Monday: DH got up 06:15 & left at 07:00. Fingers crossed it stays dry for him 🤞 I didn’t get up until noon (I was awake to say goodbye to DH 😉) So much for summer starting yesterday, it is overcast & started ‘spitting’ at about 13:00 ☹️ Lots of mail for me today, so I spent some time dealing with it whilst having my first cuppa. Decided that as I had actually packaged the embroidery project, I would head off to the P.O. & then go to the bank (opposite direction) to bank my PB winnings as the cheques arrived today (+ get some cash) 😊 Managed to use the ATM all by myself today 😂 I was out for just over an hour & luckily no rain 😉 I updated my accounts when I got back. Also dealt with a tadpole before it turned into a frog - phoned Dental Practice & booked an appointment with the hygienist. This afternoon I watched a couple of episodes of Blockbusters with Bob Holness - a blast from the past 😊 & just to continue with the ‘how long ago’ chat - 40 years ago 😱 DH phoned 16:45 sounding very sorry for himself - he had been rained on all day from about 09:00 ☹️ He was going to have a shower & then dinner at 19:00. Late afternoon I finished the scarf - the colour is ‘buttermilk’
Dinner was breadcrumbed chicken in a cheese & spinach sauce with mash & green beans. Wudupa. The forecast rain held off until 19:00 & then came down in stair rods ☹️

London_1, lovely memories 😊 & love that your DGS is now living so close to Central Park 😊
Nice to see you Pennypincin 👋 Some great decluttering especially as you were so busy 👏
vulpix, I must admit I am in the other camp as I am rather sad that young people will never know a time without tech 😔 I agree that Bakewell tarts & puddings are very sweet but I do love them 😉 I had to smile at the idea that you are considering making one more house move 😉 I hope the rain held off long enough for you to complete your To Do list 🤞
Brie, I suppose that is one way for MrB to declutter 😅
short_bird, that was so funny 🤣
oceanspirit, congratulations on getting a new to you car 🥳 It might have taken a while but hopefully it will give you many years of good service 🤞 Hope OH’s operation goes well 🙏 Two weeks will fly by especially if you are keeping busy with decluttering 😊 Hopefully the weather will be cool enough for you to enjoy all the soup 😉
weenancy, that sounds like a very interesting programme 😊 Especially the practical advice about selling era specific items 🙂 I actually have a combination VHS/DVD player + a spare 😂
Brie, love the idea of downloading to cats’ brains 🤣
Muddy_Walker, sending lots of good wishes for your mum’s op 🙏 How lovely to spend time with your cousin 😊 & love the idea that grey hairs & wrinkles are just an illusion 😅 Shame that the weather has prevented you from gardening or fence painting 😔 so I hope that you have been resting in the TLC Carriage & using the massage chairs etc 😊
Great work vulpix 👏 oven cleaning, knitting & balsam bashing 👏 Well done to MrV for decluttering a few more bits 👏 Like the Bob Dylan quote - I now have the song running around in my head 😊
Great decluttering TC77 👏 Don’t forget to update your numbers 🙂
🙊 it is very late, so I am off to bed 😉 Cwtches to all 🤗 sleep tight 😴

Hi all, a few days since I checked in and not much decluttering done. The weather has been dire and I have 3 loads of washing drying on the maiden, OH had to take a load of jeans to the bag wash to dry. I really don't like summers like this
.
The union thing took me a while to sort out but it has been typed up and emailed off so fingers crossed for the lady.
I have continued sporadically to sort out the conservatory. I have taken to picking something up while waiting for the kettle to boil and have binned/ recycled lots of bits of carp that way, a cardboard box broken down and recycled, a doorstop that had developed a hole and was leaking filling binned, 2 books into the cs bag and the kitchen bin, kitchen recycling and bathroom bin emptied. The fridge and store cupboard sorted through and 5 items of ood food binned, annoyingly, mostly stuff OH bought but didn't use. The ingredients for the wedding cake have been bought and OH has them all in a big bag in the hall to take to the other house as the cooker there has a very low setting as it is a fruit cake that needs a low and slow cook. Emails have been deleted and some crochet has been done.
Apart from that I have watched a lot of tennis and the football
OH has been ill but nothing drastic but meant a bit of reorganising of the meal plans to accommodate the dodgy stomach
I have a few admin type things to sort out today that are in danger of turning into frogs so I will crack on with them when I have finished my cuppa. I will also try to catch up properly with the posts, this train continues to move at the speed of light. Hugs to everyone who would like one

I haven't posted for a few days or more, but I have been reading along.
I had a hectic weekend as I did another quick trip to Broadstairs on Friday to show my brother the houses we like to gain his opinion. He is in the same mind as me, which reassured me. I have caught a slight cold and cough again which seems to be the norm now every time I venture back into Central London! We had to run to catch the train as we were cutting it fine there and back in a few hours.
We had a viewing yesterday for our house and the person did really like it, but they made an offer on a house in Shoeburyness and it was accepted. Shoeburyness is further away from London geographically by train so they probably got more house for the money in that area. They said they would keep our house as a second choice if anything went wrong. The estate agent called and said our house has had several thousand clicks which is good.
My cat had a fit this morning so we had to take her to the vet. It is a symptom of her heart condition, but she had one fit a week ago so we took her in to check. The vet said she seemed healthy and she has gained a little weight back, but if she has two more fits to definitely bring her back.
I am going to go through both our entire wardrobes tomorrow and will take the surplus clothes to the charity shop on Friday before we catch the train into London again to go to Margate/Broadstairs this weekend. We have a concert and an Airbnb booked for two nights and we are viewing a few more houses. Life feels very busy at the moment!
I am not feeling my best with the cold so I am just relaxing watching TV and having a local takeaway pizza for dinner.

Not feeling it at the moment... feels like my life is on pause until next week when I finally finish work. Yesterday I did check the other puzzle cupboard and then today I found all the puzzles lurking around downstairs and sorted those out. Think that's it for puzzles at the moment, although I'm sure more will go in the future. Also lots of other bits and pieces decluttered just as part of the usual tidying etc.One new item in - a replacement cable for another one that had broken.Digital:

@Wednesday2000
sorry you don't feel well and sorry about the cat too!! Our (unfortunately former) cat had a couple of fits but that was due to an imbalance of her blood sugar being diabetic. Vet might want to check that if she's been losing too much weight and fits again. I'm probably completely wrong of course.

Best laid plans …Spent some time today helping DSis pack for her upcoming move. Brought a few things back here to keep them out of the way on the day. Will probably go back later in the week and in the meantime dig out some boxes and holdalls for her to use.
Did have a quick tidy up in the bathroom this evening to make it easier to clean at the weekend - an empty shampoo bottle into recycling and some general rubbish binned.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅13 -
