@TC77 Worry not about the bags to come back to you. You have now mastered a new skill in sorting and getting stuff out. This will be so much easier for you to sort.
I managed to use up a box of Christmas cards from parents cards got posted in good time with the free stamps I had left as didn't post any last year. The box of cards is making its way out and space is appearing in the box where stored. I feel very organised about it too.
DH finally got the ruddy lining paper off the living room window and have got some temporary curtains up that look just fine. No decorating to be done yet or even next year unless I (will) win the battle and get someone in to get the job done. For now I am happy to see more light. Suffering from SAD it was really suffocating me, now I can breath.
Christmas is coming together and it really is for just one day, as my shifts with parents are Tuesday and Thursday.
Decluttering will recommence as soon as gifts are removed from the wardrobe. There will be another reshuffle of where items are to be rehomed in the loft. May need a trip to the I@ea store for a new bed that has storage underneath and that would put blankets in an appropriate place along with the bedding which has massively decreased. In the mean time in the rest of the house things having a place and being in place will all help.
Have a wonderful week, stay safe if driving any where and be kind in what ever we encounter.

@Liverpool_Anne - such sad news for you.
@Wednesday2000 - losing pets is hard - so sorry to hear your news.
I didn't post yesterday - the day just flew by and I am still suffering with a hacking cough and congestion.
Sales on V yesterday of £24.
Mr F was out for over 4 hours yesterday when it should have been a maximum of 2 - so I will be keeping a close eye on him.
Yesterday I was at SA - sorting donations and putting a table of bits outside. Sometimes people give me a donation when they take stuff. I have managed to work through the mountain of donations and nearly cleared it all.
It was the last food bank before Christmas - families got festive items with their usual food parcels.
After lunch I popped into town to collect my new glasses. When C heard that I was going to be in town - he asked me to get some keys cut. Nice man in Timps.. said it would be £19 but as it was SA - £15.
I gave C the invoices for Christmas selection packs and £1,000 from V sales.
My head teacher Dd dropped off leftover oranges from their Christingle service.
A local company had paid for a Christmas meal for staff but for some reason - they weren't going so C was giving out invites. It was a local hotel - C said would you and Mr F like to go out for dinner. A lot of our Ukrainian friends were there. We have had 2 Christmas dinners in two days.
Very tired when we got home.
Two of my daughters are having a spat and not talking - just texting. Their big sister is trying to sort them out as well as me. They were always the children who argued - so no different now they are 52 and 47!
I think the 47 year old is menopausal so very snappy. I am afraid I was awful when I went through the menopause.

Well life got in the way this year and I got nowhere near my predicted target. However we have done a huge tidy and clear out over the last 2 months.one bin bag of wallpaper thrown out along with 2 empty paint tins. I have cleared out another bin bag of crafting stuff by making cards from bits and sending stuff to various organisations to use ,+ waste bits to bin. Another bin bag full of clothes to charity shop + a bin bags worth of cardboard boxes torn up to recycling. I also turned a box and a couple of baskets into food hampers for a raffle so counting those as one more. Counting as 5. I will try much harder next year. The thing that I struggle with is actually throwing stuff out. I would prefer to upcycle, re-home or use up. Other things hang around and I have just got to realise that somethings do have to be thrown out. I do have a lot of odd socks though and have a friend who wants them them to make r rugs with.
Family are descending for new year so will try to really get going mid Jan.Merry Christmas everyone.

I had a day indoors.
Middle son called with grandson - kept a distance as his Fil is living with them and has cancer.
Next middle daughter arrived with granddaughter - again kept apart as her Fil has Leukemia.
Wrapped and labelled parcels which Mr F took into town.
Sales on V of £18 yesterday and £12 today.
The textile recycling chap came and we have empty crates so we can start over again. I am hoping that a lot of donations haven't arrived at SA since I was there yesterday.
Tomorrow is Church in the morning and a trip to a local panto in the afternoon.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

@Liverpool_Anne - It is always a shock when anyone dies suddenly even if it is expected. When it isn't, I think it is twice as hard. Hugs for your friend.
@Wednesday2000 - losing a pet is hard. It was good that the cat died at home among family. Many hugs for your family.
Roommate Di was in hospital overnight because of her cellulitis - started leaking all over. They think she is coming home later today, but I wish they would keep her - the leg looks terrible. Had to call the paramedics as I can't drive at night. Doing her jobs today (cat box, feeding cats in morning) plus her laundry so she would have a clean duvet when she comes home plus clean socks and trousers. Did this and then went to a Holiday get together of the Friends of the Library for lunch at a pizza !!!!!!, picking up one of the other board members on the way. Someone else took her home, so I took a sack full of requested items to Di at the hospital afterward, then went and picked up prescriptions. Since home, I have fed the cats and done the day's dishes.
I am trying to decide if I can get rid of the car as I really don't like to drive. But our local transportation system is so bad, so I am trying to figure out what we can do instead. Sometimes you can get somewhere - but you can't get home. Other times you have a wait of 1 hour between buses. And to get to my sister's house (30 miles from here), it takes two buses and two trains. Going through my calendar for last year and checking what we could do to get there and back (that "and back" stuff is important). Might give me some idea of how we can change things - shop once a month for most of the food and miscellaneous, have more delivered, use medical transportation (but they don't make detours to pick up prescriptions). At least I don't have to figure snow into the travel arrangements. Standing around with my walker in the snow probably wouldn't work too well. Sigh.
Just ignore our politics in America - we are.
Hope all of you are staying warm and dry.18 -
So sorry to hear sad news for so many people. Hugs and take care of yourself x16

@2Scratters thank you and I think you're right.
Forgotten what was on my list out from yesterday but about 5 things, had friends round tonight ( sat ) and did some cooking but they all brought things so my fridge is totally cluttered!
But before then 2 well ood ground almond gags out, 3 icing tubes , some unsubscribing ,
New total 1821.
Think I counted the bag dripped at cs yesterday.
Interesting tried top on tonight and immediately thought has to go, lovely shirt but collar not right for me. I'm sure it's been questioned before but then worn and in and out of wardrobe so new cs bag will be started!16 -

5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Saturday: Up slightly later than yesterday to an overcast damp day. The sun is noticeable by its absence 🙁 I received a call from my cousin R who has invited us over on the 27th - last chance to touch base with her brother & his partner who are returning to Australia on the 28th. Our Christmas plans are now firmed up: a quiet Christmas Day (just the 3 of us) then Boxing Day driving to DH’s niece S, staying overnight then Friday driving straight to R’s house. Rained this afternoon which has warmed the air to a high of 12°C. DH had a long soak late afternoon. Ordered in - burgers & fries. DSis still feeling unwell but did manage a chicken burger & a few fries. Another day of knitting & watching TV including my favourite version of Miracle on 34th Street (1947). Wudupa.
335 - 336 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
337 - 338 Kitchen & lr detritus - binned
P.S. thank you all for the lovely compliments about the baby blanket 😊
