Today was friendship/lunch club and a very busy day.
I was sorting donations in the foyer as well as answering the door. I put a table outside and filled it with items. I had to keep taking more stuff outside as people were taking bits quickly - I put 2 children's bikes out - they went and some dressing up clothes.
I had cds in my garage from my daughter and knitting magazines someone had given to me so they went round in the trolley which Mr F wheeled.
Everyone was pleased to see Mr F back at SA.
I delivered a dinner and pud to an elderly lady.
A homeless elderly lady E was being put in temporary accommodation - she needed someone to go in the taxi with her to carry bags. I got that job - it was quite a walk from where the taxi dropped us as the road was closed to traffic. The air b n b was up 4 flights of stairs - the owner had a bad shoulder so couldn't help and E walks with a stick so I was up and down the stairs then I walked back to the SA. Done 12,500 steps today.
I wrapped parcels when I got home and Mr F took them into town - he is a lot better today.
Tonight was singing group - no practice next week - we finished with tea and mince pies.
I have listed on V tonight.
Sales yesterday - £14.50 and £20 today.

Hi all, the day started well as I went to the post office and decluttered 2 parcels and all the cards plus used stamps I already had for them all except 1 for France
. Then on to the cs with 7 items but the cs was closed again. Sign said open 10 - 4 but it wasn't
so they are still in the car boot.
Then off to a large out of town shop to get some gluten free treats for OH's dsis. I had done quite a large online order for delivery but when I came to book a slot there was quite a few things that were out of stock so cancelled the order and went to scour the shop. Eventually got enough to make a reasonable treat gift.
As I was coming in the door got a phone call from my dsis. She phoned to tell me that she hadn't been well and after a visit to the gp had been referred to a cardiac specialist. She had booked an appointment online for February, the first available, but had got a call this morning to say come in today. This sent her into a bit of a panic but she did go. He thinks she might have a problem with one of her heart valves so sent her for a scan and will see her again within 3 months, probably her original appointment. Then she will either be treated with medication, have a stent fitted or have the valve replaced depending on what shows up on the scan. She was still a bit anxious but I managed to talk her down, everyone gets stressed when they don't know what is going to happen but it is being sorted and I said all these ops are routine now so I was sure she would be fine. Then she asked if she should tell the kids. Some of you may remember the drama last year when she had a massive argument with dniece which was partly about her not dealing with a health issue and not letting her children know she was ill. Oh yes I said tell them. They will find out at some point and dniece will go ballistic if you keep it from them until you're walking out of the hospital after heart surgery! Honestly I could hardly believe she was actually asking me! She said she would put a message on the family WhatsApp. I did suggest a phone call might be better but WhatsApp it is
. I also said if they were worried to let me know and I would let them know I had spoken to her and she was ok. Dnephew will be there for Christmas so he will also be able to reassure dniece and nothing will be resolved for a couple of months anyway. After that I needed a cuppa
.
The rest of the afternoon was spent wrapping and bagging presents. OH got home and asked if I would book a covid jab as the only one available seemed to be Saturday, one of OH's busiest work days, at a place in a very busy part of town with no parking so I went online and booked it for tomorrow at a pharmacy just along the road. OH had just followed the link from the text to say book one rather than going to the vaccination booking site, anyway all sorted
@Vulpix I can't do much with my hair either,. I never have
. Even when I was young I cba to faff about with styling it. I am nearly white now. When I was working I used to say to the kids it was their fault, I didn't have a grey hair until I taught them
. I remember showing a lad a picture of me before I was so grey and he said you need to get some colour on that hair! I nearly fell off my chair laughing
. I did colour it green once when one of the kids near shaved my head for children in need but it was so short it didn't last long
@Siebrie I think I like your govt. As @Floss said it might be a good idea to put the reimbursement money somewhere safe,
. Can you check on the bank statements to see if there is anything obvious you might have missed?
@Mrs SD I woke up before I got into the housebut the way it was going that is probably what would have happened
. Thank you for my medal
. You deserve more than one gold star just for keeping up with all the cheerleading
@weenancyinAmerica, thank you for the suggestionI will give it a try
@regnbue great fleabaying
@QueenJess your poor DD, I felt dreadful when I had chicken pox, hope she picks up soon, hugs
@TC77 yes sometimes it is good to remember how lucky we are to have more than enough
@Florenceem good news Mr F has recovered enough to be out and about. I bet he was very pleased to see everyone again after being housebound for so long
Right going to sleep now so hugs to anybody who would like one
1849 & 1850 parcels posted
1851 cards and stamps
1852 covid jab booked for OH
Take care everyone

