STS for me this week - not surprised as there were a few too many homemade biscuits over the weekend ... oh well!

Some great work going on here everyone!
  • I’m back onboard. Could you please put me down for 14lbs for the rest of Q1 @Brambling thank you.

Starting this year 4lbs lower than the start of last 🙂(11 lost overall 7 of which I found during the festivities). Added to previous efforts that’s -10lbs over 24 months. I have over 5 stone to drop and at this rate I’m looking at 7 years!

Clearly I need more consistency less yo-yoing so my focus this year is on sustainability and balance. Motivation is high and I’ve a shiny new plan I’m confident I can stick to. Lower carb because I feel better eating less of those with more emphasis on portion control rather than totalling up the numbers. It’s all the counting and tracking where I come unstuck. I’ll be weighing my portions to begin with though. I’ll start with 3 meals a day no snacking then see if I want to go back to 2 further down the line. No alcohol for the first week at least whilst I reset to fat burning. Just stretching for movement for now unless I feel like going walking.

I’ve had a stinking cold so my exercise has been reduced and I’ve definitely followed the ‘feed a cold, starve the flu’ mantra!

Starting to feel more human, so I’ll be back on it next week
    have a great weekend everyone

I'm not going to weigh in this week although I'm quite pleased with how (I think) I've done.

I'm a bit of an insomniac at times and I'm wide awake so have come downstairs and had a bite to eat, plus maybe a Baileys or two later to finally knock me out, but as I weigh in early on a Saturday morning this will 'distort' the weight - or at least put a negative slant on it.

The way my head works (or doesn't as the case may be) is that if I've put on I'll only get down and eat junk, so given that I'll opt for the 'gap' week - but I am relatively satisfied with how I've done (I know - contrary to the point of denial).

I think I have eaten healthier/better/smaller portions and after doing 73,000 steps last week (STS) I've done 99,000 steps this week, in fact I've really pushed the boat out with exercise. May even be 'too' tired which is why I can't sleep!

I'm still going to do a good walk at some point tomorrow and Sunday too so I don't let this lack of sleep right now affect the weekend too much.

I hope this non weighing in is ok? Genuinely think I'm on the right track, I tend to know roughly how I've done before I step on the scales, don't have too many 'HOW have I not lost weight??' weeks, if I've gained I'm usually honest enough to admit that yep simply not eaten sensibly over the 7 days.

Hopefully next weeks weigh in will reflect this belief that I'm not doing too badly.

PS not read any updates lately so seeing all the recent losses for the first time, very VERY well done!
