I was thinking about Florenceem recently too. She also posted on the craft thread, don't know if she still does. Siebrie too. Hope they are all ok.
It sounds positive Granny Kate with your house purchase. Fingers crossed.
Thank you very much Liverpool Anne, I would love a couple of cuttings of your rose. It is just like the one in my childhood houses garden. I can imagine it going rampant on the top garden here. I did buy a couple of roses a couple of years ago and hoped they would scramble over an arch but they have done very badly. I have also tried sweet peas there to poor results. I was thinking of giving up with them and trying a clematis instead. Or save myself the trouble and have a bare arch and admit that there probably isn't enough soil there for anything to get it's roots into. I can always come and help you with the tree, just say, I could be there in an hour and a half!I have been to a vegetarian/ vegan restaurant in Manchester which has it's Mother branch in Liverpool, just sayin.
The leaves are starting to fall here. They are not as colourful this year. It will be a good months job to clear them off the paths. I don't make compost, I just mulch the beds with layers of leaves and the worms do the work for me.
Mr V has turned the car inside out this morning looking for some earphones. He has just found them carefully coiled, in his hoody pocket. A good opportunity to fetch rubbish out of the car. It goes for a service at the dealership tomorrow.
Today is a pottering and batch cooking kind of day.
Take care all Vx

Excellent decluttering of t-shirts Gers 👏 No regrets, just an opportunity to replace with new t-shirts that you will wear 😉
Gers, I am slightly surprised that you didn’t just repair the hole in the elbow 😉
The hole was as large as my whole bent elbow and the remaining material was so thin it was almost see-through. It was a very old F&F t-shirt which I wore to death.I'm sad about it though it brought me so much pleasure. Gone!

Hello fellow declutterers, hope everyone is keeping well, cwtches available if not, please just help yourself.
I'm loving the rose pictures, my rose seems to have made a bid for freedom as one branch has gone straight up by about 7ft while the rest is happily rambling with the honeysuckle. When the ground isn't soggy I must tie it back in.
This week when looking for a manual/instruction book for an appliance I decided to cull the drawer so 31 books are in the recycling. Why did I keep 3 old kettle books ? I did spend some time looking at the dates on some receipts and realised that my cooker is over 20 years old ! Don't think they make things to last that long nowadays. I also binned some extra cutting blades for the hover mower which had long gone. I dithered over a tea cloth 🙄 and put it back because it has DD's drawing of her face printed on it from Primary school many years ago.
I other news I decluttered another bit of a tooth so some money changed hands at the dentists. I've happily lost some more weight this week too but I think I may have put it back on as I shared a custard slice with DH yesterday. I've also put some in the TLC carriage for everyone.
Yesterday I took my Dad for his Covid jab and as mine was 2hrs later they did the 2 of us together 👍. I missed my last one because of my cancer treatment and I'm aching today.
Today I decanted some coffee pods into the holder and recycled the cardboard along with a delivery box.
Take care all, hope the MIA's are ok.

I've been thinking about those who we haven't seen for a while and hoping they've reached a stage in their decluttering stage that they are focused on other things or if needed getting tlc. I was thinking of those mentioned and others.
Sending positive thoughts to all x15 -

2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc

Sunday I was up very late to a wet miserable & breezy day. So dark that I have had to put the light on 😔 DH went out for his walk about 16:15. I have spent my day watching episodes of Morse & catching up on the cheerleading 😉
oceanspirit, so lovely to have friends who are more interested in seeing you than noticing possible clutter 😊
Excellent work TC77 👏
Excellent decluttering Happy_Kitties 👏
vulpix, what an excellent & quick result re the garden bench 🥳 I do hope the weather picks up for next weekend for your DS’s visit 🙏 & I love the naming convention “Vulpixtober” I was also thinking how lovely that both your older children have inherited the ‘cooking & hosting’ gene 😊 Fingers crossed that you get lovely quiet neighbours - eventually🤞
Liverpool_Anne, what a lovely post 😊 Adored that you got chatting to the chap who came to repair your windscreen & found out his life history 😂 You weren’t by any chance an interrogator in a previous life 🤣 Excellent work on the digital decluttering 👏 Beautiful rose such a delicate colour - no wonder you didn’t want to do any pruning 😉
QueenJess, good luck with the photos 🍀
daisy_1571, interesting photo chat 🙂 You are so organised 👏 not sure I would have the patience 😉
~FlowerPot~, absolutely no need to ‘sidle in’ 😊 Lovely to see you 😊 & I totally agree with your comment “The days are just spinning away from me!” although I would probably amend ‘days’ to ‘weeks’ 🤣 Great work with the autumn cleaning 👏 & well done on keeping up with the donations to CS as well as the digital decluttering 👏
Crazycatlady2, how exciting to finally have a moving date 😊 Good luck with the rest of the packing 🍀
TC77, nice rug 🙂 Perhaps you could hang it outside & let the rain soak it before bringing back indoors to dry 🤔 that might help with the creases 🤞Hopefully you will find that the more you declutter & deal with frogs, the more your life will move to ‘more things going right’ 🙏
vulpix, great idea for TC77 using the cat as a de-creaser 😉 This “A close second has been trying to leave a mobile provider. It's like trying to leave a cult!” had me in stitches 🤣 closely followed by the thought that I am rather grateful that I don’t own a mobile phone 😂
oceanspirit, so pleased to hear that your friend’s visit went so well 😊 Your comment about enjoying the cleaning & tidying up, leads me to think that you have turned a corner in your attitude to decluttering etc & will soon reach the stage of ‘Maintenance Decluttering & Cleaning & Tidying’
Brie, I am still giggling 🤭
Lovely comment Floss 😊
GrannyKate, everything crossed that you finally get an actual moving date 🤞 More excellent decluttering 👏 Twins, how exciting 🥳 Will you be getting the knitting needles and/or crochet hooks out 😉
Just noticed the time so will post this & make a start on dinner 🙂

There's a post from siebre on the 2024 Frugal Living Challenge thread
Life means I've lurked a lot. I've managed to do some decluttering, but not as much as I'd like - and even less than I need - to do!A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!

1 CONTAINER (box/bag/folder etc) per day; 50/365
1 FROG (minimum) per week; 6/52

2025 NSDs: 15 per MONTH - FEB 4/15; JAN 21/15
2025 Fashion on the Ration: (carried over from 2024) 10+66 = 76

Mrs SD thank you for my gold star, and keeping us all motivated.
The rug seems to be flattening out with the cats taking it in turn to sit on it.
Up early this morning and started putting things away, trying to think of the paper equivalent of a floordrobe sorting files out on the floor and then moved on to others things,, and my belongings seem to move around the house when I'm not looking. So sorting some stuff out and got rid of some of the too many plastic containers under the sink, quite a lot of paper, and filed some things, counting as 8. Been out all day and realised frogs mounting up so thought I'd spend an hours, and put timer on for 20 mins, then 30 mins to try and stay focused. 2 hours and a bit and some done but not all, ordered a few things, checked refunds, couple of emails, had to talk to bank who haven't dealt with something so said unhappy explaining what had happened, so after nearly 15 minutes the member of staff said I could complain but would take her 30 mins to write down the problem I had already explained. I told her not to worry.... life is too short for these things. Not counting frogs but electronic clutter counts, so a few photos out so
1549.@basketcase and anything out is progress and lurking is fine

All dinner prep done & I have started the cooking - fried lamb steaks, roast potatoes, carrots & Yorkshire puddings & green beans. Dinner was delicious 🤤 Left the washing up until DH made a soup as I try to only wudupa once a day 😉 Wudupa
