Decluttering some stress with the gas board or equivalent checking if there is a gas leak, put my head in the understands cupboard and smelt odd and then , well with a vivid imagination I could see my hiuse exploding.... one way to declutter.
Took bulky smallish rug to cs, was dd1s but she doesn't want it , added trousers still with label, and 6 pillow cases. Did find another pair of jeans, again never worn but have been round the house several times can't find them so will start another cs bag when I do!
Agree I awe of those who've managed to move .
Had all.clear no gas, very impressed how thorough the person was. Even going next door to check neighbours (not sure they were so impressed).
Going to put the kettle on now I can.16 -
I was asked on Wednesday evening if I would unlock the SA hall on Thursday - I did this at 8.45.
I went home to have a cup of tea and C phoned - it was his day off so in another county. £lan. had phoned him - got a delivery of the £1 selection packs - did he want them all - 416 - he said yes. C asked what my plans were for the day - could I go down and pay or maybe he could pay by phone so we didn't lose out on them.
I set off with my shopping trolley - I would need to make a few journeys - C didn't know when he would be available to collect them by car.
I got to the shop and paid £416 and was told - you can't possibly carry all those so a shop worker took me in his car.
When we unloaded at SA - I only had 15 cases - not 16 - chap asked me to work out on my phone calculator 15 x 26 - of course that is not going to be 416. So chap went back to the shop and returned with the missing case.
C was surprised when I told him that the selection packs were all in the food bank before 11 am.
When I got home - I wrapped and labelled parcels - Mr F took them into town - first time for 4 weeks.
I decided to test my back and laid out fabric for a large cushion cover and 4 standard size. I used the walking foot on my sewing machine as it was faux velvet. First sewing for months.

I think the cushions will look lovely on Dd's new green sofa.

TC that is a bit extreme to blow your house up in the hope of de cluttering.
Florenceem, very pleased so see you have done some crafting. I love that fabric. A friend of mine has completely transformed some very tatty dining chairs by covering the seats in similar fabric and painting the chairs black. Fab that Mr F is out and about again.
We have had craft club again. One of the ladies is so lacking in confidence. I do hope she keeps coming as I think it will do her good to accomplish something. She is so very disparaging about herself, I really don't like to hear it.
Mrs SD, it is nice to get an unexpected parcel, I had one too this week.

Today was a busy day. Di and I went to the public library for the book sale and worked on making sure the carts got out as well as the toys and puzzles for just an hour. Left for my Knitting and Crocheting class where I worked on my tiny chicken and the straps for the bag for a Christmas present. Then stayed at the same location (the Senior Center) where Di's chime choir was performing for the Senior Holiday Luncheon. They served lasagna for lunch plus salad, roll, and a slice of pumpkin pie. Somehow we also ended up with a dozen gingerbread cookies that came home with us. We then went back to the book sale and moved books around to the proper carts (from our Not-Yet-Sorted Carts) until the sale officially ended. We still had people shopping even as the carts were rolled into the back room. We won't find out till later how much was made. While at the book sale, I found three presents for Christmas and birthdays (only one is a book, the other two are a dinosaur print and a china girl - only cost me 75 cents (which Google says is about 59 pence) for all of them. The book is a huge book with aerial pictures of Mexico City and the person I am buying presents for the Christmas is from Mexico City and has family there. I will add it to the other presents that I have for her. We had a lot of extra items this month. We have a large box of valentine stuff for next month already like candles. At this rate I will finish most of my shopping by next week. Saw the red sky on the way home so should be good weather tomorrow.
Hope you are getting better with the broken ribs JackieO. I have done that to. Only bones I have broken so far. Usually I just sprain everything. Glad you are enjoying your new sitting room.
Hope everyone with health problems is getting better. Keep warm and dry.

