So far, so good - but I keep feeling as though I've forgotten to do something!
  • I realised this morning that I had no pudding to serve after Christmas dinner, I was only expecting to be doing dinner for me & hubby & now I have 3 extras coming. Fortunately I had a jar of mincemeat so I'm making mince pies.

A very quiet day here, just had the neighbour round for coffee. No presents opened yet, will wait until DS gets here.
Just want to wish a Very Merry Christmas to everyone, and sending thoughts and prayers to all who are sad today.
    Have a lovely day.
  • oh well. I have had a lazy shower and am now munching on a half slice of my gorgeous (even though I say it myself) hm bread and cooked ham. A little dijon on the bread and it really is fab.

Thanks re the turkey tips, I`ll get the silver foil. Looking on the bright side, it will save a lot of mess later

Don't fret about your meal kittie. At least the turkey will be cooked. Be worse if it hadn't de-frosted and wasn't ready to eat and your guests had to leave by early evening.

My friend just called, she'd been stuck on the M25, bad accident unfortunately, I'm sure dinner will be fine and lets just hope that all involved in the accident are ok.

We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment
  • Hi all, Happy Christmas. I'm usually more of a lurker and enjoy reading all about you on the daily thread but have decided to try and post more often. Here, both DS's have opened their presents, turkey still in oven. (all recovering from chocolate overload this morning). Happy Birthdays to all those celebrating that and get well soon to all those suffering.
