lovemula21 said:I’m pleased to announce I have lost the 2 lb I had gained so I’m back to my starting weight.I’ve swapped crisps and chocolate for Greek yogurt with honey. I’m focusing on homemade nutritiously dense foods that fill me up. This hasn’t increased my food budget yet but it might do in the months to come.I’m exercising again - 2 short runs a week to build up my stamina and daily YouTube beginners yoga.Well done everyone who has posted. Whether that’s a gain, loss or STS. I’m happy I posted about my gain last week, the support on this thread really helped me to stay focused.@Bazzalona13295 sorry to hear of your pain and sleep troubles. Have you tried a natural remedy for sleep? Genexa sleepology is pricey but may help you with sleep.
The only natural remedy I tried was Kalms but what works best for me is simply a couple of glasses of milk before bed, ran out yesterday though!6 -
Glad to hear it’s only every so often @Bazzalona13295and that you have a routine that works for you. FC you can get back on track this evening. I understand your reluctance to take anti depressants if they make you feel like a zombie the next day.I have trouble sleeping sometimes. I’ve noticed that if I do some light yoga and don’t read my phone after 10pm I am more likely to get off to sleep and stay asleep until morning.I’ve tried natural remedies too which have helped but I prefer not to use them.Save £12k in 2024: £13,542/£12,0006

Alot of mine is perimenopause related though. Although I do find it helpful to switch off all devices at least an hour before you go to sleep.
I did struggle to find something else to do though (reading is good but if I get to a good bit then I cant put my book down!). What is working for me is doing puzzle books. Im a wordsearch girl but I expect sudoku or other puzzles would be good too.
Im a STS this week. Well, technically Ive lost .4 of a Ib but thats not enough to count really!
Im really not mad about it, after losing a huge amount last week I figured it was a wonky reading and Id go back up. So STS is actually cause to celebrate!5 -
Can't remember if I posted for Wednesday's weigh-in...been a busy few days since. I was STS for that week. It's not looking that hopeful for next Wednesday's weight in tbh...need to get myself back on track and hopefully get another STS as I don't think I'll be able to lose anything this week.

Half a kilo UP for me this week.5
-
Foofoopuppy said:Half a pound down. I'm saying this because I weighed in yesterday just out of interest and that's what it was. When I did my official weigh in this morning it was up 2lbs, which is impossible (to be purely fat anyway) but extremely annoying. I did do a fair bit of exercise yesterday so hoping it's something to do with that and I will weigh myself tomorrow again to check.
But very annoying!
How is it possible to vary so much on a daily basis? Up, Down, Up, Down ... I had an 'official' weigh in at the doctor's this week and apparently had stayed the same since a month ago. At home though, I had weighed in at almost a kilo and a half heavier ...5 -
Don't forget the effects of having a good drink of water. I mean it's good for you, good for the digestive transit etc but a large glass of water weighs half a pound at least.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. This week I've been too sad to do this properly as my friend died unexpectedly.
Getting back on it. Got some exercise in today and a Joe Wicks lamb chops and minted couscous recipe. It was light and delicious.
Sometimes it's hard to see what kindness to yourself looks like, but I'm guessing it's variable.Keep reading books!