Only a partial success for DH - he dropped DSis’s ood meds off but the barber was closed. Whilst he was out I wrote a shopping list as he & DSis were going to sm. He got back & had enough time to have a leisurely coffee before he & DSis set off to sm. Whilst they were out I wrapped their presents, wrote the cards ready for hand delivery on Sunday, tidied up various bits of recycling which I hadn’t been able to put in the wheelie bin previously & tidied up my supply of Christmas wrapping paper. I also did some knitting & have started using the 2nd 100g ball of yarn for the baby blanket.
287 - 290 Newspaper, booklet, cardboard box, paper packaging - recycled
291 Plastic packaging binned
We had fish, oven chips & peas for dinner. Wudupa.

295 Kitchen detritus binned
Wow, you certainly were busy on Wednesday, Florenceem 👏 Very pleased to hear that MrF managed a trip to SA & that everyone was pleased to see him 😊 Also nice to hear that E has temporary accommodation 🙂 even if the location is not entirely suitable for a person who uses a stick 😔 Just noticed that MrF had a 2nd trip out, just great to hear that he was feeling so much better on Wednesday 😊 I see that your V sales are ticking along nicely 👏
Liverpool_Anne, another of our declutterati family who had a busy Wednesday 👏 Thank goodness for your calm & measured reaction to your DSis’s news. Sending lots of positive vibes her way. A bit of a shame that your DSis is using WhatsApp rather than actually speaking to the family but at least she is letting them know this time around 😮💨 Lovely cheerleading as usual & I am still blushing from such a lovely compliment ☺️
Excellent decluttering on Thursday GrannyKate 👏 I hope you managed to get your frogs dealt with 🤞Good luck with your Christmas shopping & your hunt for a new to you car 🍀
TC77, big cat was obviously out trying to get you a Christmas present 😂 More great decluttering especially as you can now see some of the dining table 👏
vulpix, oops to the knitting 🙊 Good job I wasn’t knitting it as it probably would have ended up more like 82” - I knit very loosely 😉 The winter parade looks absolutely marvellous 😊 I do hope the weather was kind. I trust Fomo is behaving with the Christmas tree 🤞
Lovely to see you Happy_Kitties 👋 Sorry to hear that you have been suffering from the rather nasty lurgy that is doing the rounds 😔 Excellent decluttering 👏 & looking forward to seeing you reaching your target 😊
weenancy sorry to hear that you are still coughing 😔Hope the book sale went well 🤞 & I hope that the weather stays fine for Sunday 🤞
Just noticed the time so I am off to bed 😉 Sleep tight everyone 😴

Hi all, not sure where the day went yesterday but 1 LDFPA and another load onto the maiden
, the kitchen recycling was emptied and 4 gifts delivered. I am beginning to be able to see floor space in the lr at last
. Did some crochet when I got home
We were out for tea and I bumped into an ex colleague, a youngish man, who is due to become a dad to a little girl on St. Patrick's day so that was lovely news
@Vulpix great news about Mr V, glad you enjoyed Chester
. I went to Chester Christmas market a good few years ago and it was the best Christmas market I have been to, I remember a lovely stall selling amber at very reasonable prices
. I hope the bun fight tomorrow goes well
. I hope the lady at craft club does well
@Mrs SD I think I have sorted out the fountain pen but if it continues to misbehave I will treat myself to a new one in the sales.
@TC77 glad you got the all clear
@Florenceem great to see you doing some crafts and I am sure your DD will love them
@weenancyinAmerica what a busy day. I am really looking forward to seeing the chicken
Right off to the footy later but I have another load swishing so I better get that sorted before I go and see what else I can get done.
Hugs to everyone who would like one

1870 kitchen recycling
1871 - 1874 gifts delivered

Finally managed to sort an admin tyrannosaurus rex! When we moved in (4 years ago!) Our gas wasn't connected to our account. I have tried various things, and had various stretches of time when I simply could not be bothered dealing with it.
But it is finally all connected and we are now paying for our gas. It has come with a back bill of £1200 😱 but for 4 years usage that's actually not unreasonable.
I'm so glad it's finally sorted!14 -

