣 top heavy a good bra is a must, although I did temporarily stop wearing them at home during lock down when only rushing delivery men to see me, not a good lookLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin5 -
I’ve just discovered the comfy bra tops. But not in the habit of actually wearing them any other time than on a PJ day - that’s happening this Saturday.Had roast pork from freezer stash, roast potatoes, fresh sprouts, fresh carrots, gravy. Nowhere near the size I would normally have had so feel good about that plus I couldn’t actually eat it all. I’ve started listening to my tummy, when it says stop, I stop. Feel quite virtuous 😇
Cooked a lot of carrots and three small swede. Will be mashing them tomorrow as carrot and swede mash and portioning up for freezer.
Tomorrows dinner is chicken salad with a jacket potato as we have a bit of salad left from festivities. Not managing to stick to exercise goals at the moment which is a bit sad but not beating myself up for it.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Morning All
weighed in today, had to check twice as I've put on so much, although I think the last time I weighed in was probably August. Will be starting properly on Monday and weighing in on Thursdays. I agree that it's easier to keep to healthy eating at work, I only have a 20 min lunch on my work days which are 8:30 til 5;00 so have to take lunch in as I don't have time to pop out to get anything, but also no time for a bit of fresh air either. But when I'm home (also part time) I can munch competitively 😂'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Another lover of comfy bra tops here!
Our of curiosity I weighed myself yeserday and got the shock of my life that I have actually stayed the same since my last weigh in before Christmas. Proper weigh day will be Friday and my actual starting point but pretty pleased I haven't put on over Christmas.
Keeping active today with some housework this morning and will go to the gym tonight and do a wee half hour and then possibly a swim, depending on how busy it is.Save 12k in 2024 Challenge

Also happy today to get a delivery from the Skinny Food Co. Most of their sauces/etc taste gross but I am addicted to the salted caramel one and use it everyday on porridge and deserts. Most of my food is non-diety, just healthy wholefoods but its one of those little exceptions that every diet has to have to succeed!

Sirens I think I am about to get the same unpleasant shock too!
Please can I join? I would like to set a target of 8lb for the first quarter with Saturday weigh ins.
I am hoping this thread will inspire me with ideas as I cannot join a paid slimming plan/group.Frugal Living Challenge 2024 CROFT Crafting: £84/300, R (visiting daughter): £145/£500 Outside activities: £114/244 (Allotment), Outside 2 (Mud monsters et al) £127 F(Family visits): £50/500 Tummy (food budget): Aiming to use full budget monthly of £2005