Quick early morning post before small people wake up (not so small now). A few frogs to do this morning so will crack on once I have taken them to school. Only went to small SM yesterday but still seemed to spend a lot but two thirds of Christmas stuff done now. I wandered round garden and found a few more bits to take to tip.
1715 Damaged pipe left behind by plumber to tip
1716 Broken wooden bird table found in garden to recycling
1717 Paper to recycling
1718 Plastic to SM recycling
1719 Three tops to CS bag
1720 Dropped off bag at CS
1721 Random collection in car taken to tip/recycling depot
1722 Last of December (non Christmas cards) posted - I've started buying January ones
Lovely Christmas card (1st in your new home) from neighbour. Not spoken to anyone much except this neighbour (I've known him some years) but people have waved. Lots of people have viewed empty bungalow next door but I think it needs even more work than mine. Lots of Christmas lights have appeared around the area. I think I am doing Christmas shopping with DS2 and DGS4 on Saturday - he can drive and park! We may also look at some cars - mine is on its last legs. (or is that wheels) - he will enjoy looking at cars.
Right time to get a move on. Hugs to all who need one.2025 Decluttering Campaign 733/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Went to bed early this morning waiting for big cat to come in, and up early with him.back a little while ago.
Mrs SD again so grateful for all your cheerleading and hopefully off reaching my target. This year I haven't counted frogs but have included digital declutter which is in dire need. Thousands of emails and photos with my phone v slow and always saying problem with storage so will try and do some over the festive time.
I am.counting replacements which next year may not.
The huge removal container lorry ( not van) is still outside my neighbours. They are moving from a 2 bed flat!
Old toilet brush out , as have new and even I can't keep this for 'best'.
Just gone through hall drawers brought from.my dads ahd found left over Xmas cards I couldn't find so clearly was ahead of myself in November.
Also to textile recyling old leather writing case , very soft and kept thinking could be used for something if taken apart but out and old glasses cloth and some digital stuff on phone so 1809.
Glad Mr F on rhe mend, and wishing others speed recovery and glad to hear those in new homes settling in and getting things sorted.
So nice to wake up to tidIER kitchen and able to see part Imof dining table.

Your poor little girl Queen Jess. Here's hoping she is all better for Christmas.
I have spent the best part of a week diligently knitting the back of a jumper for DS. I got to the neck and thought this looks a bit big. I had used the wrong size needles and it would have been a 72" chest. That ought to teach me to pay more attention!
I am off to yoga, then Mr V has an oncology appointment then we are off to Chester for the Winter watch parade. I know you will look it up Mrs SD. I have been going 20 years, it is the start of Christmas for me. The weather forecast is for a fine evening too. I love it all, but I enjoy the Samba band best. I was in a Samba band for many years, my instrument of choice is a tambour, initially because it was easy to walk with in a parade!

Floss said:Siebrie said:Now I have to collect all the invoices that were related to school trips from both dds for the last 2 years, as - apparently - I can get partial reimbursement from our health care insurance. Why didn't I know about this earlier?
Yes, reimbursements already go to my Dutch account (I'm in Belgium), which is linked to a broker's account (is that the right name? I buy shares through a fund) in my name only.

I’ve not posted since the middle of November, time has gone too fast.
like everyone else I’ve had the lurgy- cough and cold doing the rounds I’ve found hard to shift. Also lots of Christmas jollies, by the time I come home I need to rest for a few days as I can suffer from fatigue quite bad. The last of my Christmas parcels posted today, so happy. I always say I will be ready by the 1st December and some presents did go out early, this year has seemed quite the slog. Tree up but still not decorated, hopefully will finish tonight.
478)-479) parcels x 2 with presents/ packaging used up, sent today.
480) glass x 1 smashed by the cats
481)-487) Dun elm Bags of Joy delivered
488)-494) items x 7 to CS.

@vulpix - I have a black and white cat also, your kitty looks very handsome. I was wondering if you bought the snowflakes or made them. I am looking for a pattern for snowflakes that is different from the one I usually use. I like your tree.
I'm still coughing especially when I talk for more than 1 minute. We are still getting ready for the book sale tomorrow and went over today to fill up the shelves in our regular book store. Need to work on the layout of the book store, but will do that next year.
I'm going to my sister's open house on Sunday. Last year she only had 23 trees up (8 full-sized, 6 5-ft, 4 3-ft, 5 1-ft trees) in addition to all sorts of other things like creches and nutcrackers. Lots of goodies as the neighbors come and all seem to bring something to the event.
I hope the storm that is hitting the Northeast right now isn't headed your way. Good luck and stay warm.15 -

Thursday: what a difference a day makes - it is dark (12:30) & drizzly ☹️ The good news is that the full to the brim large recycling wheelie bin has been emptied (no collection last week 😠) but the bad news missed the postman who was delivering packages for my DSis. More good news, I finally grabbed a bag & transferred more food from the garage to the kitchen freezer 😉 Before I settle down to catch up on the cheerleading I intend to relax & do a bit of knitting - have set the timer for 30 minutes….. knock on the door - the postman came back & delivered DSis’s packages 🥳 So much for only knitting for half an hour 🙊 Although in between the knitting DH & I finished the hm soup. DSis has had a bath & is hopefully feeling a bit better……… I carried on knitting, watching TV & napping. DH made cheesy pasta for dinner 😋 Wudupa. It did rain on & off all day ☹️

Lovely to see you SuperLooperSaver 👋 Some good decluttering 👏 although I am wondering what your current total is 🧐 as you might be entitled to an award or two 😉Congratulations on finding a house to buy 🥳 I take it that your first order of business when you move in is to remove the bathroom carpet 😂
