So my target was 1900 and I've somehow reduced my debt by that much since Jan. my personal debt was 9795 and is now 7095. My lowest debt is 450 so I'm gonna aim to pay off another 500 pounds with a 1% of 5. (Going for easy maths again hence the rounded up amount 😂) probably not by Xmas but you never know!
    Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

    Mortgage Jan 18- 77224 May 25- just under 65k

June 25 Debts in my name only £5170. DH can't keep track...

#24 3263/4293 £346 paid off this month to bring the total left to pay to £1030 so that I remain interest free till December. Starting to feel hopeful I'll pay it all off before the end of the year now.

Made an additional payment so now at £1,169 out of £2,000. Have another £400 set aside but credit card statements don't come in until the middle of the month.
  • Please can I join and be #38?!

Context: House move and wedding in the same year, plus some legacy debt from renovating our first house.

My aim is to be completely debt free in 12 months, and down at least £6,000 by Xmas 2024.

Updating this month's totals, paid £1,450/£2,000. Should be able to pay another £100 before the end of the month but will update as and when that happens.
  • Sorry have not updated for a while on the thread. I cleared some debt but then slipped back up again - partly to cover unforseen expenses and partly as I wasn't being careful enough with money. It's still less than it was at the year start but not by much.

I'm going to have a real push in the last four months of the year to try and get it down again.
Debt at year start was 50,110. It is now 49,631. I want to have it down to 47,000 by end of December.

On the home run to have this paid by Christmas, this will include using the end of December's pay as this will be paid early before Christmas, feels like I'm cheating slightly but 🤞 I'll be all paid off by 23rd of December.

#24 3493/4293 paid £230 this month so that I could get to an even £800 still to pay. I'm hoping I can pay off 2 lots of £400 over the next 2 months to be free of payments for December. I'm really looking forward to being able to save money for once.
