London_1 said:P.S. I have a Kindle which for some reason will just refuse to charge up , but then it was only found when I moved house two months ago, and it turned up when the moving men moved my very heavy chest of drawers It had fallen down the back probably about two plus years ago, and just run out of charge.
The light comes on but the battery just won't charge up I think it will have to be binned ,shame really as its got a nice pink cover on it as wellno idea what else I can do with it

Morning All, beautiful blue skies here this, makes such a difference to my mood.
Not overly counting decluttering but slowly plodding in the background. Did a carboot yesterday and what we sold covered the entrance fee! Lots of people but not much buying or wanted stuff for 50p or less! Might give vinted a go or find homes to donate stuff too.
Exciting news we are converting our van and have decided on cupboards and rock n roll bed colours and booked in for October for a fairly reasonable price and will be fitted to the van, so some nice road trips over winter.
Can not believe all the Halloween and Christmas goodies in the shops already - trying to avoid as don't need any of it nor any new clothes/shoes! Have gone back to a weekly shop to reduce spends, focus my meal planning and use up stocks we already have.11 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Forgot to mention that we had rain late evening yesterday. Up early for me 10:45 having had just one bathroom visit at 08:00 🙂 Monday is bright & sunny with a forecast high of 21°C. This afternoon I have my meds review with the pharmacist. This is also the day that the smart meters are being fitted - as far as I am concerned DH got bullied 🙁 although hopefully I will be out whilst it is all happening 😉
Fizz2015, I definitely agree that bright weather lifts one’s mood 😊 Such a pity that you only broke even re the car-boot 😔 Fingers crossed that you have more success with vint*d as it would be great to earn a bit towards the van conversion 🙂 I haven’t noticed the Halloween & Christmas items ………….mainly because I haven’t been shopping recently 😂
DH is in the garage creating access for the Smart meter fitters & I have taken the opportunity to phone my bank to pay my CC bill & check my accounts. Paper accounts now updated & everything filed 🙂 PB cheque arrived & if my appointment is reasonably quick, I will go to CW & bank it 😉

Helloooooo
I have a plan as it’s all or nothing with me. As well as the paid stuff The garden needs tidying up and chopping back, I have housework and I want to start trying to walk the dogs regularly.
So rather than try and do it all, I’m going to try and do 24 min chunks of each.
If it gets too much I’ll decrease it but I think I will be happier as things will be done.I noticed this evening that it was really dark much earlier so will utilise my lunch break to do the 24 min gardening unless it’s hammering it down!I think then decluttering will happen naturally…..⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

The answer if you are untidy and lazy like me is to have less stuff until you can keep on top of it without noticing. I have almost none of my organising stuff left as I had nothing to organise in it. I now hate organising as it takes ages to do and I resent that time. Not that I don’t organise stuff, it’s just I don’t do it very often now. Less is more…2025 decluttering: 3,491🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Hi all, the past few days have been a mix of being busy and being very lazy
. Saturday I had a meeting in the morning and the footy in the afternoon. In between I managed 2 LDFPA as the washing left overnight on the line had dried
. The meeting was ok but I have somehow been nominated to attend a conference in Birmingham in October. The less said about the football the better, we were dreadful
. Sunday was a lazy day, just sorting out bits and pieces. Raining all day
. Yesterday I sorted some stuff from the room of doom. 5 bags of stuff emptied as I was looking for a particular thing. The bags were mostly clothes. Honestly I had forgotten some of the things in there and was congratulating myself about how much space I had in my wardrobe
. Well that's all gone to hell in a handbasket
so another sort out of clothes is required, I have enough jumpers and pjs to stock a shop. The jumpers will be worn but I really don't need so many and the pjs need a serious cull, I only really wear them in the coldest weather or if I am camping. Some have never been work
. Apart from that I booked my place on the conference, emptied the kitchen recycling and tried to phone my dniece but she was out walking the dog they are looking after so rearranged by text to speak this afternoon. In the afternoon we took ln out for afternoon cream tea as it was her birthday and a present, card and wrapping paper from stash was handed over
. The ironing board was temporarily cleared of the wedding cake so I could do some ironing as I literally had nothing ironed to wear. The plus side of this was that the kitchen surface was cleared to make room for the cake board while I was ironing
.
This morning while drinking my tea I have been watching the bird feeder and I have been surprised by the appearance of a couple of jackdaws. I have never seen them before on the feeder but they are stuffing themselves.
Today I have to collect my quilt from the dry cleaners and do a few other messages so I had better get weaving. It looks like a sunny warm day is on the cards so I will put a wash on
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Take care everyone

Still sorting out my winter wardrobe (including shoes) and finding lots of things that don't fit anymore or I didn't wear last year (usually for a good reason). As I can't get everything done whilst I'm in the work crunch time, I'm doing a mix of decluttering and tidying together so progress is still being made. I've no headroom for digital stuff right now, so hoping to get back to that when I'm a bit less busy. Also found some display storage for DS that he can use and he has agreed anything else can be put away. This way it'll contain the mess a bit.Digital:

Interesting article. My take from it is don’t over consume and let the shops store goods for you. I am sure most people have enough storage but far too much stuff. The answer isn’t more storage. I can’t believe some people need an influencer to explain it. 🤣Junk drawer in the kitchen emptied and the majority of the contents went straight into the bin.
swing out pantry shelf sorted. Nothing to chuck but some things I have decanted into glass jars labelled. My usual trick is to forget what it is and so chuck it out.
My shed emptied and repacked with DD1’s stuff added. I am keeping the mid century cabinet until I know where we will be moving to.Phew, a good half hour cardio workout for the 3 of us to move the patio pieces from the top garden into the ladies car. Also gave her some pieces of stone left over from having walls built in the garden.Rope top edging sold, being collected later.Loving the weather, lots of laundry done. Bed quilts washed and on the line today.I’m on fire today. Been to yoga, now off to craft club.Laters. Vx:16
