Hi all, very poor decluttering day yesterday. The car did pass it's MOT needing only 3 bulbs replacing, 2 indicator bulbs and the rear number plate bulb, I don't check these things very often
. Also an advisory for the brake pads. There was some confusion in the office between the 2 ladies working in there about the number of bulbs that had been replaced and a shouted conversation with the mechanic who simultaneously had his head in another car and a mobile phone conversation going on
. Anyway I paid for 4 bulbs and then was told to check with the mechanic, the boss, about how long before the brakes would need to be done. He then said I had been over charged as it was only 3 bulbs and sent the lady into the office to get the card machine and gave me a refund for 1 bulb with many apologies. The young lady was also most apologetic but it was what she had said all along, the other lady had insisted it was 4
. I was impressed with the boss's honesty and will definitely use them again. Anyhow I have about 1000 miles left on the brakes and as I only do about 5000 miles a year now I don't have the daily commute to work I have some time to sort that out. I will book it in in the next month or so. Overall I was quite happy with this as my car is over 14 years old and apart from the usual tyres and exhaust etc has only had 1 big problem when the drive belt snapped since I bought it new so it's doing ok
. Apart from that all I did was empty the bedroom bin. I have been feeling a bit off for the past couple of days. I put this down to a couple of nights poor sleep but have realised this morning that I have had some sort of infection, slight fever and no energy and I have been walking around in a t shirt while OH has been complaining about feeling cold
, but OH is always could
. No other symptoms apart from being lethargic but today I have woken late feeling a bit more myself and after 2 days of rain have spotted that today is dry so a load swishing
so let's see what else I can get done today
We have decided to try to get a couple of days away and are looking at somewhere in the lakes. I have found a cabin thing near Ulverston similar to where we went earlier in the year with a hot tub. OH is particularly keen on this and as we both like the lakes it seems like a winner. We are thinking of 4 nights which will be a nice treat
There is something odd happening with this post and I am worried it is going to be lost so I will quickly post now
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Take care everyone

Flowerpot and Oceanspirit, I am glad you are listening to your body. X
Many Happy returns Deni xxx Have a great train trip. Does it include a lovely meal on board?
We have sold a piece of furniture that I acquired and stashed at Mum's. Only listed it last night. £100 kerching. As I said, call me Delboy. Nothing at Mum's now, other than the box of rocks.
I emailed the potential purchaser of Mum's house yesterday. She said there would be an answer soon. It's a bit complicated but keeping my fingers crossed. She would be buying on behalf of someone else. She is sorting the finance out.
Next weeks weather forecast is for fine weather. Stepson may have time to come up and help with the shed. Trouble is as well as work, a girlfriend, an all consuming hobby of tinkering with cars he has treated himself to a motorbike for his Birthday just gone. I am hoping the draw of some country roads will entice him up here. He is loving the bike and wishes he had had one much sooner. Better late than never.
I have made a new to do list. Some things are easy like buy wool, others like renew driving licence are turning into elderly frogs. There are 11 things on the list, I will set myself a target of at least one a week on Frog Fridays.
Mrs SD, I will post a pic that I took the other day of the table head board. Photo does not do it justice. It is the same make as the bedroom furniture and I think it works well. I just couldn't find a head board that I liked but it looked odd with just a bare wall. I am keeping the table legs as you never know, we might live somewhere with room for a table one day. I am so chuffed that I was able to get the heat marks off the table top.
I don't actually think WeeNancy's room mates would enjoy living with me.They would be quickly asking for WeeNancy back!
We are off to Bury market again to buy wool. I bought wool last week and made DGS a jumper. His Dad likes it so much that he has asked me to knit him one. I haven't made DS a jumper since he was about 3.
Oh, the manageress of the charity shop txt me last night. She has listed the Cabbage patch dolls online for £20 each or the lot for £150. Not bad for me buying them at 50p from car boot sales. like I said Delboy.

