Mrs SD well done. Superb blanket. I envy the knitters and crocheters. No talent at either. Have tried in vain but just can’t get the hang of it. Good job on the phone frogs Liverpool_Anne. I managed only 3 yesterday, but glad they are out of the way. DH out last night so did a quick kitchen tidy. Only did this last week but amazing how much detritus gathered on worktops. All clean and tidy again😃 All neighbour hand delivery cards out. Just 4 pressies left to be handed out. There’ll be a couple of emails to do for foreign rellies next week. Food shopping at Aldi tomorrow and Sainsbury’s on Monday and that’s me done. Sounds easy doesn’t it😂 Must keep telling myself it’s only TWO days and not lay in for a siege haha. Have a good day everyone17

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger - what a beautiful baby blanket 😍
Great work @Duchess2 you sound very well organised!
All the shopping of yesterday has me feeling overwhelmed. Most of it will go out again as presents but at the moment it feels like clutter. All the cards, which I love receiving, have been pegged up as they have come in. So many beautiful designs which I shall enjoy turning into bookmarks in the new year.16 -
daisy_1571 - good idea - thanks.
Mrs SD - lovely blanket.
I listed on V yesterday evening and didn't open my parcel.
I found the missing sold item this morning.
I took photos and wrapped parcels this morning.
I had a plan for the day in my head but - C phoned - could I pop to SA. I had planned to go there for an hour later but went along - Mr F joined me and we sorted donations. As usual - there longer than planned.
I put a table of bits outside as it was dry but a tad windy.
A parcel arrived for me - I had forgotten what I had ordered - a pink iron! Not just any old iron though - this one lifts up when you stop ironing.
Decided to get a bus to the shopping centre and then collected a parcel on the way home.
Called in at SA to take in the table and leftover bits - I had help as a group was waiting to use the hall.
Sales on V of £11.50 yesterday.

Good evening chums ,well today I had to go to the hospital to have a heart monitor fitted, Its got to stay on until Sunday, and I have to write all my activities down for the next few days.
I've had a heart condition since birth and I lived a good long life without too many problems. apart from the odd heart attack a few years ago
.But I have to have it checked regularly to see if its still behaving and apparently it was a bit out of sync so hence the monitor. Bit of a nuisance, but essential to make sure it's not going too fast or too slow.
My problem is am not good at taking things easy, as I have always felt better being busy. My cardio nurse is all for exercise in moderation but also says "I hope you are resting after shopping and activity "
I don't have time for sitting around I'm far too busy We have four of my grandsons coming this weekend to stay for a week and I must get the sausages rolls done, and a box of biscuits made as these lads have hollow legs and seem to feed constantly. I'm going to see if I can make brandy snap baskets as they seem to be sold out everywhere
My DD make the most delicious cheesecake filling with melted chocolate ov them. The boys aren't keen on Christmas cakes but a plate of her brandy basket stuffed chocolate cheese cakes vanish in seconds.
I also make cheese and leek sausage rolls, plus a sausage roll with a spicy kick of sweet chilli sauce to liven it up.
Tomorrow morning I hope to be up early and at the supermarket to get some ingredients
time enough for resting after New year when the house returns to normal and the tribe of lads have gone back to the mainland with lots of home made goodies.
My ribs are slowly healing but I'm not keen on the painkillers they give me a dreadful dry mouth and make you feel a bit light headed so I have to beg a lift of my son-in-law as I wouldn't chance driving just yet
I have been doing a great deal of paper decluttering and some odds and ends of ornaments I really don't need or have the space for
Right I'm closing now as I fancy a bit of a read before switching of the light
Night night God bless all here

I’m not sure how your family will manage to slow you down JackieO but I hope they succeed! Why not send your son-in-law with a list to get what you need? You can have a cup of tea and rest in preparation for the baking marathon. Your health will be their greatest priority. I can just imagine your cardio nurse gasping in horror when they read your activity diary.17

Hi all, bit of an unplanned hectic day yesterday. I went out on the hunt for a veggie turkey crown, supposed to be in ald1 yesterday. Not arrived yet apparently but the veg was 8p a bag so got some of that, even the things OH won't eat as I will batch cook a big pot of veg and mixed bean stew for the freezer. Other bits picked up, home with them, all put away and off to tosco to look for an alternative. More stuff picked up that is not sold in ald1 but no veg turkey alternative so off to asd where I got a quorn roast but that was all
. Home and put the second lot of shopping away. Called at the pharmacy but my meds were not ready. Then off to the bag wash. OH has a massive fleece blanket that needed a wash but it's too big for my machine so had to go to use the industrial size one. It can not be tumble dried so home with that, 2 LDFPA from the maiden and the blanket draped over, it will have to be rearranged today to make sure it is dry properly but it will be sorted today. Then back to the pharmacy to collect my meds. Also went to the bank to pay my cc bill. I managed 1 frog phone call and the bathroom bin, lr bin and kitchen recycling were emptied. After tea a bit more crochet
I think I am going to aim for 12 things to be made with yarn next year, I have things planned but just haven't done them so that might help me get on with them as well as declutter some of the yarn
@Mrs SD that blanket is beautiful, I love the way the yarn has self striped, you never know how it will look until it's knitted up do you
@Duchess2 detritus on kitchen worktops is the bane of my life. Sometimes I swear I must have pixies leaving stuff for me to clear 🤔
@Moorviews I felt quite overwhelmed with all the presents scattered around the lr but once I got them wrapped and bagged it felt better and quite a few have been delivered already so that made me feel much better. Hold on to the thought that they will mostly be gone in a few days
. Good plan for the christmas cards, I hope you can post a few pictures of the book marks
@London_1 please look after yourself, hugs
Right off for another cuppa and set up to tackle today's list
Hugs to everyone who would like one

decided nothing happening on decluttering front, so large box that hoarding with other smaller boxes crushed for recycling early this morning and adds to CS bag to drop off after work, santa sack (hopefully in time for someone to use), ring, jeans, skirt, storage box plus around 20 toiletry containers I wanted to use the boots recycling points but given up and just dropping off. Will add numbers when actually out, but having to force things out.
Have friends round tomorrow so will be tidying and cleaning tomorrow !14
