Hope everyone has had a good day, although sorry to hear an P Round.
This morning I went to the 8.30 Mass. Came back and took some rubbish and some recycling down. Drove to our friend’s retirement complex where we had lunch. After lunch we went up to our friend’s flat for a while. She gave me a very nice red jumper and A a box of crystallised fruits. Drove home and A rang his brother and his cousin, who has covid. He is now on the phone to the friends we are going to tomorrow for lunch. I’ll make a light supper shortly and hopefully have a fairly early night.11 -
Morning, morning, morning xx
Popping in to do a headcount to make sure we all made it through another Christmas Day - no-one got thrown out with the wrapping paper, or got thrown into jail for attempting to murder an annoying relative? Good. Just one or two stragglers there...hanging? Ok. Perfectly acceptable today...but not advisable if you have young children, or more celebrations to attend / host today.
And breathe.....
I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, and I'm supping a brew.
I took the advice of a flylady friend and made the most of my time with my boy. We have a date for the wedding: 9th November 2024. I have a goal: slinky is us.
P phoned DS halfway through lunch to say they were discharging him later and would DS plate him up some Christmas dinner. They let him out about 3ish. So my day ended early as DS and DF went to retrieve P so I came home. Dr Who, Call the Midwife, and Christmas cake for tea. And I finished reading The Santa Killer.
I need to get right side up and organised for DS's birthday (30th Dec), Pops' birthday (4th Jan), back to work (tomorrow).
Brew 2 first though. Join me?

Morning all
It is SUNNY! And not windy!! I had almost forgotten what that was like!Thank you from me and the children for our lovely SS gifts 😊😊😊😊.I did a thorough kitchen clean yesterday so all that remains is to clean out the air fryer, after I’ve made pigs in blanket sandwiches for brekkie of course. I’m going to shove the sofa throw in the WM and get it on the line for a bit. We have to go out later (ugggh), but I’ll be making sure the house is spotless for our return.I hope everyone is as well as can be xx12 -
Morning all,
In for the second brew, snatching the water from Round’s boiled kettle.
All heads counted back in present and correct here. DH tried to thwart Super Chicken, but met his match. Not as early in the proceedings as I would have liked, though.Kitchen and DR tidied, all washing up done yesterday, with the exception of one roasting tray which is DH’s special cleaning treat for this morning.
Not hanging, which is a result and a necessity. Off to visit DSis, BiL, niece, nephew and partners for lunch. All wits required as I will get roped in with the end of the cooking process, and will need to have an exit strategy. Love my sister, but…
Have a restful day all xx11 -
Morning all and I know it's a tad late but Happy Christmas to all my dear Flylady friends.
All present and correct here Round and ooh a winter wedding next year, very exciting!
Had a lovely lovely Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Everyone enjoyed themselves here, the gifts went down well, the food was a success and I mostly stopped myself from overthinking things.
DS2 and DH have requested a day collapsed on the sofa watching sport. I am going to make the most of the calm dry mild day to go out cycling and have some time to myself.
I made an attempt to tidy up before bed so the house is not exactly tidy but presentable. Despite several discussions about cutting back on presents we still seem to have a huge amount of stuff in the LR but hopefully DS and GF will remove their share of it today.
Enjoy the Bank Holiday and if it's tough with you for any reason I am sending love and coping vibes xx12 -
Hope everyone having a great Christmas
I've put the washer on as sun's out for drying it 😄12 -

Sofa throw washed and on the line. Boot room door mat now in WM, the mud I can see through the glass is something else…
LR hoovered, fire cleaned out, my side table washed and polished. Ssshh… all the rubbish Christmas cards in the recycling bin. Flylady cards still in transit (my fault, not Natty’s), looking forward to those hopefully arriving tomorrow. I keep them all each year in my special box.LR door staying wide open to let fresh air in.11
