Hi all,
@Brie well done on standing your ground and getting the refund
@GrannyKate everything crossed for you
I tackled the ironing board again yesterday and with some brute force there is some improvement but it's still not right. OH has suggested we bring the one from OH's house over so that will probably happen one day next week when I will be in the area. I did a bit of banking and booked my speeding course thing. I was booked to go to Birmingham for a conference today but I emailed them to cancel as I have a covid booster booked that I had forgotten about but I got a text reminder and decided to cancel the conference. I managed some tidying in the bedroom, more to sort today, nothing decluttered yet but there is potentialI got 3 LDFPA and the sun is out again today so the bedding is swishing
. Last night I was at the football so home late again
Hugs to everyone who would like one
1489 course booked
1490 banking
1491 conference cancelled
1492 - 1494 LDFPA
Take care everyone

Hey hey, Up at 6 today.
Brie, it's vexing getting attitude in a shop. Just no need.
I am trying to eat frogs, but it's s l o w. The interested woman wants an independent valuation of Mum's house, I have no issue with that. Phoned the valuers to make an appointment and they have been given the wrong address, both the number and road name which sounds similar but is wrong. They will only accept the corrected address from the person requesting the valuation, so emailed her ... again.
Spoke to DS, loving his new job btw, particularly the commute which he uses to read, listen to music and write crossword puzzles. He wants an oak bookcase from the storage shed (yess) Also to go when we meet at half term some books, he lent that I have read and some little things to go in a printers tray that I gave him previously. A tiny aeroplane made by my Grandad from an old penny and a tiny silver spoon with blue john stone that my uncle made and a glass from the Shetland Islands.
DD1, visiting on Friday to collect the giant plant from Mum's house. I am not convinced that it will go in her car.
My new passport is due to be delivered today. I will have another go at the driving license.
I have framed a picture bought online in a b &m frame and wrapped it for DD2's Birthday.
Emptied a chest of drawers in the spare room as I have sold them, to be collected over the weekend, along with some dining chairs I was given for a house I never moved to. They may also want another mid century bookcase thing that I was going to renovate but have no room for at this house.
I am on a mission with all the stuff in the storage shed and my shed. DD1 has a display cabinet and a dolls house in there for a start. I can't even get started on the boxes of stuff in my loft.
I am just about to rejig the furniture in the back room and try to fit everything from 2 sets of drawers into 1. In theory it's doable as the massive bible has gone and so has most of my craft stash.
Mr V on his way home from deepest darkest Manchester. He has had his wedding ring repaired as he lost the diamond from it. He is then off to Nottingham and then onto Brands Hatch with my step son till Sunday.
I will strip our bed and then have a machine sewing session. Oh, also need to plant out some Japanese anemones I bought last week, and bit by bits tree and, and, and...

6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Wednesday: another wet dark day with an expected high of 17°C 😕 Normal bin collection resumed today - just the general rubbish 😉 DH & DSis were up about 10:45 as they setting off at noon to pick up DH’s repaired motorcycle trousers. I was up at 11:25 as I have an appointment with the dentist & will be setting off at 12:30. I never used to mind going when Igor was my dentist but now I dread it as the female dentist seems oblivious to inflicting pain 😣 I set off on time & had a good trip - bus, DLR, Tube & Shank’s Pony arriving 20 minutes early. A bit of a gripe as the loo was Out of Order………AGAIN. Poor receptionist - I complained about poor customer & was informed that it had been repaired but had broken down again + by law they didn’t have to provide toilet facilities as they were not selling food & drink 🤔 Another gentleman was waiting & we both bemoaned the fact that Igor was gone. We had a pleasant 10 minute chat whilst I was waiting. I remembered to mention my high blood pressure to the dentist so a note was added to my records. Yippee - I was seen by a very nice male dentist. A painless checkup & he also managed to hoik out a bit of broken tooth 🥳 I am now booked in for my next appointment with him 😊 Good journey home, managed to avoid the rain, the rush hour & the schoolchildren 💃 Home by 15:35. Phoned dental practice with the name of my meds & apologised for being grumpy 😔 DH phoned just after 16:00 - they are on their way back …….. with burgers 😉 They were home about 16:30. Thank goodness for the warming drawer 🙂 We eventually ate about 17:00 then sadly we all wasted the rest of the afternoon & evening by nodding on & off 😔 A lot later DH had a sandwich whilst DSis & I had cheese on toast. I did manage to stay awake long enough to pay the milkman 😉 He had actually taken the week off last week as he was exhausted, so had missed the heavy rain 🌧️ He didn’t get to start catching up on his sleep until Thursday as his wife hired a skip & kept him busy Monday to Wednesday 😥
1709 - 1710 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
1711 - 1712 Kitchen & lr detritus - binned
Thursday is a brighter day & is currently dry @ 11:00 even the sun has put in an appearance 🙂 There is no rain forecast until Sunday 🤞 I have my first cuppa, have set the timer & will start on the cheerleading
Lovely to see you D123456789 👋 Some great decluttering & well done on the sales 👏 Fingers crossed that your DH’s phone will garner some cash 🤞 Congratulations to LO 🥳 Hopefully she will thoroughly enjoy herself & get many more starring roles 🤩
~FlowerPot~ excellent decluttering 👏 Fingers crossed that the GCSE study guides find a new home soon so that you can admire your cleared table 😉
Wednesday2000, what a marvellous photo 👏 & it sounds like you had a wonderful weekend 😊
weenancy, what a great idea for a headboard 👏
TC77, great decluttering 👏 Good luck tackling the office supplies 🍀
London_1, sounds like the builders will soon be in full flow 😉 I will keep everything crossed that they keep to schedule so that when your 3 DGS turn up they can have a relaxing visit 🤞 I hope the appointment at the surgery went well yesterday & that the nurse was pleased 😌 Good luck with restocking your wardrobe 🍀 I loved this - “”I've always had decent shoes and a good bed, as my late Mum used to say “if you're not in one you're in the other, and its never good to buy cheap of either of them" Bless her she was a wise lady”” 😊 Re the settling in, the three of you have done so much work already that I think it will be a relatively quick process to finish the decluttering once the building works are finished 🙏 I predict you will be fully sorted well before Christmas & can enjoy your first (of many) Christmas’s in your new home 🔮
vulpix, apologies for the misunderstanding 😉 Hope DD1’s OH recovers quickly & that his broken toe isn’t too painful 🤞Good luck to DD1 & OH with the rest of their unpacking 🍀 although it does sound like they have made an excellent start especially having to fit it in around work 🤩 Enjoy your alone time whilst MrV is away 😊 Sounds like you will be very busy with the sewing machine 😉
Liverpool_Anne, shame about both the ironing board & the frustrating time spent at the union office 😔 Excellent decluttering of plant pots & yippee to finding a new recipient for lots of hard plastic 👏 Your afternoon/evening out sounds great 😊 Hope the bedroom sort out/decluttering session goes well 🤞
Brie, how annoying 😠 but well done for persevering & keeping your cool 😊👏 The manager sounds like he learned his customer service ‘skills’ from watching Basil Fawlty 😂 Good luck with your bay of e sales 🍀
GrannyKate, fingers crossed that the cold is now permanently despatched 🤞Excellent work with the packing & decluttering 👏 Hopefully the potential moving date is a bit later so that you have time to finish your packing 😉
Excellent work Liverpool_Anne 👏 Good news that you don’t have to buy a new ironing board 🙂 Good luck finishing the bedroom sort out 🍀
vulpix, I was just about going to bed 😂 Having napped all evening I had to wait until I felt sleepy 😉 I do hope the woman interested in your Mum’s house will start to get her act together as it would be nice to have the sale done & dusted well before Christmas 🙏 So pleased to hear that your DS is not only loving his new job but also the commuting 😊 Great work with the decluttering 👏 I am hoping that you will post a picture of the aeroplane, spoon & glass - please 🙏 Sounds like you are going to be very busy over the next few days 🤩 Fingers crossed that the weather stays dry for the gardening work 🤞
All caught up, so will post this & I might even get dressed 😉 Hope everyone has a good day & that the weather stays dry & bright 🤞

So, spare room now tidy. The drawers in there contain the spare bedding for both beds and 3 spare towels.I could only accommodate 3 over night guests and they would have to be very small indeed ! I have kept 3 white Irish linen table cloths, I know not why, I don't have a table.I do use them at craft club sales and stuff I suppose.
Upstairs looks great, bed remade, everything put away. Down stairs is an absolute bomb site. The drawers and 2 of the dining chairs waiting to be picked up. All my crafting stuff piled on the sofa. I will have a brew and knock spots off as my Auntie Eileen used to say.Actually Auntie Eileen used to say, I'll have another fag and then knock spots off, followed by ,it's too late now I'll do it tomorrow! The trouble with living in a very small house is that anything out of place makes the house look a tip. Just the sewing marathon to do now. Planted the anemones. Feeling quite accomplished today. The plane is about the size as a thumb nail.Vx:13 -
Hello all, I'm afraid I'm about 10 pages behind but I have tried to keep reading along, sadly remembering stuff is a different matter, I have brain fog constantly it seems ! I have been busy with RL, plus helping Dad after his stroke so not much decluttering has been done except for the daily rubbish. However today DH would like a 3D printer so I said he must clear the office first. Low and behold he made a start and a long list of items have either been binned / ready for the cs/ recycled or to the scrappy man.
A stereo sound booster
2 cameras, film roll type.
Empty camera filter box
1 broken travel alarm clock, given to me ages ago but I can't remember who and it has no sentimental attachment.
9 empty boxes, the warranties have expired on the items.
2 large boxes from a new printer and a new fan heater, plus all the packaging.
1 old printer with a broken tray to scrappy man.
5 dried up pens
Creased laminator pouches.
Broken cd case
OOD computer programme discs
Will leave the list there and come back after a cuppa.

I'm back and refreshed with a cup tea. Now on with the list
2 loads of washing done and dried today, I'll have to put it away tomorrow though as I've run out of steam.
Children's plastic boules game
Children's ten pin bowling game, DGC are now teenagers but had many happy hours playing with these when they were youngsters.
Empty Hi 8 box
Water pouch, past it's best.
Small marmalade jar, no idea why that was in a drawer in the office 🤷♀️
1 computer mouse
2 children's DVD's
A plastic electric toothbrush holder, never used as brush kept in bathroom cabinet
1 remote control for a DVD player which has already gone.
7 phone modem boxes (? plug in the telephone box on the wall)
Bath bomb
Rusty kitchen grater plus another which has a plastic tray from the caravan
Sml metal canister used for flints
There's still a lot more to go but that will wait for another flurry of activity as DH has a cold and is feeling ropey now. I also have a few bags ready for the cs tomorrow so I'll be back like Arnie 😂.
Hugs to anyone in need or poorly.

@Liverpool_Anne - I would consider the troubles with the ironing board as a sign from the cleaning fairy that I should give the board away and give up ironing.
Still very hot here, though we may only get to 34C today. They are promising we will go do in temperature somethime next week. I can get the basic stuff done - make sure cats are fed and watered, do the breakfast dishes and the evening dishes, make my meals. Cat won't let me make the bed this morning. He (all 16 pounds of him) has decided that the bed is his when I get up and I am not allowed to do anything with it until evening.
Went to bank, made deposits, took roommate G to store, got gas in the car, and then home.
Taking food to the neighbors soon. Paying most of the monthly bills. Need to try and figure out how to pay the rest of them. Made shopping list for tomorrow. Then wash and trim hair. Place medical orders and do a few more phone calls. Then I may be able to relax, but oh no, there is a hockey game on tonight. May be a loud evening as roommate Di gets very involved and yells - or falls asleep during game. I can always hope for the latter.
Hope you all have a relatively quiet day.14 -
Many thanks for my gold star MrsSD, seems ages since I’ve posted, life doesn’t half throw some curveballs. But I’ve managed to deliver 26 Bags of Joy to Dun elm with another 10 bags going tomorrow. The bags of are filled with multiple items but I’m just going to count each bag as one unit. Some of the bags contain items that were long lost birthday presents no longer needed which fit what is being asked for by Dun elm. Presents that were stored away so well I could never find them and so another present was just bought instead. One bag contains a brand new blanket that was made for me, bought for me by my DD as a spare. But it is wasted having been stored for about 5 years now when I have my main one so rather the spare be used.Storage area is looking a lot tidier in the spare bedroom. Final things are being shipped out.
269) another mug broken (going through them quite abit at the minute)
270)-279) items x 10 into the rag bag
280)- 315) 26 Bags of joy dropped off to Dun elm and another 10 to be dropped off tomorrow
316)-318) BN games/toys also dropped off to Dun elm appeal
319) extremely old bottle of left over vanilla essence disposed of and into recyclingDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

so much going on with people. Work taking up a lot of timebut managed a few frogs but no decluttering.
Have my oldest friend (went to nursery together) coming over from Reno in about 6 weeks, so at the moment I wouldn't have anyone in the house for a cuppa I have to transform it to having her and her youngest (adult son) to stay for a few days. Need to get a dining room table and pull my socks up.
Well behind on nos, so going to aim for 250 out before she comes - not sure how as currently I can find a reason to keep everything!!

@TC77 hopefully having such an exciting visit ahead of you will be the impetus you want x
@vulpix I've PMd you x
Am still slowly sorting & decluttering. Last weekend it was the landing cupboard which got blitzed and now looks loads better. I've also sorted my food cupboards as I'm off to a gig tonight where the band ask for donations to the local foodbank for whichever town/city they're playing in. So a carrier bag of excess will be travelling to Sheffield later 😊
Today's plans include flu & Covid jabs, a coffee date, dropping off some excess toiletries to be added to hampers for a charity raffle and driving the scenic route to my concert.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
