    HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE:j

and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Grannybroon xx

Hope everyone is well and having a wonderful morning :T (Im sat here with my bucks fizz, so you know im happy!!!!) Goose is in the oven smelling lovely, and children very happy with their presents (when they are grateful, it makes it all worthwhile). We will be having our first treasure hunt in a bit, and then they have more pressies (those from other people, not me) after lunch. We are also watching our new dvd of Harry Potter and the order of the pheonix at the moment.

Right, off to get the treasure hunt ready - have a lovely day everyone,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Morning all and a very Happy Christmas to you all. I have been MIA for days I'm afraid because I have been very unwell - to the point of delirium for two days! Just popped in quickly to wish you all a lovely day today. Will come back when I feel properly better and sorry I haven't been joining you lately. My Mum is staying with us and has ended up doing most of the work with DH helping her. I feel absolutely useless but can do nothing about it right now.

Have a great day and hope to see you all very soon.

Happy Christmas:xmastree: :xmassign: :xmastree: :xmassign: :xmastree: :xmassign:

just wanted to pop on and wish everyone a Happy Christmas!

Got up at 5am to open pressies and get an hour or so with OH before he had to leave for work (7am-7pm shift :( ).. then got back into bed as was so tired as not been too well.

Just gonna get dressed etc and then head to my mums to do pressies and xmas lunch. Only quiet xmas this year cos nicki and her family are away at her inlaws.. so just me, mum dad and my 15 yr old bro.

More excited atm about next year though!!! Cos next year bump will be here and will be 8 months old.. and daddy wont be working.. and it will be great!!

(Although daddy already bought bump a present of books for this christmas and read her her first story before he went to work! hehehe)

  • Oh blow!!! Turkey went in the oven at the right time for us to eat at 1 and I have just had a call to say that guests will be late as the M25 is at a standstill. Its 3 hours from there to here and its just pushing 11

    blow, bother, fiddlesticks @@@

everything was organised by me around eating at 1 and that includes a buffet meal this evening

I`m trying to stay chilled and have turned the turkey right down and everyone has gone for a walk now as it`ll be dark after the meal. At a push I`ll be dishing up cold turkey

why oh why didn`t they come last night like they said they would, until 3 days ago, when suddenly the cat couldn`t be left too long!!! and why oh why did they leave so late this morning???

Deep down I am really pee`d off and this is all adding up more and more to going away for christmas next year.
  • Mioliere - sorry to hear u havent been well

called out engineer as i couldnt see prob with heating, seems the pump has switched itself off:confused: the engineer couldnt work out what had happened, so none the wiser, still freezing here but at least its starting to warm up now:D

    Hi,

Dont panic too much, it'll be fine!!
You can always let the Turkey settle and then carve it. Just before serving it, wrap it in some tinfoil and heat in the oven for 5-10 mins just to get the heat back in. Sometimes I put a little of the juice over the meat inside the tinfoil for some moisture.

It's a pain, but these things happen...I'm sure everyone will enjoy their meal and eat the buffet stuff later too. There is always tomorrow to finish everything off.

try to enjoy your day too, merry christmas :)

Don't worry - our dinner is aimed for about 12.30. 9.35 a.m. spoke to son in London (yes - M25 first bit of journey) so am in same boat. He should have come yesterday too, but told him to take his time and not rush. Sooner have a grotty dinner than he had an accident. Anyway, as long as the gravy is good to soften it up........

    Merry Christmas
