More papers out and a DVD ready to go to CS.
A friend is visiting tomorrow so a bit of a tidy up going on so she has somewhere to sit. Luckily she's the kind of person who accepts people as they are so I don't have to go over the top.
Replied to an email from a friend sent last Christmas. I thought it was time to let her know I am still alive. I have a couple more of those to do - hopefully on Sunday as the forecast is vile so I won't be wanting to do much else (except eat leftover cake, perhaps).Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅16 -

6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Apologies to my fellow Declutterati for not posting for 2 days, sheer laziness on my part & have fallen behind with the cheerleading again 😔
Thursday was cloudy but bright with a high of 18°C. Wrote a 4 day menu plan + shopping list. DH went shopping alone as he decided to take the motorbike as it hadn’t been used for over a month 😱 It started first time 🥳 Now the vacuum cleaner has been repaired, I have finally hoovered downstairs. I then spent more time removing hair from the roller than vacuuming 😥 Fingers crossed that I can remember to do this after each hoovering session & so avoid destroying the new motor 🤞 I continued knitting the scarf - very slow going 😔 Lots of roadworks & diversions meant DH got back 16:30 instead of 15:45. All shopping put away immediately. Dinner was gammon, chips & peas. Wudupa.
1829 - 1831 Kitchen recycling, glass bottle, drinks cans - recycled

Friday was a bright warm day. I was up very late & then did nothing apart from watch TV & knit. Still no sign of the binmen 😔 Dinner was fish in breadcrumbs, chips & peas. Wudupa
1834 - 1835 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
1836 Kitchen detritus binned
I WILL try harder tomorrow. Sleep tight 😴

Hi, I have been busy, but not got a lot to record on the decluttering front.
I took a photo of a stone garden bench and put it on FB for sale last evening. It was sold and collected within 10 minutes.£40, Thank you. Sold it for more than I bought it for as I do with most of my sales. Just call me Delboy.
When we go out after lunch I have got my old knitting needles to take to a chazzer. I am knitting with the wool and bamboo needles given to me by Floss.
You have done really well Pennypincin, considering that you are poorly. xx
Queen Jess, I think those kids art picture frames are a really good idea.
We do a £30 family secret Santa with wish lists. It's the getting together that is the important bit for us at Christmas or as DD1 calls it, Vulpixmas. none of us actually need anything.
We are all looking forward to next weekend. DS and family are visiting, staying in an air b & b. DD1 is hosting what she calls a Vulpixtober feast. Both older children love cooking and hosting, as I did. I have managed to shake myself out of it though.I did catch myself the other day thinking that I might do drinks and nibbles near Christmas for local friends and neighbours. Still undecided.
I keep expecting to have new next door neighbours move in. The house sold in June. It seems to be taking a very long time. Fingers crossed they don't have a barking dog. The reason we moved last time was a lockdown puppy who was very upset when his family went back to school and work.
I had better shake a leg. Vx

Hi all, couple of reasonable days. Nice weather on Thursday so 2 LDFPA bathroom bin and bedroom recycling. The windscreen was repaired by a nice man, chatted about where we are from. Despite living in Liverpool my accent is from Kent where I grew up and he grew up in Dartford so practically neighbours
. He'd lived in Spain for a while and when he came home he said he didn't want to live in Kent as it was too busy and as his wife was from Liverpool they moved here and they are very happy with 1 daughter now a nurse and the other a teacher. His parents followed them up here when they retired and are happily living in a bungalow round the corner
. The joke about a northerner getting into trouble for saying good morning to a stranger when working down south came to mind
Thursday the weather was pants so I went out to do some messages. Birthday present bought, called into b00ts to get some vit d tablets and uu the tail end of a gift card I found lurking, also got some pink yarn for the requested baby blanket. I found it in bnm and was such a bargain I also picked up some other yarn to make a couple of Christmas presents, fingers crossed I am not over ambitious about getting these done. When I got home I sorted a footy ticket and as the emails had got totally out of control again I sat and had a massive clear out, 700 deleted, but I do need to spend a bit more time on it but it is so time consuming I do get fed up with it and lose concentration. I am so glad I didn't have an office job as it definitely isn't my forte
.
The sun is out so 1 load of washing on the line and another swishing. You have to take advantage of the free drying weather when you get itI want to do a bit in the garden today but the ground is soggy so will have to pick the job to avoid the worst bits
. The pigeons are making me laugh with their antics to try and get to the seed feeder which they can't reach, there is other food they can have but they must be the origin of bird brain
.
@QueenJess where do you keep your digital photos? I have loads and am thinking of using one of those digital photo frames because, as you say, so many happy memories.
@regnbue I have never seen the crown jewels despite several visits to the tower because of the queues but I obviously need to try again
@TC77 glad the issue with the energy company is partly resolved. From what you have said it sounds like they haven't got a clue what they are doing, hugs
@Vulpix love the table top, kerching indeed. Delboy
. I love my bamboo crochet hooks, they seem warmer on the hands
@Pennypincin hugs
Well I broke off to put the washing out and OH has had a cancelled lesson so is getting underfootso I am heading out to the garden
Hugs to everyone who would like one

PHOTO CHAT - don't bother reading if you aren't interested in photo chat just now 😀
I've got two photo frames, love switching them on. Photos are on a memory stick and we set it to random. Its lovely seeing photos pop up from holidays or other happy times.
I'm also currently going through photos. Finally got the correct cable and programming to download photos from a camera memory card onto the computer. That holiday was Feb 2019 lol. Slowly slowly as they say. lm also sending pictures from my phone over to computer then ill do my various old pads. I've gone through computer and found (I think) all the many and duplicate places we have saved photos in over the years. At some point I will need mr daisys various old phones and cameras too.
My plan is to get most printed. We currently have albums of individual holidays, one for vehicles, a couple for pets, several of the houses we have been in over the years. Also ones from when we were little that parents had done. So they are all different sizes and shapes, some too tall for a bookshelf, some too wide for a bookshelf.
I'm thinking of getting some made into picture books then they would all be same size and shape. These are only of interest to mr d and I as they are our lives so could easily be dumped by whoever clears out the house but meantime we would have the pleasure of owning them. I got one for a friend recently, less than a tenner for a 24 page little book. Really lovely quality too, I was very pleased with it. That was V!st@pr1nt. Others I will definitely get physical prints from my local shop and put into albums. The holiday ones are mainly in the same type of Disney character albums and I have 3 empty ones awaiting the physical prints from at least 2 holidays so they are all easily identifiable. The older random albums are beginning to fall apart so might treat myself to new ones, but again will be trying to get same size and shape.
Instead of individual categories like our albums currently are, I'm wondering about just splitting them into years. Thats how I'm filing them on the computer, a year folder then each picture filed as 'year month day' and if there's more than 1 taken that day 1, 2, 3 etc after that. That way as the computer stores them numerically, 1 for January is before 2 for February etc. So 2 pics taken on January 25th 2009 would be named: 2009 1 25 1, 2009 1 25 2 etc etc. American dating which I don't like but numerically is working in this situation otherwise it stores all the ones for 1st of month together, then 2nd etc.
Year albums would solve the issue of what do I do with one picture taken at an event, 3 pictures of someone's wedding, short holiday with only half a dozen photos etc. But its nice to get out, for example, the 'house' albums from time to time and see our first flat and us wallpapering or changing the garden etc and working our way throughto currentplace. I suppose that is stored in date order when I think aboutit. Hmm, needs more thought but first I have to just keep going through finding them 😆
Beautiful autumn day here, I'm taking up curtains and pottering but have been doing drawer decluttering this week along with the photos so definitely progress happening. Keep on keeping on folks
