@~FlowerPot~wishing you a speedy recovery,
@Liverpool_Anne neither cat like their very cosy beds, preferring any chair, and big cat who leaves hair everywhere dd2's bed as she's away.
Mrs SD I love how you know just what to say to cheer us all up and keep us ticking along on the train.
I looked back and saw how long I've been here..... nowhere near maintenance mode but not bear thinking where I'd be without it!
Maybe my extreme minimalist book (read on my phone for the first time) but have put a large vintage jug wrapped in bubble wrap in cs bag, also out a tablecloth and wifi extender, I have more of all of these
Just checked nos and now 1578,
Have busy week but hope next week to start preparing for friend and her son coming to stay in less than a month!
Have some socks that will be decluttered into draught excluder when I get round to it. An item sold and packaged up so will count when out.
2 laundry loads done and not quite dry but had lovely long walk with a friend and coffee and definitely spending more time doing things and not tidying up (good in some ways but not good in that can't invite the friend back. (Yet)
Just spent 10 mins looking for the file I want to think out while watching TV...... so many signs that this train is needed x13 -

My youngest DD had Trigerminal Neuralgia about 5 years ago and Ive never seen anyone in as much pain as she was, its horrific, and we ended up in the local walk-in clinic, and she a tough cookie who has had five children but she was crying with the pain.
Its a dreadful thing to have, and I certainly know having seen my DD reduced to sobbing in the huge waiting room full of poorly people. This is a lady with a very high pain threshold as a rule
I do sympathise you poor soul, nothing worse than tooth pain or any nerve pain. I do hope you get a decent nights sleep and are taking it very easily this week, Feet up and blow the housework just rest and relax as much as you can
Sending you lots of good wishes

Well that's some books and bits to 2 different CS. Item collected from condiment shop that fits nicely completes casual winter outfit. Alcohol dropped off with a friend to use for fund raising for her charity over the weekend.
Car cleaned externally employed local business to do. I need to do the inside and that's not happened for over 12 months.I managed to clean the windscreen internally, it takes ages as I leave it too long and the slight grease from the diesel leaves it's mess. Secured my poppy to the grill.
This has prompted me to retrieve 2 crocheted blankets that are complete and drop off the the Night safe charity for young people in our old town, they will leave the car on Tuesday when over at parents place for my shift. A bag of books removed from the loft bagged ready needs loading into the car for a CS drop off.
We are definitely on the band wagon of getting stuff moved along.
As today is Monday its a move along move it out, make money day for me. It will keep me occupied for now.

2 Scratters, my mind is boggled. Which condiment compliments your outfit?
TC, you do well to look back and realise how far you have come. You have kept at it and are making a difference.x
The visitors have gone, a good time was had by all. DD1's vegan cooking is the stuff of legends. Vulpixmas organised. Air b n b booked. Secret Santa organised. I have someone I have had before.
Although I am in maintenance mode I could get rid of more stuff if I had to but I don't want to become minimalist, I like stuff too much.At the moment I am happy with the amount of stuff we possess, some sheds excepted. Things present themselves on a daily basis that can be released. I have decided that the cabbage patch dolls can go. I will send them to my favourite charity shop. They might get a fiver each for them, so an easy £40. I will keep my baby doll, Susan. Susan will have her own box in the loft by special dispensation. I might let her go in the future as no one else can see the attraction.
The plan now we have a month of not many commitments is to empty the storage shed and at least put it back neatly. There are some things which can be sold. The beautiful Edwardian door for a start. Leaf clearing permitting!
A slow day for me today. My knees are complaining a lot today. I think my bones would prefer me to live in the sun somewhere. Shall we house swap weenancy?

