I'm sorry to hear about your friend Wishus
you can't be expected to focus on diets in that situation. I'm sure a good friend would tell you to be kind to yourself, I think we tend to say things to ourselves we would never be cruel enough to say to anyone else 🙂

Getting back on it. Got some exercise in today and a Joe Wicks lamb chops and minted couscous recipe. It was light and delicious.
Sometimes it's hard to see what kindness to yourself looks like, but I'm guessing it's variable.5 -
Morning all xx
Monday morning weigh in and I'm -2 lbs for this week. That's -13 lbs in total for the year. I am doubly motivated for the coming week as I want to be able to say I've lost a stone.....so far 😉
In the past I've lost 4 stones three times with SW....and put it back on and more every time. So I'm calorie counting and basically eating the same things (less of) and not snacking in the evenings. And my diet is slowly 🐌 changing. I've rediscovered tinned plum tomatoes, scrambled eggs, microwave rice, and not binge eating chocolate and crisps. Although nothing's forbidden so I'm turning into a 'most satisfying for least calories' Sherlock when I'm shopping. And no dropping into Mr C00p to buy a load of junk aka cream cakes, after a hard day at the paid stuff. I find changing into my scruffs and sitting down with a mug of coffee serves the same purpose....and gives me that aaaahhh moment as I deflate.
I can claim my State pension on 1st February 2027 when I'll be 66 years and 5 months old. I see every month at work as a bit more in my work pension pot and a step nearer being able to afford to retire when the time comes 🤞
Big hugs to all who want one.

I can report a loss of 1.5lbs this week - total 6.5lbs for the year!
Seems a lot but that's hypothyroidism for you. Doesn't mix with the cake, booze and fast food you eat when sad. Can't shrug a cheat off anymore.
Back on it this week. Aiming for the seventy something kilos in 4 weeks.Keep reading books!

Lost this week, phew! 7lbs - its not as dramatic as it looks as I had 2 STS weeks and a gain so really just lost what I gained and another 2lbs. Very pleased though as it puts me under the next stone marker.Well done to all of us - we're all doing good just by being here. Weigh in yesterday was down 2 lbs - I.e. the weight I thought I had put on.
I'm not sure why my weight is bouncing around so much currently, it is very disheartening.
But onwards and upwards, no sweets for lent seems to be helping so hopefully I will continue to see a downward trend.4 -
Having just joined the thread last week, I have managed to gain 0.5kg.
I am not entirely surprised - I got some stuff for pancake day like Nutella. And I lack the self control to not help myself to a random spoonful of Nutella throughout the day. My sleep quality hasn't been great which has added to my sweet craving.3 -
Pleased with myself last night. I managed to resist the munchies!
Tired after a busy but fun weekend socialising, being outdoors and friends staying. Got into work yesterday to find someone has basically ruined two day's work I did on a project. I was very annoyed. I sat down after work, had a lovely homemade-ish vegetable filled stirfry. I wasn't hungry. Then I *really* wanted red wine and a big bag of crisps or chocolate. Meant going out to the shop luckily. I had to have a proper chat with myself and ask if the extra cals would be worth it, I'd feel worse in the morning etc. I compromised and had a small bag of crisps and some dark chocolate which I had at home.
I'm pleased I resisted this time, but I really need to learn how manage emotional / tired cravings. I was too tired to go for a walk which is one method. If anyone has any tips I'd love to hear them!6
