Yep, dark, wet, windy and the 27th here too. So does this mean that you have gone to work for nothing, Round? You have confused this bear with little brain as well now!
Belated happy burfday to you, Piggers x
We had a pretty good day with DSis and family yesterday. I drove back, and even that went without anxiety. Back to partial reality today - not back at work, but the wm x 2 is on, and I need to pay my credit card bill. Nothing says real life more than that, really.
Next job, sort out the fridge, and meal plan. Although that will have to be flexible as I’m not really sure if anyone has Plans.

Morning. It's very dark, wet, and stormy here today therefore I think I'll get on with indoor tasks today.
My list for today
Get dressed
Feed the animals
Finish sorting my new diary for January.
Wash up the rest of the dishes, dry and put away
Tidy up the living room.
Find the textbook that is required for uni after the holidays, I got the book a few months back but can't remember where I put it.
Declutter 50 emails from inbox.
Tidy up the kitchen.
Check direct debits, payments, and income dates for this month and ensure all is in the diary.
Look at the online sales as need to find leggings to wear under my scrubs for work.
Take some time to have time for me today.
Think that is everything that I need to tackle today, Hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday.

Thank you for all my Flylady cards with their kind messages, and for the puddy tat and the chocolate coin and the £50 note (the latter won't last long
). My kitchen window sill is now adorned as it should be for the festive season
So far today I have
- sorted out the freezers and moved everything that I shall need on Friday into the kitchen, and all the ready meals into the utility, which will save me pushing my way through the crowd to get the bags of frozen veg
- done my final shop of 2023 at MrAl, who had everything I needed except Blutack, and stowed everything away in the fridges or in a pile on the counter
- visited my friend who has started a short course of chemo (precautionary, we hope) and chatted with her for almost an hour
- heated up HM soup for lunch.
My aspirations for the remainder of the day are to
- take Rosie for a short walk in the gale-force wind and rain - it's already looking quite dark out there, but I have strings of fairy lights around the back garden to guide us home
- make a coffee sponge cake
- re-hang some cards which have fallen down - how dare they!
- finish writing out the timings for cooking Friday's meal
- make some phonecalls
- heat up HM stew for tea
- relaxxxxxxxxxx.
Hope everyone has a quiet evening planned xxx8 -

Evening all
I have spent most of the day dozing. I had to people way too much yesterday and I am exhausted. The children are home tomorrow so I haven’t felt guilty for my sloth like state!I have had a shower, set the WM going and also the DW. All gifts have been tidied away and I cannot wait to get the decs down (probably Friday’s job) and get back to normal.
Have lovely evenings all x11 -
Belated greetings to Pigpen.
We're back from Mum's, horrendous journey as about 80 miles of the 130 was in stop-start traffic, with heavy rain/mist/wind. At least we broke the journey meeting DB and SIL who live just short of the half way mark and had a pub lunch (was meant to be coffee and cake but the cafe was closed). Glad I managed a sea swim yesterday when it was calm. Now we are surrounded by bags to unpack - presents, shopping (took Mum to Mr L this morning so stocked up), shopping from BIL from when he had his Mr T discount. The jury's out as to whether we will actually decorate the tree; so far it has lights, chocolate ornaments and knitted cutie.
Thank you so much for my Secret Santa; a lovely mix of my favourite scent and a nice practical planner which I desperately need. Lists here I come. But this evening it will be soup (which I hastily made when we got in half an hour ago), delectable carrot and cheese flapjacks (made by DB and SIL for all of us for a gift) while watching Vera. Oh and maybe the odd mince pie or slice of Xmas pudding.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.12 -
Pouring with rain here, it is really loud. Combined with the wind I simply cannot sleep. My alarm is set for 6am so it’s quite frustrating!10
