Old Style Weight Loss Challenge - 1st Quarter 2024
Comments
-
Morning all xx
- 1/2 lb for me this week. I know I should be pleased but I'm gutted - no point pretending otherwise.
Two possible reasons. Being back at work means I'm basically sat for 8 hours a day for 4 days. And ⚠️ TMI Alert: I don't know when I last pooped.
So plan of action for the coming week:
Continue calorie counting
Drink more water
Dance after work. Kitchen Disco. I'll start with Don't Leave Me This Way by The Communards which will no doubt be enough to begin with. Then build on it over the weeks. (Oo. Lightbulb moment. That's a brilliant idea: if I start now by 9th November I'll be able to hit the dance floor .... and not sit tapping my feet and wishing I could strut my stuff.)
And breathe...

Roundtuit I Think it was QI which said go to a book shop and browser, this makes you relax and then need to go! not one I've tried
Someone told me sliced kiwi thin with the skin on and that sometimes work personally i don't like the though of eating the skin but then I'm not keen on peach skin either. The exercise may also move things along
have a good week every one

Brambling - thankyou. I do have Kiwi fruit in the fridge. I've never considered eating the skin.
I wonder if browsing the book dept on Am@z0n will work? Could be expensive 😉
Let's see what this week brings- it's early days an I've a long way to go. Need to get my marathon mindset activated.

@roundtuit I always find going for a walk where I can't get back quickly makes me need the bathroom - but not always a great thing! 😆
If I don't think I've been eating enough veg (like last week...) I always do a stirfry for dinner. Easy to cook because I use the pre chopped ones and a packet sauce, low calorie because I don't use noodles, and a nice injection of fibre.
Stirfry is on the list for dinner tonight, and even better it was a free one from olio that I shoved in the freezer and Mr Puppy has been complaining about it taking up space. So a win all round!4 -

It looked like I might be reporting a loss, but it was not to be...
However, checked my Fitbit stats and all I can say is wow. There is a clear plunge in January for my resting heart rate, and a corresponding rise in my variable heart rate, which just shows the exercise and lack of booze is doing its thing. May just have to extend Dry January to...what can we call it? Flexible February?Keep reading books!