I forgot to say, Mr V and his mate put the table top on the wall as abed head. It looks great. Matches the bedroom furniture well.:13

Hi all, as I thought yesterday was a slow decluttering day
. I gave some gardening magazines to ln to take with her to her sil house in case she gets bored while staying there
. I had promised her she could have them but until her second eye op wasn't able to read them but her eyes are great now
. I cleaned the bathroom and washed the shower curtain
and did some batch cooking, had some for tea and 3 portions in the freezer. The freezer is a bit full atm so I held off from doing too much. I did manage a bit more chopping in the garden but I can't count it as it's still in a heap waiting for the green bin to be emptied tomorrow
.
Despite the forecast being rain all day the sun is cracking the flags here right now so I am heading out for a sit with a cuppa so will probably chop or sort out a bit more.
I found my original big to do list and have crossed off a few things but now I can't find the second one I did to do a comparison. What I realised though is the original list was much too vague and had things like 'sort out the garden'and as time has gone on I have realised I need a list of much more specific jobs, lots of things have been half done but are massive jobs so not finished so at some point I will do another list which will hopefully give me achievable chunks I can cross off
@nannywindow I kind of agree about conifers, my old neighbours gave me a small conifer that he said was dwarf but it grew so fast I took it out after about 18 months. He had also planted 3 in his back garden and 1 in the front. When they moved the new owners took out the one in the front as they were struggling to get out of the front door. Then they took out one in the back garden as it was blocking the door to the shed. Both were so big that they had to employ a tree surgeon. The 2 remaining trees have been topped and are at the back of the garden but are still as tall as the houses and taking over the rest of the planting in that area. They can look great but if they are not in the right place or your garden isn't very big they can be thugs.
@~FlowerPot~ big hugs and glad to see dh is stepping up. I hope the jangle eases off quickly.
@London_1 I am sure the "lost" things will be discovered when you are able to get straight after the builders have finished
@TC77 time spent with friends is good for the soul and will help you to carry on with the tidying
@2Scratters I am also curious about wearable condiments
@Vulpix well done on getting the headboard sorted, I bet it looks brilliant
Right time for a cuppa in the garden
Hugs to everyone who would like one
1627 magazines passed on
1628 shower curtain
1629 batch cooking
Take care everyone

Liverpool Anne thanks for your comment about the conifers. Ours are normally about 8ft high and screen the patio from next door but since my cancer this year everything has been put on the back burner and I can only do physical things when my body allows.
Flowerpot I'm so sorry that you are poorly again. I too have had T. Neuralgia and I know how painful it can be so I hope it passes very soon, gentle hugs xx
2scratters I am flummoxed too, so can you enlighten me as to which condiment ?
Vulpix very MSE with the table.
DGS will be coming for his sleepover tonight so I have made up the bed in the spare bedroom and the fridge is full although he has requested a Chinese takeaway for tonight so no cooking for me, Yay !! You just can't fill him up these days and I do wonder how much taller he will get in the future, he's over 6ft already at 15 😲 He obviously follows me..... not !! 🤣
Keep up the decluttering everyone. Hugs to all
nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11 -
I am being so good! Have a super large box ready for Ability for Dogs to collect, full of glassware and decor items, plus a huge bag full of toiletries all in sets for their tombolas and raffles. Feels so good to help a really worthy charity and clear my home at the same time. Have a week to find more things for them so got to get a wiggle on.
Hope everyone had a great weekend. XSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

nannywindow I suspect your fridge won’t be full for long!
Mrs SD - thank you for my gold star 😊
Liverpool_Anne - well done for the phenomenal work on that tree!
I am feeling quite smug as I think I know which shop 2scratters is referring to! The partner to pepper from a marine environment is another clue to help you all out 😁 unless I am wrong and then the joke is on me!
Today I planned yoga and sewing but instead I have emptied two lever arch files, 3 A4 files, a box file and a chunk from the filing cabinet. It wasn’t fun and feels a bit like a drop in the ocean but I need to continue this mission with obsolete paper stuff. It would be quicker if I didn’t have everything in plastic wallets. I have also decided to dispose of reflective journals but I get distracted reading about how I felt on particular days so it is a bit slow! No one is going to be thrilled by the inner workings of my mind and I would rather make the decision while I can. The purpose was to help me at the time rather than recording wonderful events for posterity. I have finally stopped today after going through the towering post pile and reducing that down to the current community magazines and a plant catalogue. Time for a cup of tea!12
