Saturday: A very dull start to the day but according to the forecast it should stay dry 🤞Now that I have my cuppa I will go straight into cheerleading 😉
Liverpool_Anne, a lovely cheerleading post 😊 Thursday sounds exhausting 😩 I do hope you got everything typed up re the union thing & that the person who is being treated so badly will have her situation resolved fairly & speedily 🙏 A good idea to pack shop bought cardboard boxes flat as they are not particularly cheap especially if they have been bought from the P.O. ☹️ Almost at the halfway point in your decluttering numbers 😉
vulpix, not quite sure why ‘that woman’ would think the balsam is pretty 😣 Far too much foliage + it must be a weed as it grows way too quickly & is way too tall 😔 Sorry to hear that it was your feet that hurt but pleased to hear that you stopped ‘balsam bashing’ before you were too exhausted 😊 Fingers crossed that you can manage another half hour today 🤞 Such a shame that you couldn’t rent a goat for a while 😉
Florenceem, fingers crossed for a favourable outcome to DGS’s audition 🤞Great work in the garden 👏 & very pleased to hear that MrF is decluttering his office & helping to boost your numbers 🥳 I am awarding him a medal 🏅 + two Gold Stars ⭐️⭐️ for you as I have noticed your numbers 😉
crazybunnylady4, your comment “because I worked in a charity shop for about 18 months ! ………….. I still have "connections" so I could ask..but thats DANGEROUS 🤣” almost made me fall off the the sofa 🤣
Excellent work in the bedroom QueenJess 👏 especially making a decision on the figurine 😊 which has prompted me to award you a medal 🏅 Fingers crossed that someone will take it off your hands quickly 🤞
TC77, you might have forgotten about your 7 day strategy 😉 but your decluttering figures are moving along very nicely 👏 Good luck dealing with more frogs 🍀
daisy_1571 That cartoon is so, so funny 🤣 Just wondering if your ball of fluff has been minded to help you out 😉😉
Look at that, all caught up 🙂 I suppose I should get around to doing some decluttering but have decided to do a bit more knitting & a bit more work sorting out the To Do lists. I know, I know I am just rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic 😂 but hopefully inspiration will strike & I will get some decluttering done 😉 or at least some cleaning & tidying up 🤞
Hope everyone has as good a day as possible 😊

Some work done on the garden yesterday finally. I have been feeling a bit overwhemed by it if I am honest. Everything has taken a back seat until now. I spent an hour cutting back bushes, roses a generally tidying up. It doesnt look any different yet I know that if DH went and spent half an hour on the grass it would look so much better. 🤷♀️. This afternoon I will be pressure washing more decking. That should make a great difference as it is outside the french doors that lead off of the kitchen. Technically a decluttering day off today, but I did sort out one thing I had been considering in the week and decided to eject all the horrible plastic plates/bowls etc for the kids as we just use the usual plates and bowls anyway. I have some instructions in the kitchen cupboard that I do refer to for the washing machine, blender etc, but they were in plastic pockets in a folder. It was really irritating to pull out the folder, undo it, pull out the right instructions from the pocket to just look something up quickly. I took them all out of the folder and simply used a spare bookend that I had and it's so much better. The simple storage is always the best. Thanks for my medal @Mrs_Salad_Dodger someone took the figurine quickly and already loves it (they sent me a photo). My nan kept the receipt and she bought it in 1997!5 things in today... 2 pairs of shorts for the summer for DD (plus 1 of packaging to reuse) and I bought myself a plant and plant pot for the library as there are no plants in there. Been planning to buy one for a few months and finally succumbed!1 - baking tray organiser doesn’t work for my drawers (Buy Nothing)
18 - plastic cups/plates etc (charity bag)
1 - dress DD doesn’t like (charity bag)
2 - DS paperwork (recycled)
4 - instructions not needed (recycled)
11 - stationery (charity bag)New total = 13,838July In: 22, July Out: 653I also took the memory boxes down from the shelves in the library as I have loads of things floating around that need to be filed there. Might tackle them later this weekend or next week.2025 decluttering: 3,491🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

The box of oddments finally left the dining room and went directly to a CS. Unfortunately it was on the way to me collecting a box of unwanted frames from a freegler. But I think not all will be kept. One is a real beauty of rosewood and some other light wood but has a slice missing from one side so I think that it will be for the bin unless I can fine a way to restore it. Maybe cut it down to a smaller size or something but that then will require glass to be cut too....hmmm.....I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Afternoon all,
Not been feeling too well last couple of days, not sure if I've mentioned or not. Anyway have weekend off from work; unfortunately body clock woke me at the usual time of 6am again 😠 I did get up briefly for a drink and then back to bed until DMum went out at 8am.
Breakfast/tea made, Mac fed and spoiled with a fuss, then WM x 2 and hung on the airer.
EB*y parcel packed up for the Inpost lockers tomorrow, was going to take it today but I'm going out tomorrow so will do it enroute instead of 2 trips. Also means I don't have to leave the house today 🥰
So thats 1 x cardboard box and some bubble wrap used up.
Going to have a quick tidy round in a bit and write a shopping list. Fridge has been sorted out and used up some LO bits for lunch - dinner will be scrambled egg on toast with pigs in blankets 🥰😋
Would dearly love a nap as I am completely worn out but the kids over the back - the way my bedroom faces - are in the garden shrieking like banshees - at the risk of sounding like a old woman, I am dreading the summer holidays 😑
Right better get on with some things. Might crochet later if I'm up to it. X14 -

crazybunnylady4 said:@crazybunnylady4 re getting yarn for your animal blankets, have you tried searching cs ? I have had mixed results, some have big displays of it and others just get some occasionally but if you let them know you are looking for it they might keep some to one side for you, although you probably don't need any right now
That's where most of my wool oddments from past blankets have come from....because I worked in a charity shop for about 18 months !
I found a massive stash of wool when I started there and my boss said I could have it for next to nothing..into the boot of my car it went and it came home with me. It made several nice blankets that are now somewhere with a rhino/elephant/other wildlife in South Africa. 🥰
I still have "connections" so I could ask..but thats DANGEROUS 🤣Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal
