Excellent news about Mr SD's hospital visit.
Mr V has gone to Nottingham, tooth extraction, visiting SD1, still not weight bearing after her knee op but much better, and visiting SS who is helping with something with the car for the carnival tomorrow.
I AM going to do some balsam bashing as it is fine. A woman berated me for wanting to try and eradicate it from the top garden. It's a strip of land about 1/4 mile long. She thinks it's pretty and doesn't smother native plants. Err nope. As we were driving up Winnats pass yesterday after taking DD1 and OH to Sheffield I could actually envisage it covered in Himalayan Balsam. I have got to try at least. The Peak District can't be taken over by this smothering weed. It is a notifiable plant, which I have done. The advice they gave me was to pull it up before it sets seed. It is a big job, on boggy uneven ground. I have got to try though. So today I will be decluttering Himalayan Balsam.
I wore a top yesterday that will be going when it has been washed as it is too exposing in the boob department. Also to go a little black cross body bag which I love but I can't fit my phone in it. A couple of knitted hats finished and another started. Only 2.5 balls of wool left.

Hi all, just reporting in. Yesterday I was out of the house for 6 hours on the union thing and just collapsed on the couch when I got home. After tea I did do a bit of crochet and broke down 4 cardboard boxes but they are the type I have bought in the past from the post office to send presents to various family so they are now being stored flat. This is something I noticed while at my sister's that she does, storing potentially useful boxes flat so that is the plan for now. I know at some point they would have been rebought so I think it is justified to keep them for now. Today I have been for my chiropodist appointment and am back home having a cuppa before I crack on with typing and emailing the union thing. It will probably take a while as it is a bit complicated. I have already made a referral to a case worker as this member has been treated disgracefully and her employers need to be dealt with asap.
@Vulpix what a silly woman with her ignorance about the balsam. You would think most people would be aware by now, good luck with it. Hope the wisdom tooth extraction is painless.
@charlies_tribe I have a bag just like that, not as tidy as yours though
@weenancyinAmerica I really like your method of organising your to do lists, I am going to give that a go
@crazybunnylady4 re getting yarn for your animal blankets, have you tried searching cs ? I have had mixed results, some have big displays of it and others just get some occasionally but if you let them know you are looking for it they might keep some to one side for you, although you probably don't need any right now
@Mrs SD great news about the blood tests
Right better get weaving or the morning will be gone. I will update numbers when I have done something
. Hugs to everyone who would like one
Take care everyone

I only managed half an hour. That was how long it was before I had to sit down. Not my back today but the bones in my feet. Can’t sit on the job as it’s a bog. I did mangle a couple of saplings whilst I was there. Dry forecast for tomorrow so even another half hour will make a difference. The stuff is 6 and 7 feet high! Inside an abandoned stone building too. It ends at the telegraph pole. Back to knitting 😁 Vx:17

Dgs called by to see us and tell about his audition for the UK tour of Chicago. It is not a musical I have seen so looking forward to seeing him in it when it comes near to us. The nearest theatre is a long way but it will be worth it.
While Dgs was here - Ddil called with Dgd to collect the dresses that I shortened.
I popped to SA to secure inner doors and then went back to lock up. There were donations to sort so more sacks went out into the crate.
My back was just telling me that I had done enough gardening - it looks so tidy out there now.
I filled my shopping trolley ready for the charity shop.
Today I popped to SA - there are faults with the table tennis table that was delivered yesterday - I didn't sign anything so off the hook.
I rushed down to town to get a key cut as I had C's key and he needs to get into the office tomorrow.
I was hoping that eldest Dgd could come round but she was going to be at work so we decided to go to the charity shop and then get some shopping. I have done a lot of steps today again.
Mr F is getting rid of files in his office so my numbers are going up quickly.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

That's where most of my wool oddments from past blankets have come from....because I worked in a charity shop for about 18 months !
I found a massive stash of wool when I started there and my boss said I could have it for next to nothing..into the boot of my car it went and it came home with me. It made several nice blankets that are now somewhere with a rhino/elephant/other wildlife in South Africa. 🥰
I still have "connections" so I could ask..but thats DANGEROUS 🤣13 -
Well I did declutter the side in my bedroom, although it took me almost the whole day. It now just has two small things to do left on it, with the rest of the side now clear. I even took two pending parcels to the post office. It's amazing how much better the room looks for just clearing that.I even decided to get rid of the massive figurine I had taken off a different window sill. I knew then I should get rid of it, but was pausing as it came from my nan. But it really doesn't remind me of her, it's too big to go anywhere and has no strong feelings attached to it. Anyway, it's been pending for months, but now it's going to go.2 - packaging reused

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Mini Mission in May
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday night’s film didn’t improve & I had to read a synopsis to have any hope of even a semblance of understanding 😧 Friday: Dry & overcast but I have no idea what the weather was like this morning as I didn’t wake up until gone 13:00 & had left DH in bed 😧 although he has an excuse as he was up very early Thursday 😉 I have my first cuppa & have settled down to a bit of knitting whilst I wake up 🙂 DH got up just before 14:00. He has filled the bird feeders & also fed the worms (with lettuce that had gone manky as I forgot it was in the fridge ☹️). At least it hasn’t gone totally to waste 😮💨 Did nothing apart from knit & watch TV including some men’s wheelchair tennis - amazing 🤩. Dinner was fish in breadcrumbs, chips/fries & peas. Wudupa. Stayed dry all day 🥳
