I work at the hospital which took the majority of the critical children, it was a very sombre place today. Psychological & emotional support staff have been in the departments involved in the childrens' care, and we've had TV news crews outside all day.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

What a shock - just watched the Women’s Rugby 7s semi final games 🤩 + Great news for Team GB - another Gold Medal 🥳 In between watching various Olympic sports I have been catching up with episodes of Casualty only 4 behind now. We will be having salad tonight - so I have done as much prep as I can including hard boiled eggs, cooked & cooled green beans + cooked & cooled potatoes - our small crop of home grown potatoes 🙂 DH eventually arrived home 21:25 - wrung out as even with summer biking kit you sweat 😰 The potatoes were delicious 😋 Wudupa
1237 - 1241 Kitchen recycling, DSis recycling, drinks cans, plastic bottle, cardboard packaging - recycled
1242 - 1244 Kitchen, lr, DSis bedroom detritus - binned
London_1, sounds like you are enjoying yourself & getting thoroughly immersed in Island life ☺️ You have worked very hard to get everything unpacked 👏 How lovely that all your 4 DGS will all be visiting over the holidays 🥹 Any chance of borrowing your son-in-law - I could do with an in-house chef 🤣🙃
Excellent decluttering ruby_eskimo 👏 I hope you have an absolutely marvellous time in Paris next week. There is nothing quite like attending an Olympic Games 🤩 Might I be nosy & ask what sports you are seeing 🙏
crazybunnylady4, what a busy bee you have been 👏 Hope your DM’s hospital appointment went well 🤞
London_1, congratulations to DGS Jack on passing his driving test 👏👏🥳🥳
Nice to see you Pennypincin 👋 Hope you enjoy camping out at the church conference ☺️ Very sensible & useful purchases 👏
oceanspirit, a lady chimney sweep - how wonderful 🙂 Way too hot to be doing anything 😉
Excellent work sorting the shed vulpix 👏 Hope the EA is correct & you will find your future dream home at the end of next month 🤞 I also hope that the procedure on your ear went well & that if you were unwell you are now fully recovered 🙏
Liverpool_Anne, what a lovely afternoon at Strawberry Fields ☺️ Such an awful event in Southport & now made even worse by the abhorrent behaviour of thugs attacking a mosque & rioting with injuries inflicted on police officers 😔
crazybunnylady4, all in all a very successful day for you 👏☺️ Pleased to hear that your DMum was in & out of the hospital so quickly 🙂 The Southport incident is totally horrifying & what has happened since then is so appalling 😞 that words are insufficient.
Great decluttering Muddy_Walker 👏 I count day to day rubbish/recycling as it keeps me on the straight & narrow 😉
Lovely post London_1 😊 How great that your Dobbies friends are keeping in touch 🙂
vulpix, lovely post. I agree that Margarita time takes precedence over gardening 😉
Floss, hugs to you & the staff. What is the world coming to 😞
All caught up so off to bed. Sleep tight 😴
P.S. Another Gold medal from the Swimmers 🥳

Thank you Mrs salad dodger.
It seems to have been getting warmer here day by day, not that I'm complaining.
Picked up 2 pairs of jogger material and style shorts in the shop I was given a lift to as they were the only ones that I could find in my size and liked.
£9 each, so not too bad and should be reworn at home.
I only took jeans with me to wear as the bottom part of the outfit this year and I didn't know to risk overheating.
Live and learn for next year.Decluttering campaign 2023

Feedback from the emergency house viewers. Beautiful house but too small, they thought they could put an extension on. Err, no, it's a conservation area. They wanted a bigger garden. Ooo dear, they will have a shock. They are from Manchester and they won't get a bigger house and garden out here on their budget.
I sewed the quilt top. I cut it out a few weeks ago. We are going to Bury market after my hairdresser has been. There is a stall that repairs clocks and our kitchen clock has been on the blink for months.
Nothing new on the market suitable today. I have cast my net into Cheshire, Staffordshire and Sheffield, as well as the whole of Derbyshire!
Best go, Vx:16 -

As it’s the last day of the month, just thought I would check in. A few more bits out, but a fair bit in whilst we are on holiday. Feels like quite a bit of stuff in and the amount in for the month seems huge.
The plan for next month is to continue counting things in and out, with the number of things in to come down and the number of things out to be higher than those coming in. I won’t be counting things for the month coming in that are a 1 for 1 replacement for things going out (eg kids clothes etc), so I’ll get a better idea of how many things I am adding.
Stuff in:
1 - free tea towel (annoying as it’s quite thin and I don’t think I’ll use it. Will likely send to charity)
1 - keyring (so I can hopefully stop losing my keys at the bottom of my bag)
20 - felt tip pens for DS (some key colours have run out in his current set)
1 - magnifying glass for DS (he lost the last one and it wasn’t that good anyway. Now he can stare at coins and rocks in lots of detail again)
2 - car toys (free with meal)
1 - second hand book for DS (ran out of holiday reading!)
1 - skipping rope (DD Xmas present)
1 - solar keyring torch (DS Xmas present)

Bits of light housework done today plus some more papers sorted through; some put with others of same subject, some on the filing pile and others shredded/recycled.
Going out with friends tomorrow so not much else will happen.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅14 -
Vulpix, hope your trip to Bury market was successful I love the place my nephew was the vicar at St Annes in Tottington just outside Bury and I loved visiting it. He has moved now and is the vicar at the English church in Monaco. Far too hot for me to visit as I don't do heat very well. I can remember buying some gorgeous wool in Bury market. No market like that down south sadly
I feel for the poor folk in Southport what on earth possessed a young man to do such a dreadful thing to this little girls and how sad that all this involved will never forget that dreadful day. I feel for the young mans parents as well as his life and theirs has been change irrevocablyIt affects so many people not only the injured but the emergency workers and the police officers who will probably have children of their own Followed by some dreadful rioting and even more police officers being injured ,what is the matter with people today.
Life is so precious and fleeting yet so many dreadful things are occurring in what should be a terrific new 21st century we were all so pleased to start off with. Life seems to be getting more violent by the day.
Not much done today it was far too hot, but DGS Ben arrived so two of the boys are here, and DGS Jack is coming next week for a few days
Sorry Mrs SD my dear son-in-law Simon is my DD's and mine sole cook, we enjoy his cooking so much.
For a civil engineer his cooking is amazingits his hobby and he's darned good at it:)
Hope everyone is coping OK in the heat i'm just wilting at the moment
