Hi all
Nice to hear from you Dancemum. How are things with DS? Hope things work out better for you all with him being back home and hope you are getting some support xx
ASB I hate this weather too, I was sure I could hear a strange creaking in our roof last night!
Lovely family day yesterday topped off with a Chinese takeaway, a rare treat. I have spent so much, but it's been worth it. Today parents and MIL are coming for tea so I need to have a bit of a tidy up and we need more food. There is laundry to sort too but I am not going overboard, they are not coming here to check for dust.
It's Friday 29th just in case anyone needs reminding 😁 x9 -
Morning (again!) everyone
Thanks for the cuppa in bed Fayolle, you’re a sweetie. I sincerely hope your DH is up now and being useful! And welcome back to Dancemum, you’ve been missed. Don’t be a stranger.I have fed the animals and will feed us now. Then it’s Operation take the decorations down 😊
ETA just been upstairs and DD has eaten an entire chocolate Santa this morning. In her effort to hide it from me, there is squashed chocolate all over her bedding. FGS…
Stay safe and dry everyone xx9 -
Yayyyyy. Finally I'm through the 28th Dec time trap. Most discombobulating. Thank you YL xx
I'm at work. Alone in the office. So sneaking in to see who's doing what. I wrapped DS's seashells (choc) last night, and put the cash in his card. I'm going to drop them off on my way home tonight.
I filled up with petrol on my way to work this morning. And fed the birds / put out the recycling before I set off.
I brought my bullet journal to work - maybe I'll write a list, or two....a la Fayolle 😊
Have a good day

@roundtuit my bullet journal got sorely neglected last year, didn't do spreads for most months and have a ton of souvenirs to go in from several trips, so I don't really know where to start with it again now
I'm trying a new cleaning app to see if it helps, it tells me the status of each task based on when I last did it. We will see. Today is mostly dishes, washing, and paperworkMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Get dressed
Feed the animals
Go to doctor's appointment
Check the sheep for a local farmer
Sort through the freezer and see what food is needed for new years meal.
Sort Mr T order as it gets delivered tomorrow
Sort through the diary and add appointments, uni commitments, and work meetings as much as possible from now till July (I like to be organised as reduces the risk of double bookings) Work in Progress
Tidy up the living room (this seems to be an ongoing battle at the moment)
Hoover downstairs.
Have some me time, as the last couple of days of the festive holidays for me (back to work on Sunday). Going to relax in front of the TV tonight
Think that is everything that I need to tackle today. Hope everyone has a lovely Friday.

Morning everyone
Had a rare lie-in this morning and didn't get up until after 8am. I think having DGD yesterday wore me out! It was lovely to spend time with her though.
Today I am just going to lounge around I think and watch TV - I see several Yes Minister episodes are being broadcast on one of my Freeview channels this afternoon so I'm looking forward to that.
Things I do need to do today:- WM/TD
- Make bread
- Phone butcher with meat order (I think they are only open half-day tomorrow)
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

2nd of three loads in WM. There is a break in the rain so the heavy bits are on the line. I’m having forty winks before lunch x7

ASB.. maybe give them an ear chewing.. they might be waiting for confirmation from a dr which can take ages but a swift kick might spur them into motion. You can use tht opportunity to add new info too.. always worth doing!
I have a VERY unhappy tummy this morning.. I ate chicken.. and wheat.. and had milk... it is self inflicted but I almost had an accident cutting my toenails! lol meds taken for tummy and pain and body function.
I might crack on with my knitting..

Cloth_of_Gold said:I've bought quite a few wool things recently and last year we were plagued with clothes moths and all my jumpers were ruined. We had all manner of lavender moth repellent things around but they had no effect whatsoever. I don't want to use and nasty chemicals but has anyone got any foolproof methods for preventing moths as I don't want all my recent purchases to end up full of holes.
Google Cashmere Circle, they sell pheromone moth boxes that attract the boy moths and break the breeding cycle which starts April or even earlier. However, this has to be accompanied by regularly shaking all the clothes you possess so the moths don't have opportunity to settle and freezing everything that was in contact with the stuff that was eaten to make sure the eggs have been killed... It's a drawn out process.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.
