My calendars say it's the 27th but it must be the 28th because I'm going back to the paid stuff. I seem to have lost a day 🤔
I'm up, dressed, taken my meds packed my lunch, eaten breakfast and I'm supping my brew. I have a very Christmassy pack up: cheese and crackers, an apple, and Christmas cake. Can you get withdrawal symptoms if you suddenly miss out chocolate? Hmmmm. Might drop a couple of chocs in to be on the safe side.
P is back in hospital. Maybe he just likes riding in ambulances? Sorry but if I don't laugh, I'll cry. They thought it was an infection, now they don't think it is. !!!!!!. Breathe. Breathe...
I'll be on my own in the office today...the fattest skeleton crew known to man! I hope it's busy. I'm taking my book just in case. Sod the cockwombles. Calling at PO and to see Pops on my way home.
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I leave.
Hmmm. Need to check if the bins are being emptied tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a superdeduper day.
RxxSorry P is back in hospital - hope everything is ok soon. You comment about being the fattest skeleton crew known to man really made me laugh. It was cold and miserable today, sometimes with rain and wind. I wanted some crackers (yes, honestly) and thought I might get come cheaply as I'm probably the only person in the country who wants them on Dec 27th. I remembered that Waitrose didn't have any when I was in there on Christmas Eve and nor did they have any online. I checked M&S online but they only had one sort that were not reduced and I didn't like anyway. In the end I bought some on Amazon paying more than I would have liked. I made a mid-morning coffee for us and then went out and bought the paper, some clementines and a bottle of wine to take to the friend I was seeing for an hour later on.Went home made lunch, washed up, rang a friend, had tea and made some small inroads into the cake, went over to a friend for a drink, came back, made supper and washed up, rang a friend about her and her son coming over for tea one day to help us out with the cake (I also have one that my cousin's daughter made us), rang the friend that we had Christmas lunch with to thank her (we would normally send a card but it seems a bit daft to do that when her flat is full of Christmas cards s she gets an awful lot), administered eye drops, cleaned my teeth and will go to bed shortly. The charging cable for my laptop arrived from Amazon and it seems to work ok so will put off buying a new laptop for the time being. A is buying me a coat for Christmas but I said I would wait to get it until after Christmas, partly because I didn't have the time before and partly because I hope to get something in the sales. I want a 3/4 length wool overcoat and have seen a couple online but want to see them in the cloth, so to speak, to check the quality and that I do like them and to try them on so hopefully will do that tomorrow. I hate clothes shopping so I hope that I can find something suitable quickly.Am I the only one who doesn't take their decorations down until Twelfth Night?12 -
cannot sleep…been awake for 3+ hours now. Can’t find the biscuit tin. who’s got it and what’s in it?

Morning all.
I went to bed last night with backache and it's no better this morning. Have swallowed some parrots and am going to be very careful about flying. DH will have to do the hoovering while I concentrate on food prep.
@Cloth_of_Gold I have always left my decorations up until Twelfth Night, but this year I am finding it hard to cope with all the added clutter, so I shall be taking bits down every day from now until only the most significant pieces (including Flylady cards) are left. The outside lights will probably stay up until Candlemass (2nd. Feb), as I hate the winter darkness.
Better get moving again. Will report back later xxx

Morning all xx
CoG - tree will be up until Twelfth Night here too. You are not alone 😊
It was a steady day at work yesterday- I managed to finish my book in between taking calls.
Called at the PO on my way home and paid C Tax, withdrew cash to put in DS's birthday card, and bought Euros to put in Pops' birthday card. Called at C00p for bread buns and picked up some chocolate seashells for DS to supplement the cash in his card. Then called to see Pops and Babs and got absolutely drenched between the car and their door.
And now it really is 28th December. Time warp glitch at this house is undone.
I'm up, dressed, made my bed, taken my meds, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast and I'm supping my brew.
Wondering what / how much damage yesterday's torrential rain did to the contents of the shed - roof felt having departed company with the shed roof during the last gales. I'll have to check at the weekend - too dark before and after work to see / avoid spiders and possibly other small critters. Jeans will be firmly tucked into socks before I venture in there. In daylight.
Heigh ho. Heigh ho.
Hope you all have a chilled day.
Rxx

*humphs at ASB who’s scoffed all the goodies*. 😉
Fell asleep and woke up about 15 minutes ago, so I am partway through my vertical hall hour. Need to do a. bit of flying today, but I also need to do some work stuff and go and let people in at 3. And turn the chicken into soup. I need bits from the shops so I might buy some barley to put in said soup. I don’t like barley…I don’t like the texture not the flavour, but DD does.
Hope everyone has a good day. Please don’t stock the biscuits up with bourbons, I don’t like them either…I yearn for Lemon Puffs.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

CoG- no set date here for me, generally around New Year's Day. They go up the first weekend in December so by NYD I've seen a lot of them
Valli- my biscuit tin is just a handful of custard creams and a couple of bourbons, sadly

Morning all
Did very little yesterday except some general tidying up and a lot of time on a Times Extra Killer Sudoku (deadly) puzzle which is, indeed, deadly. My DSis has managed to complete it but my DBro and I are struggling. I've lost count of the number of times I've restarted it! My DSis has given me a couple of hints so I'll get cracking on it later.
DGD is arriving in the next half hour to have lunch and spend the afternoon here which will be nice.
Apart from that, the place is generally up together so it'll be simple SandS as necessary.
Have a lovely day

Another one who needed a good kick up the…
I’m drifting, feeling sorry for myself that I have to go back to a job that I used to like and now hate, thanks to the new owners and their attitude. I don’t even go back until January 2nd for **£# sake! So, in the name of flylady, I have firmly reattached my flylady hat and…..drum roll….cleaned the oven. Heavens to Betsy, don’t have a mass fainting episode. And then I cleaned the microwave (looking at you, DD, for what appears to be melted butter all over the inside). And now the wm is running. What brought this on - I am finally home alone! DH has gone to pick up a prescription, DD has gone to an appointment in small town.I am willing to take one for the team and finish any lurking bourbons 😉. Slinky is starting January 8th. There, I have said it. Again, but let’s see how far I get this time. In the meantime I have lebkuchen, if anyone is interested in trading their biscuit tin contents.10