Wednesday is an overcast but currently dry day, long may it last 🤞 I did better today as I was up & dressed at 11:05 🙂 DH has been a busy bee - zizzed peelings for the worms, filled bird feeders & strimmed the back ‘lawn’ (I am using this term very loosely 😅) & cut down the peony foliage to ground level. Both wheelie bins emptied this morning.
Mrs_Money_Penny, sounds like you had a lovely time ☺️ just a shame that you came home with an unwanted memento 😔 I do hope you are fully recovered 🤞Excellent work with the digital decluttering 👏 As you have jumped from 7k+ to over 9k I am awarding you 2 Gold Stars ⭐️⭐️ Good luck emptying the freezer 🍀
Excellent decluttering Happy_Kitties especially the ‘Bags of Joy’ 👏
~FlowerPot~ I do hope DH is taking care of you in between selling ‘stuff’ 😉 You definitely need more rest & to build yourself up before you go back to work 🙏 After all none of us want you back in hospital again 😔 & I imagine that is the last thing you want 😉 Very MSE using proceeds from sales to overpay your mortgage 👏
More excellent work Florenceem 👏 Hopefully you will find more ‘treasures’ when sorting out the donations 🤞
Excellent & eclectic decluttering Pennypincin 👏
Florenceem, a marvellous production line 😊 Hopefully your DD’s donations will sell quickly 🙏 It does sound like MrF is doing well & keeping fit with all these visits to the CS 😊
Lovely post dND 😻
Excellent decluttering Pennypincin 👏 Reminds me that I should check our pillows 😉
Excellent work suzeesu2000 👏 About time I made an award as you are doing so well - a medal 🏅 is on its way 😊
BudgetingBelinda, I love it “a pottering of decluttering” As you are being so successful with this strategy I am awarding you a medal 🏅
oceanspirit, sorry to hear about the fatigue 😔 Please rest & do pop into the TLC Carriage 🙏 Good luck ‘nudging the frog’ 🍀
London_1, sounds like DGS Danny is kept busy 🤩 I am wondering if I am correct in thinking that in America annual leave is only 10 days? which would make a holiday across the pond quite fraught 🤔 Hope you have a great drive out with DGS Jack 😊 Love that each time someone visits you manage to find some useful item/s to declutter to them 👏😊
Excellent work decluttering paper & soft plastics Deni_debt-free_dreamer 👏 Belated birthday greetings 🎂 🥳 🥂 Welcome to the 60’s Club 😊
Liverpool_Anne, yippee to your car passing its MOT with minimal expense & only having the one advisory 🥳 You are obviously looking after your car 😊 Sorry to hear that you have been feeling unwell 🤒 Please take the time to recover completely so that you can thoroughly enjoy your mini break later in the year 🙏
vulpix, the ‘headboard’ looks wonderful 😻 After such successful sales you have definitely earned the nickname Del Boy 😊 Fingers crossed that your Mum’s house sells soon 🤞Fingers crossed that Stepson does have time to visit & help with the shed 🤞 Please can you let him know that now he is a motorbike rider he should treat ALL other drivers as if they are complete idiots 😉 (words of wisdom from my DH 😅) Weenancy’s roommates do need a reality check though & if you reminded them that you would be back each time that they lapsed into bad ways it might make weenancy’s life easier 😉 Fingers crossed that the Cabbage Patch dolls are all snapped up 🤞 I imagine vintage dolls are more desirable than newer ones 🥳
TC77, shame about little cat’s method of assisting you in decluttering 😔 Good luck with your bedroom decluttering & tidying 🍀
All caught up 🥳 DH & DSis have gone pumpkin & sweet treats shopping & I am off to the CS at last 😉 Hope everyone is having as good a day as possible 🙂

Well Monday was a successful move it along, make money, as I sold an item on ebay yay!!
Chuck it out Tuesday worked a bit too. 2 pairs of leggings gone into the bin, extra anything went into the general waste bin as was being collected and there was space in the bin.
No Wednesday weeding it out but replaced with work some more on clutter outI am determined to get at least 1 item onto ebay today.
Giving myself a wobble to get stuff done is on

@Deni_debt-free_dreamer - congratulations on your big birthday 🎉 Enjoy the steam train 😊@Florenceem - lovely to see you again but I am sorry to hear that you are struggling with your back. You are amazing in how much you achieve for the SA.@2Scratters and @vulpix - thank you for your comments; I can relate to what you both say about writing and journaling. And Vulpix that headboard looks great!@Mrs_Salad_Dodger - well done this morning 😊 It’s very hard to change sleep patterns.@Liverpool_Anne - it’s great that your car passed. Mine is the same and needs new brake pads at the next service.Yesterday, I was on a mission to create a space in the bedroom for my yoga practice. I surprised myself by succeeding despite making a rule for myself that I could not relocate things into other rooms. They are full enough already 😂 Some shifting of furniture and letting go of some stuff meant that I have a floor space big enough. I used it this morning and it felt great! I need to find a container for my props but there will be something that I have somewhere already, or I shall make something if not. I now have a full bag for the CS too.It fired me up and I have emptied another big file and started on another. All the poorly people please look after yourselves properly and prioritise your rest as you need. You will come back stronger for it.Thank you everyone for all the inspiration on fab decluttering as always.9

Sorted through my little bag of paperwork. I have saved it up for far too long so, this morning, I emptied everything out and went through every sheet. Checked I had paid the cheques in and then shredded them, sorted rubbish that just needs account numbers shredded and binned other bits. Bag is now less than half full and should only take a few hours to scan and file. Will work out nicely as my friend is due next week to collect our newspapers for her rabbit rescue where she uses it for bedding, she can have the shredded stuff too. Also sorted some more for tomorrows charity shop collection. Four China vases, an ornamental teapot, a little trinket pot with lid, four decorative bottles and five polystyrene rounds for crafting still in original packets. Cant wait for it all to go tomorrow.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal
