Here as soon as I sort out one bag of stuff - I get given another.
My youngest Dd is on half term and having her flat decorated so is decluttering to me - in case I can raise funds for SA.
Anything that I can't sell - Mr F takes to the charity shop. Mr F has just gone out again - I can see him needing new shoes soon with the amount of mileage he is doing.
A friend is calling later to give me a Joe Brow. coat and an M & . one - hopefully they will sell.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Welcome back @Florenceem, we were all worried about how you and Mr F were doing. Real life does have this habit of taking over doesn't it. I hope the back pain subsides soon and wow! with all the sales. xxAiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget

I've also got rid of 2 double summer quilts that were no good.
I will need to replace them, but it can wait until I need them.
I will more than likely need to replace the winter double quilt but will see how it goes.
I will need to dispose of most of the pillows soon as 2 are beginning to fall apart plus 3 are rather mis shaped/lumpy and beginning to be no good.
Fortunately I have a pair that are new in the packaging, but am tempted to invest in 1 pair more, but will hold off for the time being.Decluttering campaign 2023

Nothing staggeringly major decluttering wise but a pottering of decluttering happening daily. Flowchart questions asked.. do I want it, do I need it, do I use it, if no- bin/rehome, recycle, if yes.. where should it live? Few corners that collect clutter are on my hit list before heading back to work next week. Also a bit of an organise tomorrow as visitor’s incoming and spare room is a place of displaced things atm, nothing too major but will be great to spend an hour tomorrow sorting and rehoming things.Emergency Fund: 1000/2000April Grocery Challenge: 150/550

Tuesday is another dark damp dreary day. Up late again 😔 I really must try harder to regulate my sleep pattern 😱 as I was up late again. Pottered about a bit emptying bins & tidying. DH went for his walk @ 17:00. Dinner tonight will be cottage pie with cabbage.
1909 Lr detritus binned
nannywindow, excellent work in the garden by both you & your DH 👏 Such a shame about the blackberry bush 😔 DSis & I have yet to watch The Voice final - another programme that we are rapidly going off 😉 Half the time the audience drowns out the singers 😠
~FlowerPot~ so sorry to hear that you ended up back in hospital 😔 Pleased to hear that your DH has been more considerate this time even though it took a 2nd stay in hospital 😔 Please rest & recuperate 🙏
London_1, fingers crossed that you find the duvet cover & the jeans 🤞No doubt you will find them in the very last box you open 😉
Great decluttering oceanspirit 👏
vulpix, that must have been very frightening 😟
~FlowerPot~ not silly at all - remember you would not have been hospitalised if it wasn’t serious 😔 I will keep everything crossed that the Trigeminal neuraglia goes quickly 🤞🙏
TC77, loving the cat stories 😊 What a lovely compliment - I am blushing ☺️ Excellent decluttering 👏 I do think that we all do a lot better with our decluttering when we know we are not alone 😊 We have so many members of our Declutterati Family who are so inspirational especially when they offer advice, ideas & more often than not solutions 🥳 We will ALL get there - some more quickly than others but with the same end result - tidier, clutter free homes & time to spend doing the things we love 🥰 Whether it be crafting, spending time with family & friends or even going on holiday safe in the knowledge that we are coming back to a home we love 🥹 Keep up the good work getting ready for your friend’s visit 👏
London_1, lovely post 😻
Excellent decluttering 2Scratters 👏 Hope you had a very successful “move along move it out, make money day” yesterday 🙂
Well I have finally made a start but the timer is just about to go off for dinner 😉 See you later ……….. hopefully 😉

Had fatigue yesterday so nothing done and went to friend's house today for lunch so nothing done, except nudged a frog along on the way back.
Tomorrow I need to tidy up a bit as I don't put things away properly when fatigued - hopefully will find some things to get rid of in the process. Will nudge the same frog along a bit more now I have got the ball rolling.
Cancelled the next vegbox as we're doing well at emptying the freezer ready for defrosting and will be eating out a couple of times next week. Continuing to catch up with tins and packets.

