why does it go an so easily and come off so slowly !

I seem to be off to a good (re-)start with a loss of 2 lb since my previous weigh-in figure.
So now General_Grant -4/7 1 halo / 7 purple fellas/ 2 halos
Though I don't expect to lose an additional 11 lbs by the end of the month, I may actually manage to be lighter than at the beginning of the quarter. Here's hoping.5 -
Check me out being healthy for tea last night!
Realiesed I had nothing in for tea, could of gone for take away or something oven cooked in a bun with chips....instead made a platter of carrots, cucumber, tomatoes, gherkins with kiwi fruit and dates for desert!
Not the most organized day ever but at least I veered into the frsh fruit and veg and not the chocloate!LOL5 -
Sorry you're not sleeping Pixie, my brain has decided it will keep me await until 3am and has been like a hamster in a wheel. I can't wait until i retire in May so all the what ifs stop as it is a done deal!
I'm liking your breakfast choices Ginger i was laying await last night and the though of more protein rich breakfasts as a change from cereal or porridge was floating about in my head so I may copy you. I was thinking i could prep some omelette fillings the night before like mushrooms so could make a quick omelette
Do you have the recipe for your mug cake Angelica?
SSue if you found the solution to that you could make a fortune, why is it you can look at a cake and gain 1lb. You need to be good as your op is coming up quickly
I braved the scales this week for another STS, at least it wasn't the gain i feared, a couple of health issues mean I need to get my act together and stop faffing with the dieting.
Have a good weekend everyone

Trying to be good. And surprised my hypertension review nurse by having reduced my cholesterol levels. And surprised myself by being down a pound. Now I'm pleased of course on both of these but the weight loss may in fact be due to loss of fluids. The last 3 nights I have awoken drenched in sweat. No reason that I can think of. It's as if I'm having extreme menopausal night sweats despite being way past the menopause. Will continue to monitor....I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. @Brambling it's probably my age and hormones! Hopefully catch up on sleep this weekend. Are you excited about retiring?
I've been having chia puds with berries for breakfast as a change from greek yogurt this week. 30g chia seeds, 200ml milk of choice (I have high protein chocolate soya milk), and you can add flavourings. Make the night before and leave in the fridge. Lots of ideas online. Looks a bit odd though, like frogspawn. 🤣4 -

I adjusted it slightly by adding a few dates. And I didn't use any chocolate chips. But it was satisfying - it was sweet enough with just the banana/dates.
I am loving chia puddings too.4 -

I do love a chia pudding, not had one in awhile. The protein at breakfast I’ve found keeps me fuller for longer Brambling.
I’ve just changed my usual Greek yoghurt to a higher protein one as I’m having it more often now and double the serving 😋 than I did on the fast8OO type diet I did the last couple of years.Old Style Weight Loss Challenge 2025