Saturday is another dull dark damp day. DH is up as he managed to book an appointment with the barber for noon today. I have my first cuppa & am settling down to the cheerleading. DH headed off at 11:40. DH was back by 12:30 - newly shorn. The sun has finally put in an appearance (12:45) DH made himself a bacon sandwich as he missed out on breakfast. I do so love the smell of bacon being cooked 😋

London_1, how marvellous that your new sitting room is finally completed 🥳 It sounds like all you need to do now is start populating it with your favourite ornaments (although it does seem that you have already decided that a lot of items will be donated) which should mean that the last of the boxes in your room will soon be emptied 😊 Pleased to hear that your recent purchase is so comfortable & that the pain meds are finally kicking in 😮💨 A Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way for your son-in-law - he is one in a million 🥹
Lovely post Moorviews 😊 Sorry to hear that your energy levels are so low 😔 but very well done on marshalling your reserves & getting so much done 👏 I am very impressed with your sort out of the food storage cupboard so am awarding you a medal 🏅
GrannyKate, sounds like you are almost fully settled in (in less than a month 🤩) & almost ready for Christmas 😊 Always nice to get quotes that are cheaper than anticipated 🥳 Good luck dealing with the newly acquired frogs 🍀 I have every sympathy with you on the car buying front 😔…… that is why I left it to my DH & my DSis to buy our car 😂 They had a great time & did a grand job - the car is very comfortable & they both enjoy driving it 👏
Liverpool_Anne, a busy Thursday 👏 Sounds like you have a lovely couple of days planned & well done on factoring in some rest time 😉 Wonderful cheerleading as usual ☺️ I must confess to a love of champagne flutes although I now only have 4 of the 6 I started with due to breakages 😔 but then again there are only 3 of us in the house 😅
Lovely post vulpix 😊 Shame that the Winter Watch Parade seemed depleted but it sounds like you still had a wonderful time ☺️ This “I have had broken ribs. Mine tell the weather forecast for me these days!” brought a rueful grin to my face 🤨 Although I would say that your ribs are probably more accurate than most weather forecasters 😉
Great decluttering Pennypincin 👏 As you have been consistently decluttering over the course of the year I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ Good luck with Mission Tidy 🍀
TC77, a rather extreme way to declutter 😂 so I am very relieved to hear that you have been given the all clear 😮💨 More excellent decluttering 👏 please don’t forget to update your overall number 😉
Florenceem, another busy day at SA 👏 I was very pleased to read about such excellent customer service 🥳 So lovely that a company still maintains good old fashioned customer service - as sadly this nowadays appears to be the exception rather than the rule 😔 So pleased to hear that MrF is definitely on the mend 🥹 That fabric is beautiful 😻 I do hope that you will honour us with pictures of the finished cushions 🙏
vulpix, sorry to hear about the lady who has no confidence 😔 Hopefully with your gentle guidance she will gain confidence & be a regular attendee at craft club 🙏
weenancy, sounds like the book sale went very well 🥳 However what pleased me most was that you stepped back from doing all the work that you usually do 🥹 Hope you are keeping well & that the red sky did foretell a lovely day’s weather 🤞
Liverpool_Anne, your Friday might have gone by quickly but you did get quite a bit done 👏 Lovely cheerleading 😊 Fingers crossed for a good footy result 🤞
Brie, I love the reasoning behind ‘cluttering’ 😂 I do hope it works & that you can get fully immersed in “ebaying some of the tat priceless items we have about the homestead.” 🤞
Foofoopuppy, a testament to your perseverance & congratulations on sorting out your 4 year old “admin Tyrannosaurus rex” 🥳 Such perseverance deserves a reward, so one Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way 😊
All caught up so I suppose I ought to at least do something today 😉 Wishing everyone as good a day as possible 🙂
