Decluttered a spent light bulb and some old batteries at the supermarket +2, and +1 for handbag that was useful but not loved that's been replaced with one I prefer. I don't need two "going out" handbags, so the old one can go.
Two areas I want to tackle this week: stationery/paper crafting drawers, and shoe cupboard. The latter was done last summer so shouldn't be too bad, the former will be toughMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Dinner is going to be risotto cakes. The 2nd ring on the hob is about 85% done & some kitchen recycling has been washed, dried & put in the wheelie bin. DSis is having a bath 😉
Thanks for that vulpix 👏 I too love a Brillo pad 😉 This time around I will try to make sure that the gunk doesn’t build up again 😉 Your Aunt in Canada sounds like a wonderful woman 😊 Hopefully bit_by_bit & her boys will find some useful items at your Mum’s house today & then the rest can go to the CS 🤞 MrV might have an unhealthy interest in mugs but the flip side is that it is a fairly harmless pastime 😂
EnergyShifter, yippee to No sinus headache 🎉 Well done on catching up with your admin 👏 However, at the first sign of a headache please pop back into the TLC Carriage 🙏
QueenJess, some great advice for betasam 👏 & good luck finding the ‘errant’ piece of toy 🍀
Brambling, if ‘flitting’ works for you, then I think you should stick with it whilst you build up your Decluttering Muscles ready to tackle the projects with more emotional attachment 😊 An excellent weekend of decluttering which has earned you a medal🏅
wishus, shame about needing to delete the Duolingo App 😔 but well done on deleting the Just Eat App - your waistline will thank you 😊
Liverpool_Anne, not really convinced that yesterday was a slow decluttering day 🤔 A tip run, lots of ingredients used up by OH batch cooking, more space in the tea/coffee cupboard & all the washing up done 👏 Fingers crossed that the tv footy channel can be retrieved easily 🤞
weenancy, sounds like you are a woman on a mission 😊 Firstly, I am very pleased to hear that you are eating properly 😊 Secondly I love your new slogan “If it is to be, it is up to me.” You have given your roommates every opportunity & plenty of training, now it is up to them 😔 However, whilst I love your slogan please, please do not try to do too much, too quickly 🙏🙏 Hope the Library Board meeting goes well & that you have a couple or 3 people lined up ready to join you & fill the vacancies 🤞I am also keeping everything crossed that the predicted storm bypasses you completely 🤞
Nice to see you TheEmerald 👋 You might not post often but I can see you have been working hard at the decluttering 👏 That was a real bargain in Lidl, so I don’t blame you for stocking up 🙂 It sounds like you have a plan so Good Luck with tackling your food cupboards 🍀 Hope to hear from you in a couple of weeks 😉
florianatwobob, books are so sneaky 😏 so well done on ferreting them out 👏 The Black Forest gateau sounds delicious 🤤 so I am hoping a large slice was donated to the buffet car 😂
DH got back just before DSis went out to try & sort her meds out yet again 😔 DH is looking very dapper & for some reason the shorter haircut makes it look like he has more hair 🤨 Time for a mini break to make another cuppa & a quick attempt to finish cleaning ring 2 of the hob. DSis is back & has some of her meds but has to go back on Friday 😔 Back shortly 🙂

Pottered this morning then emptied DGD4's bedroom. Thorough clean - so much tat and sticky bits under bed and behind desk etc. Mopped and vacuumed and I have stripped her bedding to wash and put back for Thursday. Clothes sorted through, hung up or folded neatly. 8 random socks found and washed - hopefully they will pair up. All her tat - make up, hairbands, pens, jewellery, school work etc on dining room table for her to sort out and put away neatly. It smells clean and fresh in there now.