vulpix, sounds like a lovely visit 😻 good company & great food 😋 Congratulations on being in Maintenance Mode 🥳 but also well done on continuing to find the odd item to declutter 👏 My view on Minimalism is that it can ‘feel & look’ rather cold 😔 Good luck with the storage shed 🍀 Interesting idea to swap houses with weenancy - you could get some sun & warmth & at the same time bring her roommates into line 😉 Any chance of a photo of the new bed head 🙏
Lovely cheerleading Liverpool_Anne 😻 Great decluttering as well 👏 You were rather busy on Sunday & Monday 👏 I am still trying to create enough space in the freezers to be able to defrost one then the other 😉 Your comments about your original Big To Do list rang a very loud bell 😅 mine is always too vague 😉
nannywindow, there might be hope for your DGS, my DH grew to 6’2” by the time he was 15 then stopped 😉 although he did have a schoolmate who carried on until he was 6’10” which of course makes clothes buying problematic 😉
Excellent decluttering suzeesu2000 👏 Always gratifying when you know your donations will be well received 😊
Excellent decluttering Moorviews 👏 It might not be as enjoyable as yoga & sewing, but when it is done you will feel so much ‘lighter & happier’ ☺️ It does sound like the ‘reflective journals’ have done their job so nothing wrong with reminding yourself how far you have come by reading some of the entries before disposing of them 🥹
Excellent work TC77 👏
London_1, the builder is one in a million 👏 Your son-in-law definitely made a good choice 🥳 Good luck with sorting out the contents of the kitchen cupboards 🍀
So lovely to see you Florenceem 👋 I for one, although missing your posts 😊thought you were probably very busy with SA work & my suspicions have been confirmed 😉 At least having decluttered so many of your own belongings, you have been able to use the space very profitably 🤩 Sorry to hear about your bad back 😔 I do hope that you are recovering ❤️🩹 & I was pleased to hear that DGS helped out & performed all tasks involving lifting 🥹 It also sounds like you have mastered V*nted 🥳
London_1, what a great way for your eldest to raise funds for such an important trip 😊 Was I imagining it or was there some mention of DGS Danny & family visiting this year 🤨
SuffolkSue, how wonderful that Florenceem has inspired you to donate to the SA 🥹
Florenceem, pleased to hear that your perseverance is finally paying off & that you are now on the radar for treatment for your back 😮💨 Please, please take care 🙏 & obey doctors orders about taking it easy 🙏 Very pleased to hear that MrF is walking better & is able to help you with the listings 👏
Liverpool_Anne, fingers crossed that your car passed its MOT with flying colours & no advisories 🤞
Wonderful cheerleading 2Scratters ☺️ What a wonderful word ‘flummoxed’ & I do love your turn of phrase 😊 I’m rather glad that I am not the only one who writes a list when going out 😉
More great decluttering vulpix 👏 Makes me smile that you are still hunting out items to declutter 😁 I do hope you will treat yourself to a more suitable pair of slippers 🙂
Excellent work with V*nted sales, Florenceem 👏
Brie, lovely post 😊
Just noticed the time so will post & head to bed. Sleep tight 😴

Mrs SD yes he was hoping to but it depends on his job.He travels all over the place and spends a good deal of time in south America. Luckily his wife is quite used to his travels. But it does mean their holidays have to be taken dependant on his work.
Plus as Daisy their little girl is getting bigger they are thinking of locating away from the city and maybe even on the west coast but we wait in hope
DGS Jack is taking his Mum and I on a drive today to show us his skills and his car off. He is so pleased now he is mobile at last.
I will get him to put some bits in the boot to be dropped off at the CS. When he goes back to Kent to work at the weekend he will take my electric airer with him as DD has a tumble dryer so its no longer used so I've found a good home for it.More stuff out of the way

Morning all
I've not achieved much other than decluttering soft plastics and recycling/shredding lots of paperwork - my job includes writing minutes of meetings so I have lots of paperwork!
My biggest achievement though is decluttering my 50s!! I had the week off work and had lovely treats most days including many meals out, cakes and chocolates. My last treat is this weekend and involves a steam train - super excited!
As well as decluttering, I need to put things away in their proper home - perhaps I'll be a new me in my 60s???
Love to all, especially those who are struggling or poorly
