@Nannywindow. Thinking of you..
Hope every body is safe after the high winds.
Didn't do much yesterday except list things on e-bay. The ones I put on last week sold but I won't count them until they have been posted.
Today there are a few bits to add.
185-186 Bins emptied and recycling put out.
187 Yesterdays washing put away.
188-190. 3 keyrings made from craft stash.
191-195. Lots and lots of e-mails deleted and a lot unsubscribed. Seems never ending.
196. Handful of pens sent to the charity shop.
Stay safe every body.

A distant cousin of my mum's in America did her family tree right back to the man who left Lincolnshire and went to America on the ship after The Mayflower. Bruce was a renowned computing professor at Columbia & had the information published & bound in red hardback in 2003, known in our family as "The Book". My own family are in it - grandparents, parents, siblings, ex-husband & my sons.Brambling said:
one of my sisters has spent years on the family tree, I was a disappointment to her when she dragged me to Dorchester to look for family names in the Kingston Lacey estate records and I was more interested in the social history and the pencil margin notes from the estate managers rather than our family names I wasn't asked again!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

@vulpix I love art deco style things. You’d be better off putting it on eBay though as a quick search shows it could fetch several thousand if in good condition. Thank you for the medal 🥇 @Mrs_Salad_Dodger 💕
I have been a busy Fox tonight and decluttered the bottom two thirds of the cupboard of doom. Did fear for my life briefly when I opened it and a sleeping bag hit me in the head. I’ve not quite finished it yet, but I’ve made good progress and just have two small piles left to sort through. Two bin bags out, and the paperwork frog has been tackled. All paperwork sorted through, filed accordingly and a small bag for the confidential waste bin at work. I do seem to have more memory boxes than I realised; but as they all fit on one shelf I shan’t mind too much for the minute. I also managed to wrestle my wedding dress into a box, so it can go on the aforementioned shelf, and stack neatly ☺️Awarding myself 200 items out tonight, to include the tat thrown, papers thrown, frog munching, dress folding, and Vinted posting. Phew.Am rather glad it’s time for bed!❀ total debt at LBM 01/2023: £47,178.76 ❀ debt at highest point: £51,062.14 ❀❁ currently - £unknown ❁ emergency fund - £wiped out ❁⚜ £1600+ made on vinted since 2023 ⚜------------------------------------------------------------------------millenial hopecore at its finest ❧19 -
Hello all, I seem to have decluttered my sleep so I thought I would take the opportunity to thank everyone for their good wishes and kind words.
Hugs to the poorly ones and anyone struggling.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Whilst I was cooking the risotto cakes (in batches) I finished ring 2 & started on ring 3 of the hob. The warming gel packs for wearing on the motorbike all still work - I have used all of them tonight rather than turn the heating on 🥳 Now I just need to boil them up to get them from crystals back to gel. Wudupa.

Florafauna, how lovely to be able to declutter crafting materials to a youngster who will make good use of them 😊👏
Dfw38, that is good news that your DD is being referred 😊 Sorry to hear that you have succumbed to the lurgy 😔 Hopefully some time in the TLC Carriage will do you the world of good 😊
vulpix, sounds like you had a lovely time with bit_by_bit with the added bonus of a bit more decluttered 😊 You have done such a good job at your Mum’s house so I am pleased that the upstairs is almost done 👏 The bedroom suite sounds stunning 🤩 rather makes me wish I owned an older house with larger bedrooms 😔
Great decluttering QueenJess 👏 I do sympathise about the plastic bags - I would like to use them as rubbish bags but most of them have air holes near the bottom so are worse than useless 😔 I am keeping my fingers crossed that one of the two interested parties will turn up & collect them 🤞
Excellent digital decluttering Floss 👏 Good Luck with decluttering your bedding next weekend 🍀
Brambling, sitting in the TLC Carriage deleting emails is definitely not a problem - such a quiet task 😊 Such a lovely story - I must confess I would probably have joined you in reading the social history & margin notes 😊
Excellent decluttering ilovetea 👏 & good luck with this weeks listings 🍀
Floss, that is impressive 🤩 Although being of an age, when you described the red hardback book, I immediately thought of Eamonn Andrews & This is Your Life 😂
foxandflowers, it would be lovely if you & vulpix could sort something out re the bedroom suite 😊 That is some excellent decluttering foxandflowers 👏 you should definitely sleep well tonight 😊
nannywindow, sorry to hear that you have decluttered your sleep 😔 Sending some gentle cwtches 🤗 & I will try to find The Sandman & direct him your way.
I am getting through my book really quickly (hardback with large writing 😉) but I think there is too much to read if I want to have an earlier night 🤣

Hi all, my eyes are drooping and I haven't caught up yet but I will try to before I fall asleep
.
Bathroom bin and bedroom bin emptied, the kitchen recycling bin emptied twice as our wheelie bin was full so had a second bag hanging around but ln said I could put it in her bin as they are emptied tomorrow.. I caught up with my finances and banked some of the £2 I have been saving. I did not have many money bags but I picked up some more when I went to the bank so I will slowly get them all banked, they only take 10 bags a day
.I started the conversation with the tv provider about what I can't get that I should get and they will phone me back after 10 tomorrow to finish sorting it
, 3 loads of washing done but not dry yet.
I sorted through the odd sock bag and got 4 pairs reunited
and after a coffee with ln I batch cooked a load of veg into 8 portions of very tasty veg stew, I ate half a portion just to try it
so 8 meals in the freezer and veg rack cleared of wonky veg
.
Hugs to everyone who would like one
128 bathroom bin
129 bedroom bin
130 + 131 kitchen recycling
132 odd sock bag sorted
133 wonky veg turned into veg stew
134 money banked
Take care everyone

Started today well, as I unsubscribed from two mailing lists whilst lying in bed, drinking tea 🙂 It's my day off today 🙂
When I got home from work last night, I couldn't find my bin. I just have the lid 😬 I did think twice about putting it out at all yesterday, as I'm wasn't going to be around to get it back in again as soon as it was emptied. I'm going out in a few hours, I may find it rolling around in the road somewhere 🤞All bin finding vibes welcome
Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.