Couldn’t get to the hob as DSis is cooking bacon, so just made myself a coffee & straight back to cheerleading 😉
GrannyKate, pleased to hear that the storm has blown away 🙂 That sounds like a massive digital decluttering project 😬 so good luck 🍀 Do you have a target in mind or is it one of those let’s see what happens 😉 Definitely should be counted & maybe an extra 1 each time you reach 10,000 😊
ruby_eskimo, oh dear I need to be quicker off the mark - I missed the malt loaf 😔 Excellent decluttering 👏 What a result re the carpet 🥳 & an even better result that DH is “fully on board with your ‘Move Ready’ philosophy 😊 Good luck sorting the nail varnishes - however many there are 🍀
London_1, such supportive & empathic comments for nannywindow 😊 Thank you for the lovely story about your family history 👏😊 I am way too lazy to look into my family tree although DH has done a lot of work on his & some on mine (made more difficult as I have Italian heritage on my DM’s side) Just wish I had paid more attention to family stories in my teens & early twenties 😔
Brilliant decluttering 2Scratters 👏 So successful, especially re the cleaning products, that I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️
Crazycatlady2, such a shame that your successful morning turned into a rather challenging one 😊 Presumably the dog was only trying to help out 😉 Hopefully you have a better afternoon 🤞
foxandflowers, I think you should count decluttering the Office Cupboard of Doom as a reward for doing so much housework 😊 You have done brilliantly especially as you are keeping so many challenges on the go 👏 You are doing so well that I am awarding you a medal🏅 to remind you of how much progress you are making 😊 What an excellent weight loss 🥳 & those miniature clay animals are so cute ☺️
flamingo747, I will definitely be posting an After hob cleaning picture 😉😅 Sorry to hear that the cough is still being persistent 😔 Shame about the fence, but now I think it is time that the lettings agency gets the LL to replace the fence as it should not be up to you to save LL money 🤨
Wednesday2000, very impressed that you are practicing some self care 🥹 & from what you say it is doing you the world of good 😊 I was very curious about “Gong Baths” so did a couple of minutes of investigating 😉 I think I would probably opt for a “Sound Bath” instead as I rather like the idea of “crystal or Himalayan singing bowls” 😊 Conjures up some weird mystical thoughts & images 😅 Another of our declutterati adopting the “Move Ready Philosophy” 😊
QueenJess, I think I rather like your version of a Gong Bath 😂
Brie, phew 😮💨
Well said foxandflowers 🙂
Excellent decluttering TheDoolallyDilly 👏
Crazycatlady2, well done on finding DD’s tee shirt 👏Your “Move Ready Philosophy” is definitely working 😊
Excellent decluttering thriftwizard 👏 Sounds like you took full advantage of your Tip run 🥳
Wednesday2000, pleased to hear that you got home safely & have had a successful afternoon dealing with admin 👏
sammy_kaye18, sorry to hear that DD has tonsillitis 😔 Hope she gets better soon 🤞 Great work getting all the washing up done 👏 although I think that next time you should get DS to do it 😉 I have made a note of your goal & have the ‘Awards Bag’ ready to to go to celebrate your successes 😊
QueenJess, a great post mentioning some very useful decluttering ideas to get us started or just back into the decluttering mindset 👏
Great decluttering flamingo747 👏 Good luck with this weeks areas to to declutter 🍀

Hi,
Lovely lunch out with bit by bit who is still convalescing from her awful lurgy. She took some bedding home, hurrah. Just been up to Mum's again to give someone a TV as theirs had died. I expect another afternoon and the upstairs of the house will be empty.I have put all the furniture in the main bedroom. Mum want's to get a house clearance person in when I have removed all the personal stuff. She has a beautiful birds eye maple bedroom suite with glamorous Hollywood circular mirror on the dressing table. If I had the room I would have it myself. It's 1950's but Art Deco style.

Some more bits and pieces out today, including lots of things removed from a favourites list last night. I also am sick of seeing all the horrible plastic packaging bags you always seem to get when you order anything, but I want them to be reused. I do use them for things to go out for Buy Nothing, but they seem to have got out of control a bit and I am sick of seeing them in the cupboard. I was going to slowly use them up this way, but honestly I am in maintenance mode (except for food to use up and digital decluttering to do) and so this could take a very long time. I frivolously put them all onto Buy Nothing as I thought they would be perfect for other people decluttering their wares onto eBay/Vinted etc. Thought there was a low chance anyone would want them, but got 2 people interested already. Not counted them up, but will add them to my totals if they come and collect.Did do some digital sorting out at work, but not counting that up since once my laptop is gone, it's gone! I need to get some stuff sorted and downloaded onto my home laptop such as payslips etc. Still got another month, but it's best to do it in bits as it is very dull!Digital:New total = 2,035
3 - photos deleted
53 - items deleted from wish list
Physical:
2 - DS tat binned
2 - freezer reusable bags I find too hard to use (Buy Nothing)

I had to be in the office today rather than my usual Tuesday, so took advantage of secure IT to do some digital decluttering. Over 1,000 sent / deleted emails now gone, and my digital payslips are all now saved in my cloud storage. I had noticed that some were missing going back to 2019 so had to download them from the NHS staff record site.
I'm planning a sort of my bedding next weekend - I have three sets but tend to use the same two, one of which I'm not terribly fond of. That one is on the bed so when I change the bedding on Saturday it will be washed & donated. I also have 2 identical Egyptian cotton sets that were from the former marital home. I left there almost 5 years ago, have used them just twice and the ex chose them (not to my taste!) so they can be hoicked out of the ottoman & donated too. I also need to test all the sheets for fit, as I have a deep mattress with a topper so some definitely don't fit.

Thanks for the medal Mrs SD 🙂
I hope no one minds that I've been sitting in the TLC carriage with my tablet removing old emails and photos, a aching hip meant a bad night sleep and I forgot to set the alarm last night 🫣 luckily the furry alarm clock woke me (I could have done without the face wash) but it was nearly 8.45am just as well I WFH 😴 I hate rushing I like a gentle start
one of my sisters has spent years on the family tree, I was a disappointment to her when she dragged me to Dorchester to look for family names in the Kingston Lacey estate records and I was more interested in the social history and the pencil margin notes from the estate managers rather than our family names I wasn't asked again!
