Oooo, Liverpool Anne, you are funny. My brother would agree to help and never do anything. The box of rocks still in his childhood bedroom.
The pond yacht was my brothers, left in his old bedroom. I bought it him when I went on a school trip to France in 1972. If DS hadn't said he would like it ,I would have kept it. It has aged nicely. Db knows nothing of me stealing it. He would want it if I asked, but not enough to collect it.I do like the idea of yachts and model planes being suspended from the ceiling. Train set is DS's. The kids kept toys at Mum's as they went there a lot.
Proud Auntie moment. My Nephew has bought a farm. He has worked night and day, every day for 14 years to this aim and he has done it. His Mum would have been so proud. She is no longer here so I will be proud for her. He is 32, what an achievement. Of course he will run the farm whilst working his original job. If you want something done, ask a busy person as they say.
I am about to try to get a white mark off the table top. Wish me luck.

Oops I forgot to post this yesterday 🙊
Monday is an overcast & damp day, having rained earlier. Up & dressed by 11:30. DH has been busy - he has fed the birds & the worms + he has repaired our fence. He needed to affix a wooden support pole to the wall (previous one rotted) & put the panel back in 👏 I am very pleased as I only asked him yesterday 😉 The renters next door have a rather ‘stout’ cat who was finding it way too easy to get into our garden 😠 Although only 2.5 feet high, the fence should be a help so our birdies can dine in peace ✌️ I have dealt with today’s mail including phoning the bank & paying CC bill immediately, transferring monies to DSis + checking on my accounts. I have updated my paper records (emptied shredder bin) & all is well with the world - no discrepancies 😊 The soup DH made is very wholesome (lots of vegetables) but is a bit too spicy 😉 Spent the rest of the afternoon knitting & watching TV & trying to stay warm without putting the heating on 😉 DH went out for his walk & came back saying he hadn’t enjoyed it at all 😔 Dinner was lo bacon & pea linguine for me, cold pork, mash & baked beans for DH & DSis. Wudupa.

I've managed to declutter a tiny bit more, and will have 2 more small items going out Sunday and 1 small item more in a couple of weeks.
I've a pile of library books to return in the next couple of days that I keep meaning to read that I'm not likely to get to read or finish reading.
It's going to be tricky to declutter from next week for a couple of weeks as I've someone redecorating my living room bedroom and hallway for me.
The bedroom is well overdue in redecorating, including need a new carpet and underlay.

I had planned to have new bedroom carpets & laminate in the living room. However, it appears I need to have new felt under my roof tiles to keep the rain out, so I guess that will be my flooring on hold again. I will also need to have some redecorating to the front bedroom, which I'm gutted about, as it was only done in the summer! The insurance will pay for that & the skimming to the ceiling though, so that's a bit better.
Anyway, not much more decluttering done here, but plenty went on at DS2 & DiL's new fixer-upper over the weekend. Old blinds & curtains, poles & fixing, one carpet and several bags of rubbish all tipped & 20 window panes cleaned by me, with another 18 by Meg.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Thank you for my star Mrs SD.
2Scratters, I am sorry to have completely missed your post about retiring. I read on my phone and laptop which can cause me to miss pages. Enjoy your retirement, you will soon wonder how ever you used to have the time to go to work.x
Floss, that's vexing about the roof and redecorating.
Mr V and I took the Indian screen down which was our bed headboard. Mr V hoovered it and we put it in the car along with a black bag of DD1's stuff. We will deliver it tomorrow. DD1, will be in possession of all her belongings. Not long now till DS visits and takes his stuff. For the first time ever, everything in our house will be ours. We delivered all DD2's stuff 3 years ago.
Gosh our bed weighs a ton, well the mattress actually. I was expecting a treasure trove of missing earrings when the bed was pulled out, but only found one earring and one earring back. I just don't know anyone who can lose earrings like I do.
There was a request at craft club for bottles for a fundraiser stall. No idea what the cause is but Mr V has enough bottles of Jack Daniels to start a shop. I will take a couple of bottles next week. He doesn't buy them btw, he is gifted them.
Mum gave me a load of stuff for the charity shop, I will drop it off in Sheffield somewhere tomorrow.
Take care all Vx

It stayed dry until about 23:00. I have finished knitting the hat & have knitted one & three quarters of the matching wrist warmers before completing the set with a scarf. Window cleaners came today - first time since the end of July - had a nice chat with his wife. DH went out for a walk & posted all my letters & cards. I made a Bolognaise sauce from scratch. Half for dinner with spaghetti & half bagged up for freezer. Wudupa. DH had a long bath before going to bed.

Hello all, it's lovely to see so many on here still going with the decluttering, keep it up everyone !
I stalled after clearing the office a bit but there are still some more things that can go, all electricals, it's just persuading DH to part with them 🤨 We had some good news in that DH's cancer stats have gone down since his last consultation when they were talking about chemo, so we have a reprieve for 3 months. Sadly it's now a roller coaster and the future seems very scary.
Over the weekend I sorted through my wardrobe again and pulled out a few more tops which are now in the cs bag. Unfortunately I went shopping yesterday for something for my Dad for his 95th birthday next week and I settled on 2 thick tops for him but on the way out I spotted a padded jacket and a teddy bear top (reduced) that caught my eye, naughty nan ! Having lost some weight and although I still want to lose some more, I treated myself. After returning home I noticed the jacket was a size smaller on the label than the hangar but it still fit, woo-hoo, I'm so pleased with myself for that. ( unless the sizes are bigger than normal 😏)
Today I dusted and hoovered downstairs then recycled 2 boxes from deliveries, a c'van magazine and the dust from the hoover 😁
Hope everyone has a good day, hugs are available to anyone in need.

I had three loads of laundry when I got home from Cornwall as I bought a few things at the lovely charity shops there. I say a few, but it was more than I thought as one shop had a £1 closing down sale. The third load is drying out on the line now as it is quite warm today.
I need to do a big declutter of our wardrobes and chest of drawers, but it won't be today as my husband is going out and I'm not doing it on my own!
I have booked a tidy up at the chiropodist tomorrow and I have booked the man to come and do our gutters and windows as well. I need to dust today and vacuum downstairs. My husband picked up my five library books yesterday so I will start one of them later. I called up about my flu jab and the man said you can just walk in and get it done so I will do that tomorrow or Friday and I have to pick up my thyroid meds at the same time.2025 GOALS
